Constraction reviews in Manor, Texas

If you want your home built by someone who loves Austin as much as he builds here, Michael Thurman is your guy.

Michael Thurman is not just a builder — he’s Austin’s home‑building legend. Thurman Homes is regularly highlighted in the annual Austin Modern Home Tour, and he was recently crowned Green Homebuilder of the Year. Austin Business Journal hailed him as the “cream of the housing crop.”

Integrity, passion, and precision are just a few things that set Mike apart from the others.  Mike lives and breathes this city — you’ll often find him surfing the lake at sunrise, then cruising his communities in a golf cart with his dog Lincoln.  It’s not uncommon for homeowners to stop him to say hello.

Mike truly loves what he does and the evidence is in his unique, beautifully designed homes.  He’s even created a new architectural feature that he's named the “Dog Grotto.”  This is just one of the many reasons why his clients become his friends.

Mike is a true genius in this field — honest, genuine, and an absolute pleasure to work with. If you’re looking for a builder who delivers more than just a house — someone who will build you a home — look no further than Mike Thurman.

If you’re thinking about getting a Thurman Home, don’t hesitate, just do it! The entire team is amazing, and we were so lucky to build the house of our dreams. Our ideas came to life thanks to their help and guidance

Thurman Homes builds with a level of care and intention that really stands out. The homes are thoughtfully designed, modern, and filled with smart features that make daily life easier. Every finish feels elevated, and the layouts are bright, open, and welcoming.

What impressed me most was their focus on sustainability. From solar panels to geothermal systems and energy-saving materials, their homes are built to perform and reduce long-term costs without sacrificing style.

The team was knowledgeable, communicative, and genuinely committed to quality. If you’re looking for a home that’s as efficient as it is beautiful, Thurman Homes is an excellent choice.

Residential construction inspector here. I don't normally leave reviews but I read the Thurman Homes response to my client's inspection report and was impressed. As an inspector who cares very much about his clients, I follow up to see how the builders receive the report. In this case, Thurman Homes responded in writing to each item on the report stating that most of them will be repaired. I prefer to judge a builder's quality not on the items needing repair but how the builder responds to those items and Thurman cares enough to not only make most of the repairs but explain that IN WRITING to the client. It's a level of customer service that I see less and less of these days. Well done, TH.

I have talked to Mike the owner several times now and had so many questions about Whisper Valley and Thurman homes. He has answered every one from how does Geo Thermal work on a home to what makes his homes different from the others in the community. I have learned so much. I also think it is amazing how many cool amenities are going to be a part of the community. My wife and I are very happy with Thurman Homes. I can't say enough about the experience of working directly with the builder vs. a sales agent. Defiantly stop buy and get the builders eye view of the home your thinking about. It really makes a difference.

I was looking for something seasonal and Manor Home Depot was the only store that had a large quantity. The store is well laid out and the staff friendly and happy.
