I recently canceled my service with Cleaning Authority of Arlington after a year of declining quality. The first few months were great, but the service deteriorated rapidly. I repeatedly complained as things got worse each month, but none of my concerns were adequately addressed. Despite the regular emails outlining what to expect in the upcoming cleaning rotation, it became clear that these expectations were never going to be met. During the last cleaning, neither one of the bedrooms nor one of the bathrooms upstairs was touched, and the crew spent only 1.5 hours cleaning a 3800 sqft home. This was unacceptable. After addressing these issues multiple times without any resolution, I had no choice but to cancel my service.

A little background - a couple of years ago we needed to have an extremely dirty house in San Antonio cleaned – The company we hired sent a crew that that had one person who spoke English and could translate for us and the crew, each person went to different areas, and when they were finished, the transformation was unbelievable. The house sparkled. It was a positive experience all around.
We needed to get our house cleaned and spruced up for company. I got bids from a couple of companies by sending them the list of what we wanted to have done and selected The Cleaning Authority, expecting the same quality of work. We wanted the bathrooms, the master bedroom, a guest room (which just needed dusting as it had been painted and carpeted recently), and the public spaces downstairs in the house cleaned. They did not have to do the windows, sills, blinds or the wood floor on the main floor. I emphasized that the kitchen was really important. I acknowledged that if the work wasn’t done in four hours we could negotiate for more time.
What we got: two women who did not communicate in English, who wasted probably 45 minutes of time in the already cleaned guest room, didn’t clean any room thoroughly (not even trying to clean the tubs or floors) before going to the next room, didn’t even work on the kitchen until the last, and walked out without even trying to find me or my husband to see if we wanted them to go over the time limit to finish the job. I just happened to look out the window to see them packing up their equipment and went out to get them to finish the kitchen. When I called the next day to complain, the person I talked to wanted to come out to see what I was talking about, asked if I had taken any pictures, and offered to have someone else come out to clean. I replied that since we had company coming the NEXT week, we were already doing the cleaning not done, didn’t have time to take pictures, and certainly didn’t want her or anyone from the company to come to our house ever again. I strongly urge anyone looking for a cleaning company not to even consider this one. If someone does choose them, be sure to take pictures, have a translator available, accept a price for the job and not by the hour, and watch them like a hawk to see that they are actually working and really cleaning.

TCA team professionally cleans our church once a month (to give our volunteers a weekend off). They always do a great job! The employees are always so friendly and easy to work with! I would highly recommend their services!

I have never before used Cleaning Authority. I thought Elizabeth and Aida moved too slowly, despite their excellent attitudes and diligence and methodical approach. I decided to hire this company after reading the reviews. I hired this company to clean all of the doors in the house and four bathrooms in two hours. To be quite honest, I was let down by their failure to finish the job for which I had hired this company.
When the allotted time expired, they were in the midst of the two downstairs bathrooms. I was called by the business manager to inform me that I would need to pay for additional time in order for them to complete the task. She claimed that they had exceeded the allotted time by thirty minutes after we debated this point. I would therefore have to pay for that additional time, and an additional $139.00 would be required if I wanted them to complete cleaning the two bathrooms. She made a concession, cutting that hour down to $51.00. However, the work for which I engaged the company was not finished. None of the doors downstairs had any work done to them. However, they completed the second floor's doors.
Naturally, the total cost of the four bathrooms (two small ones) and the six doors on the second floor came to $351.00.

Even though I knew this business was charged by the hours, the job was not completed as stipulated!!
Had I opted to have my first-floor doors cleaned, the total cost would have been nearly $500.00. That is illogical.
I really should have known better than to use an hourly cleaning crew. Everything hinges on how fast or slowly the staff members work. It was dishonest! exploiting the customer.

You never make compromises that you can not fulfill!

The Cleaning Authority has been cleaning my home for over five years. Aside from a consistently great job, the thing I like best is the same team has been assigned from the beginning. This team knows my home and exactly what to do each visit producing excellent results every time.

We've used Cleaning Authority for several years and they consistently do a good job. Their rates have continued to go up and they are more expensive than other options, but their reliability and quality is excellent.
