John and his crew are responsive, hardworking and have reasonable prices. John takes care of your lawn above and beyond what I've seen from most lawn companies in the area that just mow and go. Highly recommend for yard/lawn maintenance and service needs.

Very creative and Beautiful work. I recommend Edgar and Regina to all my neighbors that asks about my yard. If you need patios, fire pit, any rock work they are the ones to call.

I have worked with John for about a year and up until recently he did good work and was reasonable. I never write reviews and I cannot in good conscience not write a review and have what has happened to me happen to someone else. I ordered sod from John and I was told I had to prepay for the sod. I paid for the sod and for a month John then gave me the run around as to why he wasn’t installing the sod (sick wife, sick son, rain, sod farm issues, weeds, busy). I asked for a refund for the sod because he clearly wasn’t taking care of it and I was tired of nagging about it/being met with excuses. He agreed to refund me and said he would do it immediately. He has yet to refund me almost $2000 and he has given me many reasons why he hasn’t sent me my refund (doesn’t have the money to refund me, blaming the sod farm and blaming his sick wife). At this point, he’s stolen money from me. He did not deliver the goods or services that were paid for. When he cut my yard last, he killed our sod by cutting it too short, missed sections of our yard and left mounds of grass clippings. He offered to refund me the grass cutting I paid and he’s yet to refund me for that. He claims to be a stand up guy, this recent experience has proven otherwise. He has stolen money from me and has damaged my property. I attached the images from his recent mowing.

BE VERY CAUTIOUS when dealing with Southern Lawns & Landscaping. Our experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Southern Lawns (specifically John) accepted our money and never delivered the promised service. Instead, John gave my wife and I repeated excuses and constantly changed service dates.

Despite numerous verbal confirmations and text messages requesting a refund, John continued to delay and make excuses. The only way we were able to recover our money was by disputing the charge with our credit card company and providing them with documentation of our attempts to resolve the issue.

After reading other reviews, it appears at least two other customers have experienced the same behavior which suggests a troubling pattern rather than an isolated incident. Southern Lawns & Landscaping is NOT A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I strongly recommend you avoid this company.

Regina and Edgar are a phenomenal pair of committed owners in the landscaping business. I have never seen such a responsive, caring and communicative business owner as Regina. Edgar is extremely skilled, and knows all facets of the landscaping (and more) business. We have consulted with and relied upon them multiple times for lawn care items that are complex, specialized and/or routine. They addressed them all with the same high level of care. Their prices are extremely competitive. We highly recommend this hard-working and trustworthy team to address all your lawn care, design and landscaping needs.

I’ve had favorable experiences doing business with Regina and Edgar, both for installing grass in my own yard and with larger landscaping improvements for the community HOA (adding trees, lights, and flower beds). They communicate well to schedule the appointments and follow up multiple times after the work is complete. Their pricing is competitive and offer reasonable guarantees. Aside from their service, they are detailed in their work and complete the job quickly. I would recommend them to others and will be using them for future landscaping needs.

I hired this company to replace part of a fence that had blown down during Hurricane Beryl. I was away on business, so most of my interaction was over the phone. I had a previous estimate from another company for 64 feet of fence and gave instructions to Southern Landscaping to match it. They “measured” an additional 20 feet of fence, but because I wasn’t there to verify their measurements, I assumed they knew what they were doing. I was wrong. Shame on me for getting fooled into thinking they wouldn’t over measure to give themselves more business than what I had asked for.

After a few conversations, they admit they built more fence than what I asked for, but still wouldn’t refund me any portion of payment. I would not use this company in the future.

Can always depend on Edgar, to complete the job with attention to detail and good value. He has done sod work, replaced sprinklers, mowing, planting, and drainage pipes for me.

Best of all, reliable. Edgar and crew show up when promised. Friendly, thorough, provides top grade materials, leaves the site clean and neat.

Edgar, Regina, and their crew were great to work with. They gave a quick, reasonable quote, and showed up on time every day. They said the job would take a whole week, and they actually finished early! They were very professional, friendly and easy to work with. The finished product consisted of a stone planter, a patio and a full yard sprinkler system. It all turned out better than expected. I would highly recommend them!

Southern Landscaping helped me get my lawn care together quickly and efficiently! I recently moved and had been putting off fixing the sprinkler system. When I contacted the team they responded immediately to my concern and sent a representative (Edgar) the same day to assess the pipes and sprinkler heads. The gentleman ended up with a midday shower due to a cracked pipe. The parts were ordered and repaired quickly and my system was up and running in a few days, no fuss no hassle! In addition, the shrubs in my backyard were overgrown and leaning over the fence and they were able to trim the shrubs. Edgar was friendly, prompt and professional!!!! Excellent work from the customer service interaction to the team that completed the project! I will continue to use their service and highly recommend to any body needing lawn assistance.

Edgar and his team were great! They not only were able to troubleshoot the problems with the sprinkler system, but they were able to find the problems, fix the problems and provide advice on how to prevent the issue from happening again.

Great communication with Regina and it was easy to schedule an appointment. I am absolutely impressed with their work and I highly recommend them if you have lawn irrigation needs!

They are so amazing! Such a great team and my yard looks picture perfect. They heard my concerns and they tackled them, not worried about getting their hands dirty. Also it wasn't a race for them!!! So many landscapers in my neighborhood look like they are competing to see who can cut those most yards. They took their time and worked in my yard and my flowerbeds like it was their own. Again they are nothing shy of amazing! If you want great work, choose Southern Landscaping. You won't have any regrets.

They were price very competitively, prompt on showing up for estimate and doing the job. Very friendly and easy to work with. Leveled our yard, redid the beds in our garden.
