Scott came to my home beforehand and explained the job step-by-step. On the day of the job, Travis and his team arrived on time and completed the job in one day. They were polite and professional. They cleaned up afterwards, leaving no trace of the job except our beautiful new roof.

GCSS Construction finished replacing our roof last Thursday. Travis was our contact with the company and he kept us informed as the job progress. From start to finish, Travis and his team performed outstanding work. My wife has flower beds all around our house. They worked hard to protect the beds and there was minimal damage done.

The crew not only did a great job on replacing the roof, they also did a good job in cleaning up when the job was finished and used magnets that picked up the nails that fell from the roof as the removed the old roof and nailed down the new shingles.

The new roof has increased the beauty of our home. Thanks to GCSS Construction and Travis for a job well done.

The company does other house remodeling jobs - Home additions, siding, gutters and painting.

I recommend this company and if I need home repairs in the future - I will call GCSS Construction.

Just recently had our roof done by Gulf Coast Storm Solutions and they did an amazing job. Scott and his crew were very professional and explained everything being done from beginning to the end. They stuck to their schedule and when they finished our roof was looking amazing. We have already gotten several compliments from several neighbors. We had our old bitumen roof replaced with a metal one by Gulf Coast Storm Solutions, and they did a fantastic job. Scott and his team were professional, efficient, and easy to work with. They also replaced a skylight and installed new gutters. Everything looks great and functions perfectly. The whole process was smooth, and we’re really happy with the result. Highly recommend!

We were sadly a victim of Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 and as we currently live overseas, I needed to entrust the services of a contractor who could be trusted to oversee the large reconstruction of our home in my absence. I interviewed several contractors and Tim Kirby (New Slate Properties) was the only contractor who took the time to sit with me, listen to my concerns, and walk through the house making suggestions for the rebuild. He then introduced me to his associate, who also walked through the house taking measurements and again making suggestions on how we could rebuild.

Fortunately, we did have flood insurance, but Tim did not try to inflate his bid as previous contractors had tried to, and we felt his was fair for the worked needed.

Both Tim and his associate took time to personally pick out various materials before any work even commenced. They explained the step by step process of the rebuild, introduced me to the project manager Daniel and various sub contractors who would be working on the house.

With me flying back and forth, Tim has kept me up to date with progress reports, photographs and always ready to answer any questions I may have.

Tim's attention to detail has been invaluable and so far they have made this difficult situation an easy process.

Fast forward to 2021 and Tim's invaluable service was required yet again when our pipes burst during the February freeze. As I was overseas I reached out to Tim, our rental tenants were dealing with a situatuon where 3 of the guest bedrooms could not be used.. Tim was there within 24 hours (Even waiting in long lines to find gas).. His swift action definately prevented furture damage to the house, as mole had started to grow on the walls
Tim and his team worked swiftly to repair the bedrooms and bathrooms so our tenants were not inconvenienced anymore than they had already. I will be forever grateful

Amazing team of workers..I have had members of their team work on my home a couple of times in the past couple years. Owner Mr. Kirby and his crew not only did a fantastic job with the remodeling, but they anticipated some damage that I didn't know was there. Found and fixed damaged shower pipes, and leaking pipes in wall. Removed old sheetrock and replaced with new, replace ceiling fans and light fixtures for me, and even put together some furniture. I would highly recommend New Slate Properties to anyone and everyone. Extremely professional company.

You want a contractor that listens, understands who you are, your likes and dislikes. One who will offers suggestions but knows you have the final say so. This is your company. All his staff were so polite and professional. We love our renovation. Tim Kirby will always have our business in any future home improvement projects!!!!

We purchased a home that required extensive remodeling and Tim Kirby managed it all for us. It included wall demolition, new windows and major electrical and lighting upgrades. He installed a central network room, and associated cabling, for four TV locations, sound system and an office.  Interior painting was extensive, and included cabinets throughout the house. Tim also managed the replacement and installation of a new wood floor for the entire house.

He worked with us during the entire process from inception and requirements review through the final job completion.  His direction and assistance to us during this time was invaluable.  Tim ensured that he understood our desired end results.  I highly recommend Tim and New Slate if you desire exceptional work with attention to detail.

Tim and every member of his team were respectful, friendly, and easy to deal with. I can’t say enough good things about New Slate Properties and Tim Kirby. We are nearing completion on my second project with New Slate Properties. We bought a 3000sq. ft. house that hadn’t been touched since 1992 and they came in and updated it in 10 short weeks, the last 4 weeks with us living in the house! They took the kitchen and master bath down to the studs and did flooring and paint throughout the house! It came out better than I expected. I hired WE KNOW A GUY SERVICES to fix my fence, and they did a fantastic job! The team was professional, efficient, and delivered high-quality work on time. They kept everything clean and even took care of a few minor issues they noticed without charging extra. Highly recommend them for any fence repairs!

Replacing my roof was stress free thanks to the excellent service and craftsmanship of the team at We Know A Guy. I had a civil engineer inspect my roof and he assured me my new roof was top notch. Rey and the entire team exceeded my expectations and I will definitely use We Know A Guy for future home projects.

I cannot recommend this company enough!! They were the fifth and final plumber I called. Our washing machine drain kept over flowing and backing up into the kitchen sink. All of the first four plumbers said I had a collapsed pipe under my house. The first plumber came out and said he didn't have a snake or a camera for a 2" pipe but was sure it had collapsed and quoted me $28k! The second plumber did the same but quoted us $15k. Third plumber ran a snake and said he pulled out mud and rust so the pipe was for sure collapsed and quoted us $25k. The fourth didn't look at anything but still quoted us $33k!!

I finally reached out to Nicci and Joe and asked if the "knew a guy" (that's the corny person I am 🤣). They sent out their plumber the very next day. He was at our house for hours working on the CLOG! No collapsed pipe, no mud, no rust!! It was a very bad clog. We washed clothes that night and the drain backed up again. Not only did the plumber give my husband his personal number for him to call but him and Rey were out here the very next morning. They worked all day and were able to completely clear the clog. Rey was very communicative and explained everything to my husband over the phone through the entire day.

No matter what our home needs we will always take the guy that this company knows. If you're looking for an honest caring company these are your people. We saved over $30k by going with them!
