Great Service. Kept my old A/C unit going for several years past expiration date. Even resurected my Compressor after it was submerged under flood water. Bought complete A/C system in '21. DID ALL WORK IN 1 DAY and did not leave a mess.

Fast and reliable service. They were coming out on Christmas Eve and helped us at a reasonable price.
Straight up front with the pricing and won’t try to sell you services or parts you don’t need.
They’re my go to tech for hvac systems now. -
Gary the owner checked my furnace .he took off panel and said he won't touch my unit.at that moment I knew he would not trouble shoot or repair a.c. .So he went to his truck and gave me the invoice for 50$ service call.he said repairs needed circuit board , contactor, plug , and blower cleaning. Quoted me 6,7 hundred dollars. I said fine .he said he don't have those parts .need to order he would call me when he gets them.next day he quotes me other price.1200$ .because those parts are not made anymore. It is a 2009 trane .the parts are standard at trane.l called a different a.c. tech .he came the same day I called him.he had my a.c. up and running in 20 minutes. Repair and service call 75$. God was watching over us. Payless A.C. tryed to take advantage of a family of 5.with no cool air 4 days and nights.he knew we were ready to pay what ever to get it fixed.to do this to a family in distress due to the storm was sad.don't have them fool you get a second opinion. They are like a storm price gouger .our gov. Of our great state of texas will not tolerate price gougers. Texans help Texans gary Edmonds. You should be ashamed of your self . by the way my unit dont have a circuit board your charging me for parts that don't go to my unit .shame on you gary

This company was hired by my landlords management company. They were told to inspect two AC units prior to me moving into the rented space at 100 E Nasa Parkway Suite 207/208. Upon me moving in their inspection found nothing wrong with the two units my rental space had above. I moved in and within 2 months, the units poured water from the horrible duct work above my rental space. 4 months after inspection by this company, and one unit completely stopped working. After the management company sent them back out, they found the coils were leaking and caused the condenser to fail. They wanted $3000 to repair the unit. I personally hired a reputable AC company and they inspected the units to find out they were almost 20 years old and in horrible condition. The coils were corroded so bad they could fail at any second. Also the duct work was so pieced together by duct tape they wondered how any AC company could pass these units for any inspection. It's my opinion that the management company uses Payless on a regular basis and that they are forced to pass the inspections to keep the contract with the management company. I was lied to about the condition of these units by Payless, and find that they, as well as the management company, are responsible for replacement as long as I'm a tenant. Due to the fraudulent report by Payless, I agreed to take responsibility for two units in horrible condition. As a business owner, I find their acts untrustworthy and they should be held accountable. I will be reporting them to every website possible and the BBB. Stay Away!

Wish more companies operated like Payless Cooling! The employees are knowledgable, polite, and arrive on time. They explain everything in laymen's terms and encourage questions. You really get the "family-owned " company business feel. They go above and beyond to make their customers satisfied. And their prices are quite reasonable. Thanks Guys!

There was a short power outage in our area 8/9/21, & it knocked out our AC & the thermostat control panel. We called at 5:30 on a Sunday & our call was answered by a human! The gentlemen helped us reset everything at the outside unit & reset the thermostat panel all over the phone. So very grateful for his service.

I called a different company first. When I told the other company that the home was vacant, they didn’t think it was high on their priority list. Three weeks later, I finally got fed up and called Payless. They came within 2 hours. It was a quick fix. Now I know to call them first.

I got several quotes for a full unit replacement and Payless gave me the best deal for an amazing unit. They were friendly and professional. Would recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a home in the Pearland area 2 years ago knowing it was going to need some work over time. This previous spring, our furnace for our downstairs heat stopped working (both furnaces are 21 years old). After some tinkering and not being able to find a manual, I called Payless Cooling and Heating based on many Nextdoor recommendations, and they did not disappoint. It was the day a new cold front was coming in and they were out to my home quickly. When they looked at the furnace and tried many different trouble shooting techniques, they let me know that the parts could be replaced, and also offered me a great deal on a new furnace that was not much more than the parts would be over time. I decided to get the new furnace and within a few hours, we had heat again! They were professional, thorough, efficient, and very polite. I am happy to now have a go-to for any future HVAC work my home will need!

Great father and son team. Super friendly. Very knowledgeable of TRANE central air systems. Was over $900 less than the quote I got from another competitor in the Houston/Pearland area. Will be using them in the future for any necessary repairs.

Called Gary the 2nd time as our a/c was not blowing cold air. The first time he came and after explaining the situation he was able to pinpoint the problem and my a/c was up and running in no time. This 2nd time another a/c problem and again, he found the problem in a short time and got my a/c fixed. Gary is a very nice person and really knows his job. I highly recommend him as his work is very professional.

Professional, responsive, prompt, respectful of property both inside and outside the home, reasonably priced. We have needed AC service twice in the last 6 months and both times Payless came through for us. Technicians are professional, experienced, knowledgeable, and do not try to upsell.

In the last few months, we have replaced both of our AC units (the old ones were 16 -17 years old). Payless installs high end quality Trane systems for a fair price. Our first unit was replaced in April and we saw a dramatic reduction in electricity usage and the house is so much more comfortable. We just replaced the upstairs unit and our upstairs is finally actually comfortable in the heat of summer. AND, the units are not running constantly to keep the house comfortable.
After researching for a while, we knew we wanted the Trane Two Stage units. Gary and his crew at Payless did an excellent job installing and were fair in price. -
Few days ago my AC unit was failing, and my house were getting hot. I called Payless Cooling & Heating and they were able to scheduled a visit the same day. They told me I was going to pay $70 for the inspection. Nick came in, he did an inspection and find out that capacitor was defecting and he went ahead and changed it right the way without telling me or quoting me the price in advance.
20 minute later I was presented with a bill of $310 that covered their travel to my destination, labor and material. I found out in google that the same type of AC capacitor he used run in the $30 ish.
I think the service was good, but very pricy. -
Looking for an honest AC & heating company? Payless is it. I've called on them for the past 5 years for biannual maintenance. They are efficient, professional, and reasonably priced...but mostly, they do honest work. Keep it up guys!

My AC broke at the house and I called Gary at Payless Cooling & Heating. They came out the same day to diagnose the issue. Come to find out the evaporator coil was bad with a leak. Gary gave me a couple of options to choose from to fix my AC problems, so I choose the one that best suited us. His team was very punctual and professional about what all was being replaced. It took a couple of hours to get our AC back up and running now the house is a lot cooler than before. Thank you Gary and you're team at Payless Cooling & Heating for all your hard work you definitely have a customer for life. God Bless you and your team.

Placed an emergency call to Payless on a Friday afternoon after a renovation mistake drained our refrigerant line. They had someone over within a few hours, fixed the hole, filled with coolant, and had us up and running with no problems. It would have been a very painful weekend without AC and they really helped us out of a tight spot.

I rented a commercial space that used Payless to replace my HVAC unit. They didn’t connect the heat at all. The first day it was cold, I had to pay another company to come out to connect it because Payless couldn’t come out. Then I was having issues with the unit shutting itself off & after calling Payless multiple times, they stopped responding or returning my phone calls. Turns out the unit didn’t have enough return for the square footage. Because they wouldn’t answer or return calls, I had to pay another company again to come out, diagnose the problem, then fix the problem. Using Payless ended up costing me personally about $1,000 to fix problems that should have never been an issue.
