I've used Payless for over 13 years, and as always they always answer and do whatever it takes take care of the customer. Our A/C went out, I called at 8:30 PM and they were there by 9:00 AM the next morning... There's not a lot of vendors that I have complete trust in , but Payless is certainly one of them. Use with confidence!!

After another service advised me that I would need two new units at a cost of $20,000, after only a 5 minute evaluation, I called Payless to come out the next day to evaluate my system. Without informing Payless that another service was out the prior day, the technician commence to checking out my issue. I only informed Payless that the upstairs unit was not cooling at a satisfactory level. This is the same information I provided to the service the day prior. The technician completed the evaluation and informed us that the downstairs was in good condition (no compressor out issue), and that the upstairs unit was also in good shape however was low on refrigerant by 3 pounds. The payment to Payless was $319.00. Payless also quoted us $5,600 per unit versus $10,000 quote per unit from the other company. The other company also charged $80 per unit for a total of $160 versus a flat $49 trip charge from Payless. The other company ( A Pro) is in a different class than Payless. Thanks Payless for providing good, honest service up our community.

I am so thankful to God that Mr. Gary and his team have repaired my AC today. Mr. Gary is a hard working gentleman with a wealth of knowledge. He is an expert on the Trane system. He is the first person who comes and checks my AC who actually knows what he is doing and knows how to work the system. He even helped me set up the Trane system with my wi-fi connection. Now I can access the system settings from my phone. He is honest, efficient, professional, cognizant, and patient with answering all my questions. He went above and beyond expectations. My parents have been customers for 18 years now, so I decided to give em a try. I recall my Mom telling me how honest these folks are. In one case, they could have upsold, taken advantage her, but instead replaced a capacitor for a $70 fix. In my case, the cooling stopped working in our new home (<2 yrs old). Even though it took a couple extra trips by their A/C techs to troubleshoot, replace part, test, and follow up, it was a single flat rate of $425. The owner Gary even called me afterwards to ensure the cooling issue was completely resolved.

Payless Cooling and Heating is simply the best! No work we have ever hired done on our property has ever gone as smoothly as this one. Gary, the owner, came out on Friday January 29th to bid on the job. We agreed on a new Trane unit. This was a complete new installation including new duck work. Gary bid on the job giving us a very reasonable estimate. Then on February 3rd, only 5 days later, Gary's crew of 5 guys came to install everything. The guys were very respectful of our home taking great care of our house and furnishings. We noticed how well the crew worked together, each one appeared to know exactly what to do and did it well. The entire job in our attic was very neat and professional. This job took most of the day and when the crew left the work sight was completely clean of any debris from their work. This company was a great choice for us! We are well pleased with the results.

These guys really care about their customers. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Gary is a very nice man and he goes above and beyond to keep his customers happy. He offers the best AC/HT services, and as a customer you'll receive regular reminders when it's time for your next service. 👍😊

I was shocked to see Gary and his team at Payless had any negative review on here. All too often great service goes unmentioned so I take fault for not leaving a review on here 4 years ago when I started using Payless Cooling & Heating. I moved into a house in Pearland and constantly noticed the AC struggling to keep up. The first time I called Gary out was because my AC shut down. Gary checked out my system and advised me my blower motor was out and when I asked him how much, he told me no charge because it was under warranty (and this was a manufacturers warranty, no warranty from Payless as I had never used them). Over the next couple of years, Gary made service visits to my house twice a year for a very great price. During this time, he advised me my unit was really too small for my house and needed to be replaced, and against my better judgment I kept pushing him to put quick fixes in place to keep it running. Needless to say, he complied and it was much more affordable to not replace my system. All this said I finally had him replace my AC unit and furnace last year. He recommended a larger Trane unit than I thought I would need and although this system cost me (what I consider a small fortune), it has been well worth it. Gary & his team have been out a couple of times to check on this unit and reconfigure air flow throughout my house (no charge). All this said, I trust Payless Cooling & Heating and will always use them. Great customer service and his team are all nice people and easy to work with. Most importantly, they are honest and don't take advantage of customers. A+ Service!

We've used Payless for years. They are reliable, the quality of work is excellent, they are profesionals. Gary, is the owner. He's an outstanding individual. who's honest, truthful, and expects the same from his employees. He just replaced our whole heating, cooling and air filtration system with top of the line Trane systems. They did an outstanding job. I suggest you give them a call.....

I have had Payless Cooling & Heating do work for me for a number of years and their last job was just today. Making the appointment was a breeze and they accommodated me the time I needed. I had to push the appointment to a few hours after the initial one and they accommodated that too. Ryan came and did the work in a timely manner and boy does he know his business.

A couple of weeks ago I called Payless for another reason and spoke to Donnie who was not only easy to speak to, but totally willing to help and very very knowledge, He is certainly an asset to the company and a pleasure to speak with.

I will hire Payless again.

I have been using Payless for several years now, the first time I called was after hours, they called right back and came out the next day. Been using them ever since and had them install a complete new ac/heat unit recently. Fair priced, great quality, friendly and courteous employees, always prompt, and very thorough. Thank you Payless for the fabulous service!

We purchased two new air conditioning units from Payless in late spring 2015. Gary walked us through the different tiers and let us know about different financing options. After we had the units installed, we had a problem with the drain pans starting to leak because our new units were so much more efficient at taking humidity out of the air than our previous units. Gary came over on his own time to clear out our drains and make sure the leaks stopped--at no charge. He was very responsive to all of our needs at the time of purchase and during the period after. His team has been great and very friendly and polite when providing our maintenance services. We love this company.

We have used Payless for many years now to both install and fix our air-conditioning. We have always been very happy with the high level of customer service that we have received. Most recently we had a wiring issue that they spent a wealth of time trying to correct. Instead of charging us an enormous amount of money to change out unnecessary parts that I would have never known weren't broken, they went the extra mile to find the right problem and fix it to save us the money. They have definitely earned us as customers for life. It would be a mistake for anyone not to get them to bid on your future projects. This is a family business that definitely deserves our support.

Our AC system went out late on Easter Sunday afternoon. I called Bruce, who answered right away and added us to the schedule for Monday morning. On Monday, Nick the tech, was on time. He did a good job of explaining and showing me the issues with our AC unit. We had a full new system installed the next day. The process was easy. Even Gary, the owner, stopped by to check on everything. Payless Cooling & Heating was timely, professional and easy to do business with. We highly recommend them.

I was very grateful to Nick, who came out to provide a $70 written estimate when my AC compressor failed on Friday. Nick was friendly, helpful and had very good advice. Payless was quick to schedule him, and he even came early, which is so helpful when the customer is suffering in the heat. Ultimately, I selected Dalton AC/Heating to do my complete AC/Heating replacement because their free written estimates used similar high-quality materials, they identified several additional issues (like frayed wiring) that were recommended for replacement, AND their total estimate was significantly under that which was quoted by Payless. I do want to say, however, that Payless did stand by their quote and even offered to reduce the price to match that of their competitor. I believe Payless to be genuine in their best interest for their customer, they just weren't right for me, at this time.

Gary and team came out on short notice as we had a heater die in late December. We chose to replace both of our entire hvac systems due to age. Gary fully explained his Trane line and benefits of each unit. We got four different quotes and Payless was the best overall. We even added the media filter to help with our air quality. Gary never tried to over "sell" us anything and the install was scheduled in 2 days! The team was very clean and professional with Gary checking in throughout. We have found ourselves a new AC and Heating company and will recommend them to everyone!

I have previously had homebuyers use Payless for a/c repairs and replacement and been very happy with their pricing and services. Payless saved the day when Weeks cancelled an appointment 1 hour into the 4 hour window scheduled. I reached out to Payless and they sent someone right over to provide an assessment of an A/C system for a homebuyer when we were on a tight timeframe. They informed us the unit may have warranty coverage, provided a clear explanation of repairs needed and costs and what we needed to provide to them to reduce the costs by using an existing warranty. Payless is the best AC contractor around hands down. I have always had issues with my previous system on a weekend or late during the week and Payless has always come out immediately and serviced my system. They are one of the few companies that actually answer their phones on weekends or late during the day. I also just recently decided to retire my 27 yr old Trane system. I got many, many quotes from different contractors and Gary was the ONLY one who didn’t try to upsell me something that I didn’t need but was honest on the things that I did need. Out of all of the bids, Gary’s pricing with amazing financing options beat everyone else hands down. His warranty is also untouched. His responsiveness and professionalism was amazing and his team installed my new system and ductwork beautifully. Very dependable and high quality business at an honest price. I am very happy that I chose Payless to install my new system and am happy to continue our professional relationship. I will be referring him to all of my friends and family. Honest and easy to work with and always on time. I really wanted to do a whole system upgrade with them, but they were a little slower in getting a quote returned so I had to choose the contractor that was able to provide pricing on the spot and begin work.

We were very happy with our experience with Payless! Nobody else could come out until at least 2 days. They came out in about 4 hours. JP was our tech and he was just so nice. He knew the problem in a few minutes and had our air conditioner working in no time. And like the name said, we believe we could not have paid less. Nobody wants to have their a/c fail but if it does, I know who I’m calling. I urge you to do the same.

This team, and especially the owner, are fantastic. Reasonable prices, good communication, and high quality work. Been their customer since about 2005. So many times we've had emergent issues arise while dealing with one of our babies being sick or whatever (perfect storm) and they helped same day. Plus, when one of us was laid off, we were able to use their financing program to make monthly payments on a full system replacement. Very grateful for their caring.
