VIctor came to my house the same day I called about service. He was polite and professional, and got the work done quickly. The price was fair. I would recommend Victor and Colvin Electronics to anyone needing lighting work done.

Initially my call was to just get an inspection of my electrical panel on the outside of my home in Lago Vista.
Instead I got an education in why certain parts of the electrical system are what they are.
My technician was very knowledgeable about his profession. Very kind very polite and answered all my questions politely.
His dispatch department sent me a polite reminder 24 hours of my appointment and then sent a biography on my technician himself.
His background in his profession, what he does in his personal life and this is a great company to deal with.
Once he was done doing the inspection of my electrical panel, he made suggestions upon my inquiries and took my credit card payment on the spot and emailed me my receipt.
I will definitely call them for any further future work I might like to do. I'd definitely ask for this technician again by name.

So Colvin elec is super awesome. Installed generator transfer switch and installed new outlets/switch for island pendant lights. Hayward did fantastic job (and David too :)) Was very detailed an just careful of all the install Was no mess afterwards and Hayward did a complete walkthru to demonstrate the generator hookup operation. This is like a 10 star company and definitely recommend and would use again

Yeah, residential customers, don't waste your time. I did today. I believed their website with their page of residential service offerings. I read their reviews and saw 3 of the more recent reviews complimenting them on residential service. I left messages to get service and thought I was done seeking an electric company. WRONG. They apparently shifted business focus and didn't have the courtesy to change their website. Baited me right into thinking I had someone getting scheduled to come out, or contact me, and all I got was a refusal. Hey, business owner, can you find the time in your day to update your website? Lady on the phone said you made this decision months ago and yet you've still got all the residential service offerings up on your residential page. "Big or Small, Colvin does it all" -- laugh. No, you don't. "Residential Circuit Restoration" -- laugh. Nope, you don't do that either, but both of those are on your website. But hey, it's just the residential people you're angering, and you don't do that work, so it won't hurt you anyway, yeah?

Hayward was able to quickly diagnose the issue with our patio fan not working properly and fixed it very quickly. Very professional and excellent communication. Will definitely go to Colvin for our future electrical needs!

bid for a simple interlock system for a generator was ridiculously priced. They were more interested is selling me a whole house surge protector and membership. Neither did I ask for. I am a contractor and install equipment all over the united states. I asked for a break out of the bid showing the price of parts and hours expected to perform the work. They could not show me that at all. It's a 2 hour job tops. I can't believe home owners fall for that gouging. Would not recommend

We woke up to learn all of the power to our office was completely out impacting our internet and wine fridge. Needless to say, we were eager to resolve the issue. I found Colvin Electric online and was lucky enough to get a same day appt (they had had a cancellation). First, I love that they text you when they’re en route and provide a picture and qualification summary of the technician assigned to you. Awesome feature.

Our first technician Hayward was timely, professional and honest. He checked all the outlets in the office and said the outlet behind the wine fridge was likely the culprit but he couldn’t access it as the fridge had been professionally installed. Our next appointment I timed to have the refrigerator repair man and the electrician there at the same time. That’s not easy to do with lengthy arrival windows but Michael Galvez (Haywards manager) could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Candidly, the fridge repairman was extremely difficult to work with and Michael went above and beyond to help me manage an unnecessarily taxing situation. Michael was friendly, extremely knowledgeable in his trade, patient, and determined to get the job done right - which is exactly what he did. I honestly could not have been more thankful for him as a person and electrician that day. Bottom line, you get what you pay for with this company and I’ll be calling them for any future electrical work we require. MANY thanks again to Michael, Hayward and the whole Colvin Electric team.

This was the BEST EXPERIENCE I've ever had with an electric company. They came in respectful and following all COVID-19 guidelines. Knowledge of the problem and the best way to solve the problem. Call them when you need electrical work done! Even Renee in the office made it a great experience to get you started off right. They fixed the problem and was done in no time.

Of the five electricians we had bidding on our job, Ivan seemed the most knowledgeable, courteous, honest, and friendly of all. Plus, he listened to me & provided 4 different estimates, contingent upon what options we wanted to go with. He was great.

Right from the start I knew I was dealing with professionals. This is business as it should be with mature, to the point, detailed workmanship. First, there was a type written bid that was neater and included more work than three other companies that wanted more money. Michael makes sure the customer is satisfied. I heard compliments from inspectors on the workmanship. I would definitely hire Colvin Electric again.

Pretty easy! I boarded my flight to NY this morning and by the time I landed I got a message that the work was done. I did not need to be there, nor did I have to explain anything. The new four outlet outdoor box looks great. They left everything better than it was when they arrived. Colvin is now on my list.

Colvin has been excellent in the past and this time is no different. Haywood, who has also been excellent in the past, installed an inlet for a generator and all of the needed changes to the main panel. Prompt and professional, they walked me through connecting the generator and walking through the steps to get my house up and running in the case of another snowpocalypse.

My electrician, Dave Elder, really knew what he was doing! I am glad I called Colvin electric, as they were able to rewire my electrical problem and explained to me what was going on every step of the way. In other words, I wasn't made to feel like a dummy or a chump. I also appreciate that they warranty their work; it shows me they are comfortable with the quality of the work they are performing. The price was higher than I wanted to pay, but the timeliness, professionalism, attention to detail and work quality were all there, which outweighed price.

Ivan Torres did a great job on our bathroom fan.. worked within the requirements that I specified, got the job done in a single visit, and cleaned up afterwards. Customer service was great to work with, as well. They helped me through the whole process and I highly recommend this company.

We had a bathroom exhaust fan replaced by Colvin Electric. The installer, Ivan Torres, did a great job. He was professional, thorough with explanations and very careful to clean up afterward. We will definitely use Colvin Electric again.

Fantastic service once again by Ivan Torres! Even with a couple of complications with our fixture, Ivan had a solution in seconds, and the installation was finished in no time! The customer service at all points was always right on the ball and kept us informed every step of the way, and they constantly check in to make sure every need has been met.

We are a small HOA that just installed new sub pumps and needed a company to run electric and connecting to a motor control panel on side of our building. We originally hired Salt and Light, they ran the power but refused to complete the job after the rain proved the panel was not communicating with the electric they ran. Salt and Light then went around the HOA to the management company and got payment athough we had not approved it and did not consider the job to be complete because the water wasn't pumping through control panel.

Calling Colvin was great, the tech Ivan gave us a upfront price for the work and spent a whole day fixing the panel and making everything work. It calmed the situation down and really was a great experience. I have already called them to do more work for another project. +++++++

After an aborted attempt by my wife and I to install a wifi-enabled light switch in our new garage apartment in the Brentwood neighborhood, we decided to enlist the assistance of an expert to accomplish this task for us. Turning to the Nextdoor app for electrician suggestions, it appeared that Colvin Electric had many satisfied customers, and we made an appointment with them late on Thursday, September 5 - the earliest that they could accommodate us was between 11:00 and 2:00 on Monday, September 9, which was acceptable to us. After scheduling the appointment, we promptly received a confirmation e-mail.

On Monday at 2:00, we received a call from Michael, an office person, informing us that our service technician, Hayward, was delayed by complications with another customer's job, and he would arrive at my house by 3:30. I was somewhat disappointed, but Michael was very polite and apologetic, and I assured him that a 3:30 arrival would be acceptable. I immediately received a text message from Colvin Electric that introduced the technician that would be arriving, including a photo and a short biography. A Google map was also embedded in the text, showing where the technician was currently in relation to my house.

Hayward Smart, the Colvin technician, pulled into my driveway just after 3:00, introduced himself, listened carefully to what my electric issues were, and gave me a quote for the work. The price seemed fair, and we chatted while he worked - Hayward was neat, clean, intelligent and an engaging professional, and he certainly seemed to know his business well. He explained every step of what he was doing during the switch installation, and then afterward assisted me with setting up the app on my iPhone that controls the light switch functions. Everything worked perfectly. Hayward also rewired another 3-way light switch that had been problematic, and fixed that as well.

We were mightily impressed with Colvin Electric, and I would not hesitate to recommend this fine company to anyone. I intend to use them for any future electrical matters - they have earned a permanent place in my Contacts app.
