As first time pool builders, we were overwhelmed with the plethora of pool companies out there. We’re so happy we went with The Blue Lagoons! They made the process easier to follow and guided us every step of the way. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone who is starting on their pool building journey!

My experience with Blue Lagoon’s was great. I was informed throughout the entire process from beginning to end. The customer service is outstanding. The also provide the landscaping after the pool is completed.

I’ve debated writing this…but after talking with other pool professionals I feel it necessary.
Late May of this year I reached out to this company for a one time clean, followed by weekly cleans. I chose them because in the near future we will need to do a full renovation of the pool. Our pool was in rough shape, and they were well aware of that. This was our first Summer ever with a pool.

They gave me the quote for the one time clean, I approved and they started work. They said we needed some replacement parts. I approved. A few of weeks go by and they had serviced it a few times but the pool was still very murky and NOT swimmable. At this point no one had been to service the pool in over a week. So, I called the office to check in and see if the “one time clean” was complete and if we were on a rotation for weekly cleans. They said they were working on getting us on a weekly schedule and to send pictures of the pool.

It took a few more visits before the pool was clear, but once it was you could clearly see algae on the sides of the pool. I let them do their thing, but mentioned it to the employee doing our services.

A couple more weeks go by and the algae is getting worse despite their weekly services.
June 26th they email me with the subject “SANITATION ISSUES” in all caps. They said that our dog swimming in the pool is resulting in them using “more than twice the chemicals” in our pool. We have one dog that swims maybe 1-3 times a week.

I emailed back and said that we will limit or eliminate the dog in the pool and to please advise on what we can do to treat the pool so that they won’t have to use as many chemicals.

I mention the growing algae in the pool and send pictures. Stating that this was an issue that has increased and doesn’t seem to be taken care of. I assumed that this was INCLUDED in the one time clean since our pool had NEVER been back to 100% clean after we paid for this service. I get NO RESPONSE after voicing my concern.

At this point, I talk to the maintenance employee again about the algae. He assures me that it should clear up “within a week or so”.

I stay patient. In the meantime I notice our Polaris isn’t running. At all. I turn it on and off myself to keep the pool clean. Maybe he just forgot to set it.

3 weeks go by, Algae has completely taken over our pool. Our Polaris isn’t running. I text our maintenance man about the Polaris. He says he will look at it on the next visit. He comes and goes. Polaris was never touched or tested.

I email again July 14th about the algae and the Polaris. They say it will be an additional $825 for the algae removal and that the Polaris was “running when he left”.

I had video evidence that the maintenance worker did not touch the Polaris and it was NOT running when he left. So I sent it to them. At this point I cancelled all services with them.

I NEVER got a response back from the company after cancelling services. But they sure made sure to bill me!

To top it off, our pool pump was leaking and burned up the motor because of the settings they had it set to. No mention of this problem to us! So now we have to purchase a new pump because of their negligence.

It still baffles me that they mentioned our dog swimming but not the COPIOUS amounts of algae in the pool or leaking pump. I’ll also note the pictures of our pool that they took were conveniently taken into the sun or at portions of the pool that didn’t have algae. I’ve attached pictures of what our pool really looked like when I decided to cancel services.

It appears people are pleased with their pool installation. But please know that they do not have the knowledge to service an existing pool.

We’re back to where we started and out a couple thousand thanks to this company.

There is SO much more, but if you have read this far I think you get the gist. I’d LOVE for someone from this company to respond seeing as their customer service solution is to just NOT respond.

I feel like they went the cheap way out with our “one time clean” and were banking on Algaecide and a prayer.

Building a pool isn’t easy, or cheap. People make the difference and we’re glad we chose Blue Lagoons.

Their communication was great throughout. The pool is high quality and we feel incredibly supported throughout build, and maintenance instructions. Would recommend.

Blue Lagoons Pools is the best contractor we’ve ever used on any home construction project we’ve completed! Will is an awesome designer and we were able to maximize our backyard to its greatest potential. The process was extremely thorough, professional and high end quality. We are forever grateful!

We had a great and easy process whole way through with Blue Lagoons. The first meeting with Leann, then Pete was easy enough. Then the design came soon after. Leann captured what I had in mind. I had a specific design with pavers. I honestly thought it'd be an act of congress to get it due to past experiences with a certain contractor. She tweaked the design right away.

The process was a godsend for us. We were dealing with numerous home issues, and Blue Lagoons made it painless, and I didn't have to grade their papers. The process of picking materials was painless and Leann helped with that too. They knew what they were doing. No bait and switch. And everything is fully functional! Their communication was excellent: gave us a heads-up, a schedule, and checked-in on us to make sure our expectations were being met. I didn't have to press them to finish anything or to provide better quality workmanship. (Trust me you have to with some people)! They meant what they said, did what they said, and made very happy customers.

Throughout the entire process the Blue Lagoon experience was excellent. Most importantly they were on time, informative, and helpful. I have no regrets and I looking forward to making many memories.

From a sales perspective Victor was professional, informative, and did not over promise anything. He told us from the beginning that the process would take 3 months and we were swimming at 3 months and 3days.

All in all simply a great experience and I highly recommend this company.

Our pool dreams were brought to life by Katie on the design team. She took every idea we had and perfected it. From there the great team at Blue Lagoons took the vision that Katie helped us form and built our dream backyard. So happy to have worked with them and to have such a relaxing environment just a few feet away.

The Blue Lagoons did a fantastic job on my pool. From the design process through the end of the build, they were very responsive. I really didn't need to even think about what was going on in the back yard. They kept me updated, moved quickly, and didn't make any mistakes along the way. Blue Lagoon has been servicing our pool weekly for the last year and has done an awesome job! They also did such a great job figuring out a leak we had in the pool. We originally had several pool companies come out to try to figure it out and they told us we needed to re plaster the whole pool! Blue Lagoon came out and did several extensive tests and figured out that there was a leak in a pipe beside the pool and fixed it. Very happy with the job they did. They always communicated well with us to let us know what was happening, the costs, and the time frame. Highly recommend them!

Had an excellent pool build experience with Blue Lagoons Pools and Spa. Quality of their work is outstanding and the pool and spa came out excellent y! The total build took a little longer than planned but that was because Mother Nature decided to keep raining at the start, but they did a nice job trying to catch up! Very happy with the end result!

Highly recommend. The Blue Lagoons team did a great job communicating throughout the project, their work is high quality and prices are very competitive (shopped multiple pool designer/builders). Their team places you on a text string at the start of the project so you have access to design, project management and the scheduling team without have to call multiple people (very efficient). They also do a great job scheduling each stage of the job and proactively communicate changes due to weather etc. So glad I chose Blue Lagoons and the finished product is fantastic!

Blue Lagoon delivered a work of art in my back yard. The Pool they created is absolutely beautiful. We had some communication issues with the landscape company, and I ended up having to pay out of my pocket to get it fixed, but Blue Lagoon compensated me for the issues.

Pete the owner really is a good guy and responsible business owner. He made sure I was happy and made corrections to the issues we had.

His team made sure that we were 100% happy with our pool and went above and beyond to get 5 stars from me. Salvador even showed me the best way to clean my filters and the tools needed for the job since I wanted to do it myself.
