I’ve debated writing this…but after talking with other pool professionals I feel it necessary. Late May of this year I reached out to this company for a one time clean, followed by weekly cleans. I chose them because in the near future we will need to do a full renovation of the pool. Our pool was in rough shape, and they were well aware of that. This was our first Summer ever with a pool. They gave me the quote for the one time clean, I approved and they started work. They said we needed some replacement parts. I approved. A few of weeks go by and they had serviced it a few times but the pool was still very murky and NOT swimmable. At this point no one had been to service the pool in over a week. So, I called the office to check in and see if the “one time clean” was complete and if we were on a rotation for weekly cleans. They said they were working on getting us on a weekly schedule and to send pictures of the pool. It took a few more visits before the pool was clear, but once it was you could clearly see algae on the sides of the pool. I let them do their thing, but mentioned it to the employee doing our services. A couple more weeks go by and the algae is getting worse despite their weekly services. June 26th they email me with the subject “SANITATION ISSUES” in all caps. They said that our dog swimming in the pool is resulting in them using “more than twice the chemicals” in our pool. We have one dog that swims maybe 1-3 times a week. I emailed back and said that we will limit or eliminate the dog in the pool and to please advise on what we can do to treat the pool so that they won’t have to use as many chemicals. I mention the growing algae in the pool and send pictures. Stating that this was an issue that has increased and doesn’t seem to be taken care of. I assumed that this was INCLUDED in the one time clean since our pool had NEVER been back to 100% clean after we paid for this service. I get NO RESPONSE after voicing my concern. At this point, I talk to the maintenance employee again about the algae. He assures me that it should clear up “within a week or so”. I stay patient. In the meantime I notice our Polaris isn’t running. At all. I turn it on and off myself to keep the pool clean. Maybe he just forgot to set it. 3 weeks go by, Algae has completely taken over our pool. Our Polaris isn’t running. I text our maintenance man about the Polaris. He says he will look at it on the next visit. He comes and goes. Polaris was never touched or tested. I email again July 14th about the algae and the Polaris. They say it will be an additional $825 for the algae removal and that the Polaris was “running when he left”. I had video evidence that the maintenance worker did not touch the Polaris and it was NOT running when he left. So I sent it to them. At this point I cancelled all services with them. I NEVER got a response back from the company after cancelling services. But they sure made sure to bill me! To top it off, our pool pump was leaking and burned up the motor because of the settings they had it set to. No mention of this problem to us! So now we have to purchase a new pump because of their negligence. It still baffles me that they mentioned our dog swimming but not the COPIOUS amounts of algae in the pool or leaking pump. I’ll also note the pictures of our pool that they took were conveniently taken into the sun or at portions of the pool that didn’t have algae. I’ve attached pictures of what our pool really looked like when I decided to cancel services. It appears people are pleased with their pool installation. But please know that they do not have the knowledge to service an existing pool. We’re back to where we started and out a couple thousand thanks to this company. There is SO much more, but if you have read this far I think you get the gist. I’d LOVE for someone from this company to respond seeing as their customer service solution is to just NOT respond. I feel like they went the cheap way out with our “one time clean” and were banking on Algaecide and a prayer.
