Had a clogged line which was causing lots of water in the drain pan. Mr. Cruz answered my call and made the appointment for that same evening. On a Saturday no less. They were really responsive and made quick work of the situation. Will be recommending your services! Thanks again.

Benjamin and Jose were incredible and very thorough. They came out to Integrated Lifestyles Inc in Dallas and were very efficient and took care of everything on our list. They helped out with a temporary thermostat while we order a fancier one for our showroom. They're very professional and knowledgeable.

2 stars for being fast to respond. But I can’t go beyond that. Up until the last service call I would have given 5 stars. I had used them before to add freon to my AC. I chose them because they were asking what I believed to be a reasonable price for 410a. Something like $50 per pound. I can get it myself for much less than $20 per pound, but am not a licensed technician. So I thought a markup of 2.5 times was reasonable for the service. Most of the other places I called were asking 8-10 times that amount. I was happy to find a fair deal. But fast forward a year, and I scheduled Cruz again to top off my freon. Same prompt response as before, but when it came time to pay the bill, I was presented with a shocking 8-10 times cost per pound. I asked why, and was told freon prices had risen 15-20%. Well, fair enough, and I would have happily paid it. But his price has risen over 250% in one year. I have the receipts. To be fair, I can’t really say Cruz is the only one now charging these outrageous mark-ups. Most seem to do it. I’ll be shopping around again.

My AC fan quit so I called them. They did arrive within an hour on a 100 degree day which I thought was a good sign. They diagnosed the problem as a seized fan motor within 5 minutes and said they had some options for replacement. They then handed me a bill for $95 for doing nothing but stepping onto my property and a quote for $695 for a factory motor replacement or $599 for a universal "rescue" motor replacement.

So for all of you who don't know about HVAC, a compressor fan motor costs about $150, and takes about 30 minutes to change if you have a 1st Grade level of electrical knowledge and a common socket wrench. I told them I would not pay that much and sent them away. This was a Friday at 430pm, and I was still able to find a new replacement motor and change it all before dinner and I only spent $170 (motor plus tax).

For all of you who think these guys are hard working and honest, I'm here to tell you NOPE. They are typical tradesmen who think they can take advantage of people simply because they have a specific license and typical home owners just don't know. Most people are in a dire situation when them call guys like these or and are willing to pay whatever just to have the issue resolved. Don't get me wrong, I understand that plumbers, electricians, HVAC, etc., take long times to get licensed and some of the things they do are quite complex and dangerous, but for God's sake, trying to charge me $550 in product markup and labor for a simple part and job that probably wouldn't take him 15 minutes is garbage. They literally tried to steal from my family, and take advantage of us in a time of need. For that I say "F - You" Mr. Cruz. You should pray that I'm not the only person around if you ever need help.

Our Heating was not working. Technician Cruz came .
We were quoted $269 for diagnosis, and adjustment (labor) which we agreed and paid. He did not replace any parts and heater started working .
However, while he had the furnace assembly open, he took out the existing capacitor to test. He recommended replacing the capacitor. At that stage, installing a new capacitor was just a matter of plug and play. To our surprise, Cruz asked additional $250 for a new capacitor which he mentioned he had in his truck. I knew additional $250 for a capacitor was an outrageous price, so I declined . Later, I checked the price of the capacitor. It is readily available in different local stores for approximately $15, same spec and made in USA.

I recently had a very unpleasant experience with Cruz Control Heating & Air. They charged me an outrageous $289 for a capacitor that costs around $30 in the market. This kind of price gouging is completely unacceptable.

If you're considering using their services, I strongly urge you to be very cautious. Before agreeing to any part replacements, check the prices online. These guys are nothing but rip-offs, preying on customers who trust them to provide fair and honest service.

Save yourself the headache and look for a more reputable company that won't take advantage of you.

We had one of our two condensers replaced by them in the summer of 2022. It was a great experience. When we had recent trouble with the other condenser, we called them thinking it would be another great experience. It was anything but! The technician took it upon himself to replace the capacitor without first presenting us with the diagnosis and giving us a cost breakdown. I really feel like he should have presented all that to us BEFORE doing the work and handing us a bill. Maybe that's not how things are done anymore? I just felt like $300 for 10 minutes of work, yikes! I looked up the part online, it was a $28 capacitor.  When I asked him if he could come down a bit on his price since that mark up seemed a bit extreme, we were a repeat customer and not to mention I was ALSO paying over $1000 for 6lbs of freon...he says $250 is the best I can do. Ok, fine, be a scoundrel lol We pay them and hope we are good to go. Within 2 days the unit is acting up again. I call them back out. They check everything, say the wiring was a little loose, we. All good now they say. A couple days go by, the unit isn't working again. By now, I don't trust them and feel taken advantage of. So we call out another company. They discover that the capacitor was installed so poorly that the wires melted. (They showed it to me and it's easy to see melted wires at the connection site). When I got in touch with Cruz to let them know that their work was such low quality it resulted in that and asked if we could get a partial refund of some kind, no response. He clearly doesn't care about his reputation, providing quality work or doing what is right. Please don't use this company. We got recommended Seth Funkhouser with Apollo HVAC by the staff at Locke HVAC supply, a HVAC supply store here in town. Use Seth, he was exactly the type of technician you hope shows up when something goes wrong. Competent. Fair pricing. Everything that Cruz Air is NOT. Avoid my experience, don't use them.

I had to get heating fixed urgently. Cruz took advantage of that fact and charged $325 for $100 thermostat. Could have charged me bit more than what he got the thermostat for, but charged me 3 times the original price. After all this, he also charged me SERVICE CALL FEE OF $125. Could have atleast waived that off but he had exploit in every way he can.
