We have been using Matthews Electric for all of our electrical needs for some years now. Our home is older and had very limited electrical outlets and breakers. Matthews Electric has helped us change our breaker box and add breakers to become compliant with current guidelines while meeting our current electrical needs. They have changed out ceiling fans and light fixtures, moved light fixture boxes, added outlets in the bathrooms, added exhaust fans etc. In addition, we have had them install outside landscape lighting on sensors to come on and off automatically, outlets on switch so we can control them and add outdoor outlets in the outdoor kitchen, the serving area for hot plates or crock pots etc. They have added outdoor lighting on the house and outlets by each door, outlets for the pool pump and lights. We have a business in the home where we have added several quad outlets on dedicated lines for all of the things needed in an office environment while maintaining safety. The work is all very high quality and they work till the job is completed. Our home is not disrupted for extended period of time which is very important to us. We also trust them as they show respect for our property, clean up after themselves, do not destroy our plants and do not take out excess material if there is any at the end of the job. We could not be more happy with their service. The pricing is fair for the quality of service and standard of work. I highly recommend Matthews Electric.

Tim has been out to our house multiple times for different electrical wiring, panel, and fixture upgrades that we have needed done. His experience and attention to detail is very evident in his quality and speed of work. I was amazed while watching him! It's very rare to have a professional of any trade that has the work ethic, politeness, quality and expertise like Tim. Tim is absolutely amazing, let me tell you.

I shopped around a few places but Tim was 1, available to come out and give me a quote same day and was able to squeeze me in for service just 2 days later (It wasn't a major outage so I didn't mind the wait).

So for context, I had 1 outside outlet that was out and 3 kitchen outlets out (due to a bad breaker that Tim identified). Tim didn't try to pressure me into anything and truly educated me on the issues (which no other electrician did). He was honest and fair with him pricing, which was the icing on the cake for me.

Come service day, Tim was punctual and quick! We've had no issues thus far with our outlets or breakers, and he guarantees his work, which is an incredible peace of mind.

I can safely say that like a good mechanic, Tim has earned a customer for life!

Thanks to Matthews Electric, we can rest easy knowing our home's electrical panel is safe and up to code! We had both the main and sub panels changed out and upgraded due to a Zinsco panel being in a house we purchased. Since we were replacing it all anyway, we opted to upgrade the service as well to ensure we have enough juice to supply all our needs. Timothy knew exactly what he was doing and the work was seamless. They also added GFCI outlets, put in a couple of cieling fans, grounded everything, and moved a dishwasher plug for us! From the moment we talked I could sense this was not his first rodeo and I felt reassured going with him to replace the panels which I was a bit nervous about. He knew the process and told us what to expect. The longest part was waiting on CPS to get their act together. Recommend Tim and Matthews Electric 100%!

Called Tim late on a Friday and he was able to get me scheduled for a service on Monday. He is very knowledgeable and quickly switched out a switch. He was very thorough and made sure that everything was put back the correct way. He did a great job. Would definitely use them for any future electrical needs.

In a place that seems to have hundreds of options to choose from, I called Mathews Electric on a Friday afternoon after I discovered a breaker tripped and wouldn’t reset. Tim Matthew's came to me as a referral from one of the large home stores here in San Antonio. He was very prompt in returning my message for a quote on having 3 ceiling fans installed. His quote was better than all others and stuck by it at the time of installing. He gave me an hour time frame when he would arrive and was prompt, friendly,courteous, respectful of my property and cleaned up after he was finished. All that and got the job done in a timly manner and with expert results . I will Most Certainly contact him again for future work I have been considering.

Tim did an amazing job for me. He pays attention to detail. He has a great personality. He is easy to understand and will explain what is being done. He evens installs fixtures that work with Alexa.

First things first, me and my wife only like using local people. We don't believe in paying the price of the name on top of the work. My wife had gone to multiple websites and filled out the initial questionnaire. Champion reached out first, and while the estimation fee was only $29 it was from a call center. We wanted local remember.

Tim then contacted us and gave his number, and advised that we could do everything over text if we so chose.
I reached out via text asking about availability on Saturday. We discussed meeting on Monday and set the appointment. Tim did a very good job of keeping me updated on his arrival times, by letting me know when he was 20 min out. Upon arrival I gave him the details of the issue and what "may have caused it". Tim then grabbed his gear and wanted to inspect the panel. It took a little bit to find out that the issue was actually at one of the plugs where wire disconnected. He was very quick in fixing the actual problem. He also recommended in changing the actual sockets as one was stuck and would not reset if we needed to and the other was an indoor switch (the actual one where it was fixed).
We set up for Tim to come back the same day and complete. Once again very quick work. Though the enclosure for the problem socket was not fitting right. Tim with no hesitation said that he would come back the next day and complete the job.

I would 100% recommend to anyone who needs and electrician. They are straight forward and tell it to you at face value. While I was skeptical about the Estimation fee, the overall price of the work was under my expectations.

Outstanding customer service and extensive knowledge of electrical systems. I called Matthews Electric for an outside outlet that wasn't working. Since I bought the house almost a year ago, I was made aware by my realtor that they were the last company to perform electrical maintenance here so I reached out for assistance. Tim was very responsive and went out of his way to fit me into his full schedule to come out to my home and assess the issues. He quickly reviewed and validated their previous work and troubleshot the problem to another issue. By my request, Tim told me exactly what I needed to do to fix it and it worked. As someone who was an aircraft electrician in the Air Force for 21 years, I definitely appreciate his expertise and guidance. I see why the previous owner here called him so much. I'll be doing the same!

Dock did a fantastic job. He installed a ceiling fan and mounted a tv in my home. He came in on time and he did above and beyond. I would recommend anyone that needed any electrical services to use them. Their quote is much better than others, and their customer service is superb. If I ever need any electrical services I would call them again

Just lost power to lights and plugs in half the house. New build from Lennar. The circuits weren't tripped though so we didn't know why they were down. He came in and found a plug within minutes that had a literal Tesla looking electric arc in the box. Fixed it up, and shared with us about why and how to make sure to get this prevented in the future to enable us to fix it also. Would recommend.
