Best landscape company. So happy with my final project. They built the most beautiful back patio and pergola. Super modern and clean. Will hire them again for my next project!

Fantastic people and work team.
Chris has transformed Saylee Greer into an outstanding company with an incredible staff. Nothing but good things to be said. -

Like the other complaints associated with this company, my experience was similar...they came out said they'd send me a proposal and never followed-up. I called, left messages, spoke to someone a couple of times and was told how busy they were but would get to me within the next few days. After a 3rd attempt and 6 weeks later, I gave up and figured it was probably for the best. Like most wise folks will tell you, if you have that much trouble with a company honoring their word before you pay them any significant amount, consider it a blessing or lesson -- shop elsewhere.
I only share this for those seeking to invest time and effort. Don't waste your time…too many others to choose from – And cross-check whomever you choose with the Better Business Bureau – don’t fall for some guy who says: “we don’t waste our money with the BBB, we only use social media / Facebook. -
My wife and I have used Saylee Geer (formally John's Landscaping) for 3 projects over the last 3 years. They do great work, do it on time and on budget. I have recommended Saylee Geer to a number of my neighbors and they happy with the results.
Thank You

This is a great company with great employees. They’re communicative, punctual, and professional. The quality of their work is outstanding. Thanks Robert Wright for all your help.

This is not your typical landscaping company. Chris is a designer and problem solver, as such I was glad to work with a company that won't take on any and every job for a quick buck. I went from a POS yard to one that all my neighbors stop and admire. Yes he is expensive, yes he is backlogged.... And yes there is a very good reason for it.

From Dec 2015 thru Apr 2018, I retained services of John’s Landscaping which morphed into Saylee Greer. I spent over $69,000 for a variety of projects ranging from installing flagstone patio and deck to extensive landscaping that included 20 red tip trees, 9 xylosma trees, and 2 red cypress trees. All went very well at first. Then there were constant problems that were substantially addressed. Finally, once the company had morphed into Saylee Greer, it was complete disaster. Chris failed to fully honor warranties on several red tips that died. Trees that had died in 2017, were to be replaced in 2018. In the interim, animals had eaten the roots of one of the trees. Chris therefore disavowed responsibility even though the tree had been acknowledged in 2017 to be dead BEFORE any animal had burrowed into roots. The best he’d do was to reduce replacement cost by a paltry $125. As for replacing 2 dead xylosmas, he planted tiny ones when I had paid premium price for large ones. Chris claimed none were to be had, but offered no adjustment for radical difference. As for the 2 red cypresses, they died and were replaced, but the replacements failed also died. They were watered as instructed. At first, Chris said they were insufficiently watered, and then he claimed they were over-watered. They broke irrigation system, triggering extraordinary water bills. In Mar 2017, I was billed $296.96 for 33,634 gallons and in Apr 2017 I was billed an additional $138.36 for 18,702 gallons. The last straw came when I had asked them in Mar 2018 to troubleshoot why a water feature was not efficiently retaining water level. This process dragged on for a couple of months. Finally, on May 21st, Chris assessed that a liner needed to be replaced. He said his new work was then being scheduled into Jul, but he would get this project scheduled and let paperwork catch up. On May 25th, I texted Chris to ask for repair date and status of estimate for my review. Chris responded that tentative repair date would be Jun 22nd and that cost proposal was pending receipt of liner cost and shipping info from manufacturer. On Jun 4th, I texted Chris for update on cost proposal and start date. Chris responded that manufacturer info had just been received and that I’d get the proposal ASAP, but ignored my question about the start date. On Jun 5th, I received a proposal with $1,500 charge for the liner. I could buy same quality liner in a quantity far in excess of what was needed for only $255 on Amazon. After getting run around on that, I was told that liner cost $1,500 because his supplier can only provide a 100-foot role. My project needed less than 10 feet. Chris then said I should buy liner myself and he’d charge me only for labor. When I received the new proposal, I asked the office on Jun 12th to confirm that work was still scheduled for Jun 22nd. Office said no date could be scheduled until I formally accepted the invoice, so it would be yet another month or so before work could begin on repair requested back in Mar. I asked office to have Chris call me. Not hearing from Chris, later that day I called him directly, left voicemail, and sent text asking for return call. He never responded. Three months later, on Sep 14th, I approached his company’s exhibit at the Home & Garden Show. I asked the worker to let Chris know that I’d like to hear from him. Turns out, the worker neglected to mention that Chris was in fact there; I saw him in a trailer that was part of the exhibit. So, I approached Chris. He denied getting my text. I then told him that his failure to follow up with me in any event was a statement of how he valued me as a customer. He then offered to “make things right.” On Sep 18th, I texted Chris and asked him to stop by my home sometime to discuss how he might “make things right,” as he had offered. No response. On Sep 27th, I texted him once again. No response. On Oct 3rd, I mailed a letter to his home with copies of all my texts asking him to return my call. No response. SHAMEFUL.

Fantastic design and great work. Because of an event I was having at my house I had a short completion time and they exceeded all my expectations. Thanks a lot!

Reschedule after reschedule, even canceled after a phone call saying he was on his way. But..
Be careful - the initial consultation is great and they'll tell you everything is going to be amazing. They spent an hour here discussing details and told me they would email me the bid in a week or two. Then the next day they sent a curt little email saying "we have decided that we will not be able to assist you with your project. "
I wouldnt bother wasting your time, unless your project is over a million dollars, they dont seem to want the work , and dont respect people's time. -
Our yard looks beautiful; even better than we imagined. The design and installation compliment the house and existing yard perfectly. Working with everyone at S-G was pleasant and stress free. What they proposed to do was done and they stuck to the proposed schedule. Very nice experience and beautiful installation.

Working with Saylee Greer has been a positive experience. Garfield Green has managed the project with professionalism. I feel confident to complete my next project with them.

I am the type of person who has high expectations and constantly asks questions. Chris and Cedar were more than happy to address all my concerns. A big plus is their ability to listen and provide straightforward answers. The work performed was just as described in the proposal. I am extremely happy with the final result. Many thanks to Saylee Greer.

Things I liked about working with them on my back yard remodel. 1. The ability to do much of the paper work online. 2. The in-person initial consult and follow ups. 3, The effort to understand what I wanted. 4. Pleasant and prompt responses when I had questions or concerns. 5. The efficiency of their workers. 6. How my yard and patio look currently.
Yes there were bumps along the way. Yes I'd like to have paid less. But neither of those things make my back yard look any less amazing so I'm super happy. -
We had our whole lot redone. We noticed the quality from the first steps. There was a lot of construction and the quality was outstanding. The crews are so professional and cleaned the site every day of the month long project. I can’t recommend this company enough.

We called on Chris to design lighting and landscaping for our home after meeting him at the Home & Garden show. He came up with innovative and creative recommendations. We were so pleased with his ideas that we decided to extend our patio and add an outside kitchen, with his design input, of course. His staff did an incredible job and were very professional and neat. We love our outside world!!

I was referred to Saylee Greer landscaping through a colleague of mine who had recently has work done and it came out beautiful. Cedar has exceptional customer service they were punctual went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my project was completed in a timely manner. I was working on with a short time frame and they assured me it would be done AND IT WAS with days to spare. I highly recommend this company what an outstanding job 😀

We had John's design and build our backyard from scratch when we moved into our new home a year and half ago, including sprinklers, free form patio, sod, trees and a gravel areas for a dog run and playset. Unfortunately some of our expensive trees did not survive and were replaced. When this happened again, Chris stepped right in to help us remedy the problem. Some less reputable companies would have easily left us on the hook, but not Chris and his company. He came to check them out in person, recommend a new solution that would work and replaced them with no hassle or cost. Nice to see a company really working hard to keep customers happy. Great design work and great people!

We loved working with the team at SayleeGreer. Christopher Greer and his team, lead by Scott Salgado, did a fabulous job. We love the design and are thrilled with the finished project. Total landscape design and installation, including a lot of hard scape, chopped stone boarders, boulder retaining walls, as well as irrigation installation.
