Maldonado's did a great job for us! They have a great group of professionals! The crew that came out were friendly and hard working! They really went above and beyond with making sure every thing was taken care before they left! I can't say enough good things. I do highly recommend them for any landscaping or irrigation! Thank you Christine , Josh and your great crew! We will definitely use Maldonado's in the future!

Update 9/23/2017. Several weeks ago we noticed that several of the flagstone steps (going down to our xeriscape) had come loose. I called Richard at Maldonado to ask for advice on re-cementing them back into place (I was planning on doing the job myself). Richard came out and looked at the loose flagstones. Jerry Maldonado then came out several days later and walked all the flagstone steps with Richard. They told us that they were going to totally re-do ALL the flagstone steps to ensure none of the flagstones would ever pop loose again. They completed the job this last week. They did a fabulous job. This dedication to stand behind all there work speaks volumes about the commitment of this company. They came back and did this job for us over four months after the original completion of our landscaping job. Maldonado is a great company and I would highly recommend them.

Maldonado did an outstanding job on our just finished landscaping project. Our backyard had a double slope (down & side to side - both slopes ~20 deg). Richard, our project supervisor was fantastic. Easy to work with and the crews really respected him. Poncho and team did an excellent job building three stunning rock retaining walls (up to 4 - 6' high). The various crews that came out were very professional & nice. Christina did the plant design which turned out great. We would highly recommend Maldonado. They made a design and stuck to it. They proved to us that they are the gold standard in the landscaping business in the San Antonio area

Recently we decided to create a firepit patio and extend our front walkway through the backyard and connect it to the existing patio. This allows our elderly family members to access the house w/out having to climb stairs. We received some good recommendations from our community on Maldonado Landscaping and decided to give them a try. One of the better decisions we could have made. From the project designer, project foreman and most especially the work crews, the company went over and beyond for us. So Daniel, Damian, Moises and Pancho, thank you VERY much for making all this happen. Give Maldonado Landscaping a call if you have a project you would like to see come to fruition.

We had reached to several landscaping companies. Maldonado Nursery and Landscaping immediately returned our call. The designer captured our concepts and they created a beautiful back yard. Everyone on the team was very professional. I highly recommend this company.

The design team, project manager and crew were all very professional, on time and highly communicative. They transformed my front yard from what looked like a vacant lot to a beautiful, low water/low maintenance landscaped yard filled with beautiful native and San Antonio friendly grasses, bushes and flowers. I will definitely use Maldonado again!

Maldonado Landscaping did an excellent job for us. We built a new home in the Havenwood neighborhood in New Braunfels, and needed a complete landscape job done. Maldonado provided a design, which included a visualization video, as well as a cost estimate. They worked with us to select potential draught and deer tolerant plants, select the rock, and the mulch. Once the design and the estimate were approved and a contract was completed, they scheduled a date to start work and actually showed up on the date they promised. Ours was a pretty big job because we live on 2 acres, and they showed up with 6-8 guys every day for two straight weeks. Daniel did a fantastic job with the design and the estimate, and the work crew was incredible! The who team was professional, conscientious, and created a wonderful customer experience. They are the best in the business as far as I am concerned!

It is NOT a nursery. Don't waste your gas or time driving here.

I am very pleased with my landscaping project performed by Maldonado Nursery and Landscaping. They are a very customer focused and professional organization. The design architect was very knowledgeable and he designed a landscape plan that turned out excellent. The installation work was done with great care and was of the highest quality. The installation team reliably began work early each morning and completed the work in a timely manner. The project execution was well planned and organized.

He took the time to come out to our home a couple of times to come up with a beautiful design and also met with us to select materials. New addition. Seems every driver for maldonado either doesnt care about safety and laws or doesnt understand them ans shouldn't be allowed to drive. This one changed lanes 5 times within 100 ft of oconnor rd intersection and did damage to 3 vehicles with his illegal lane changes then tries to take off when I call police

About 2 months ago a neighbor referred Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping to have work done at my home, they had used them in the past. I reached out to them and although it took a couple of tries to get them to call me back, we ultimately scheduled a time for someone to come out and give an estimate.

The person who came out was professional and helpful with ideas. He said he would get the estimate to me by the next week. He never replied. I got a hold of him and he said another week he’ll send the estimate, but never contacted me. He still hasn't responded to my last message.

I reached out to the office and they said their residential department would call me which has also not happened.

This seems to be a common review from other potential customers. My neighbor was happy with their work but I am less than impressed with my experience.

Daniel was fantastic taking substantial time in person, via Zoom, and throughout our project to ensure our intent was heard and executed in the design. His install team delivered a seamless install and were flexible with some last minute changes. A+ across the board and highly recommended. Not the cheapest but clearly the best.

We recently worked with Maldonado N&L to complete a significant landscaping project for our home, and from start to finish they did a phenomenal job. Before selecting Maldonado we met with 5+ landscapers, and what set them apart was the design and attention to detail that Daniel Firova brought to the table. He is an excellent design architect, but beyond this his ability to listen to what we wanted and willingness to work with us to bring it to life was excellent. He and the team were extremely responsive throughout the entire process and we are very happy with the outcome. Had high expectations coming into this project and they exceeded it. Would highly recommend them!

We attempted to hire Maldonado for a landscaping project at our home, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. Ultimately, we suspect they were short-staffed, and our residential job wasn’t large enough to take priority over their commercial clients. I wanted to share our experience for the benefit of other residential customers considering their services.

We first reached out to Maldonado in late April 2024 after purchasing a newly built home. Their initial response was prompt, and they quickly sent a designer to meet with us. The designer arrived on time, was professional, and offered some great ideas for our yard. However, that’s where the progress stalled.

The designer assured us he would have a rough plan by the following week, but it didn’t materialize. Several weeks passed before we finally received the rough draft, during which he cited computer issues and other commercial projects as the cause of the delay. This seemed understandable at the time, and we eventually met with the designer to review the draft. From there, we were supposed to receive a finalized design plan, but it never came.

Weeks passed, and by early July, we reached out to a supervisor at Maldonado for assistance in getting the project back on track. We even requested a new designer in hopes of speeding up the process. The supervisor assured us things would start moving but did not reassign our project.

The designer contacted us soon after, promising to deliver the final plan within a couple of days. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. After more waiting, we decided to move on and hire a different landscaping company, as we wanted the work completed before winter.

While working with our new landscapers, we mentioned the issues we had with Maldonado to one of their subcontractors. He suggested that, based on his experience, our project was likely deprioritized due to Maldonado’s focus on larger commercial properties.

In the end, we’re very happy with our new landscaping company and wish Maldonado no ill will. They were always polite and professional, aside from the significant delays on our job. However, if you’re a small property owner looking for landscaping services, be aware that you may face long wait times if your project isn’t a top priority for them.
