This morning Mr. Galvan and his awesome crew came to put this baby in the ground. It was amazing to see how well they work together as a team to get the job done. The tree itself is beautiful and arrived in excellent condition. I highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries for their vast selection of trees and exceptional customer service. Oh, one more thing: go buy their "moon juice." They swear it's like steroids for trees!

Great products and great service from Richard today. Highly recommend the Moon Royale and the soil conditioner. They have done wonders for my St. Augustine the past couple of years!

We were driving to Milberger when we discovered the new Moon Valley Nursery location! This place is incredible. They have the healthiest best looking plants and trees we’ve seen anywhere. Their system of working between their locations is so well organized that they can just about get you exactly what you want! We worked with Kyler and David who were awesome and both very knowledgeable and easy to work with! We were able to make some great selections and scheduled for them to come over to do the planting!! Super customer experience!

Very impressed with the quality and professionalism of this nursery. In particular, shoutout for Tony Flores and his crew, super hard working, efficient, and proficient at what they do. They're very responsive and provided me some valuable insight into things I should be keeping an eye on regarding the health of my trees. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this nursery while looking for trees. It has been the best experience we have ever had at a nursery, and we had gone to a few of them. The first thing that impressed me was that we were greeted by John as soon as we parked and he was super friendly and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the trees, soil of the area and planting. The quality of the trees is unmatched to anything we had seen elsewhere, and pricing was competitive.
I also appreciated that the price quoted was for tree, planting and warranty. There was no wishy-washy about price may change depending on what they run into at the site. They come next week to plant, and we are so excited. I will update review as process continues.

Galvan and his crew arrived on site earlier than expected. They took the time with us to determine the best place and position of the trees, and we're done planting before the time they were first supposed to arrive. Thanks to all of the Moon Valley Nursery team for giving us such a great experience!
I would recommend them to anyone and will definately use them again for any future planting needs.

Sean Washburn and crew were amazing at planting my crepe Myrtle tree. His crew so sons polite and kind. We were amazed at how quickly they planted, cleaned and completed the job. 5 star for sure! They educated me on how best to care not only for my tree that I purchased but other plants I had as well.

We came to Moon Valley to buy some trees and were blown away by the customer service they provide. Steven Schwope took care of us and was very friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable about every aspect of this nursery. You can tell he loves what he does. We will definitely be coming back for all of our plant and tree needs. Their plants and trees are beautiful and very well cared for.

Very happy with the experience from start to finish. Alina M. was wonderful on the front end helping with tree selection, figuring out financing and working out some details while I had to be out of town. Sean W. came with the team to do installation— they were efficient, professional and courteous. I feel like I got quality products and service!

We had a fantastic experience with Moon Valley Nursery! From start to finish Steven Schwope was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help us choose the right trees for our yard. He took the time to answer all our questions and made sure we understood how to care for our new trees after planting.

We are the proud owners of a beautiful Red Oak and Mexican Sycamore and the whole experience was top notch! From the moment we parked, we were given an overview of the layout and where everything was. Selecting our trees was informative and easy! Delivery and planting of the trees was better than any Amazon delivery you've waited for! The planting team was fast, efficient, very clean and professional! We look forward to watching our trees grow and excited to add them to our new home!

Just stopped by Moon Valley Nurseries and had an awesome experience with Robert. Seriously one of the nicest and most helpful guys I’ve met there. He made it super easy to figure out what trees would work best for my yard and didn’t try pressure me at all. Just a genuine good guy and easy to talk to!

Read the contract. Get a rider in writing.

Purchased a substantial Mediterranean fan palm (San Antonio). During delivery (Jul 9) my front step was chipped. After slow responses, action picked up only after I escalated through AmEx; a repair was attempted mid-August. The patch removed the trip edge but left a visible gray spot on a beige slab (photo attached)—mediocre at best. A district manager told me “MV isn’t contractually responsible for damages,” which matches the contract language.

I planned a larger follow-on purchase contingent on binding liability coverage (rider or COI with endorsements). On Sep 12, MV declined to provide binding documentation. No compensation was offered, no discount terms were delivered, and the step remains subpar. I’m not proceeding and have reopened a partial AmEx dispute to recover the reasonable cost to properly remediate the step.

Advice for buyers:
- Get a rider that overrides the “not responsible for damage” clause, with simple timelines.
- Ask for a COI naming you Additional Insured (Primary & Non-Contributory; Waiver of Subrogation).
- Do a pre-install site walk (route, spotter over hardscape, pre/post photos; price a crane if recommended).
- If a goodwill discount is offered, get it in writing.

The trees were strong and several local staff were professional. My issue is corporate: heavy on marketing; light on binding commitments.

Moon Valley Nurseries offers an impressive range of mature trees and delivers well on installation — particularly for large, centerpiece specimens. My experience so far has been mostly positive, though not without a few imbalances worth noting.

Pricing is high across the board — trees, shrubs, and fillers alike. Whether it’s worth it may depend on the scope of your project and expectations. The marketing is visually powerful but can at times set a higher bar than what’s consistently delivered. Some logistical follow-up and post-sale clarity could also benefit from more consistency.

That said, I’m exploring future landscape plans with Moon Valley in mind with the right alignment on goals, thoughtful consultative approach, timing, and proper execution.

I just purchased a couple Pride of Barbados plants. Jon Bostick was of great help. Friendly, knowledgable and great customer service. We'll be returning to get our Live Oak tree.

I have purchased trees and plants for my landscaping from Moon Valley Nurseries on two occasion. The trees were $1500 apiece, they were large and healthy. It really added to the ambience of my landscaping. I purchased three Mexican Sycamore‘s, two bald Cypress, and one weeping willow. All six trees were planted expertly by the installation crew. The gentlemen involved did an awesome job of removing the extra spoils. They allowed me to rotate the trees so that I could have them in the direction that I wanted them. Communication with installation was spot on.

Originally I wanted to give a five star review until a recent incident. One of the bald Cypress trees that I had was very stunted. It had been told on several occasions that if I had any issues with my trees to call up and set up an appointment to have somebody come out and look at it. I just happened to mention The issue with one of the trees on one of my trips out there to locate additional plants, and the salesman there informed me that a deep soil injection might help the tree so I had all six. Five of the trees were doing well on their own, but I thought why not give them the best. After the injection, the other five trees continued to do very well, but the one Bald Cyprus continued to flounder. I contaced The nursery and explain the situation. The person involved allowed me to explain the situation in great detail and assured me that somebody would reaching back out to me in the next few days. Several weeks went by and I heard nothing so I called again. I had a second conversation with the same gentleman and was again told that somebody would be reaching out to me. Several more weeks went by and again nothing happened so I texted the person that I had talked with on both occasions and informed them how unsatisfied I was. At this point I left review explaining my dissatisfaction with how things have been handled Up into this point. I was very happy to hear from a gentleman by the name of Nick Debs. Nick is an arborist with Moon Valley. He called me up and spoke to me a great length about my trees and set up an appointment to come out and see them. Within days, Nick was at my house. Inspected my trees and provided me with a very detailed year-round maintenance program for each species of tree. He also provided me with some products for free and assured me that in early March he would be able to look at the trees and discuss anything else that might need to be done. He also assured me that if anything did happen to the Bald Cypress that they will stand behind their product. Nick is a true asset to this company. He provided the type of customer service that in this day is Typically unheard of, But is the way all companies should respond to a situation. My initial two experiences and my last experience warrent a five star rating. I can’t hold an entire outfit responsible for one dropped ball, or in this case two dropped balls. I highly recommend using this establishment and if you have any issues, ask specifically for Nick Debs.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! @moonvalleynurseriesaustin. They will promise you the most amazing products and service and somehow deliver below the most basic level of standard. Garden design - no, service - no, communication- no, bare minimum response time - absolutely not! We have continuously attempted to communicate with them over a 6 week period of time and the only time we have been able to receive a response is when we drive the 22 miles to the nursery in the hopes of meeting with someone who could/would assist us. On our last visit we met with the GM to discuss dead or dying plants and plants incorrectly placed in the soil. Subsequent to our visit, we were ghosted by him as well. Apparently 5k in plants and services will only get you lip service. We have photos, text, emails and voicemails. Save yourself the time, effort and stress of dealing with these people.

I recently worked with Steven Schwope to select trees for my landscaping project, and his experience was exceptional. Steven is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain which species would thrive in our specific soil and climate. He didn’t just sell me trees; he provided a masterclass in arboriculture. If you want high-quality trees and expert advice that you can trust, Steven is the person to see. I feel confident in the long-term health of my new trees.

Sean Washburn and his crew did an excellent job installing my plants and trees. Professional, patient, gave us advice on how to keep the plants healthy and also gave us recommendations on how to distribute the ones we bought.
