I am very satisfied with the solar electricity and with the installation service done by Freedom Solar Power-San Antonio Company. I have no problems; the electricity works perfectly on sunny days as well as on cloudy days. I also got the federal tax credit for the clean energy effort; the Freedom Solar Power Company provided the federal tax filing instructions on what boxes to use and what data to fill in and I was able to file the taxes myself. I highly recommend the above company to any one who wants to help with climate change conditions, global warming and environmental concerns. Thank you.

I've had the solar panels for almost three years now and used the app almost daily to monitor my power usage to fine tune house hold appliances, ac, etc. But now they decided go lock that information behind a pay wall on the app and they want a ridiculous 10 dollars a month! If they kept the same information for free and added more features for a premium price, that's one thing. But to take away the features I already had and was part of their sales pitch?! Unacceptable... I will not pay you more money for features I already had. I would not recommend this solar company to anyone

We had an excellent experience overall with Freedom Solar and Renee Rose as our consultant. Renee did an awesome job explaining our finance options and comparing our energy consumption with and with out solar panels. She also cautioned us to be patient with the process. The design is quick, but permits do take longer than we had hoped (not their fault as they did all the work applying for them as well).
I highly recommend Renee and Freedom Solar.
Our system is up and running and carrying about 50-60% of our homes load this hot summer. Thanks Renee.

This is my 2nd time getting solar panels and I was still a bit skeptical, the Freedom Solar panel team (family), went above and beyond! Started with a phone call from Renee Rose our energy consultant, she listened to my concerns, and experience I had with the company before and really made me comfortable that I wouldn’t have the same issues, boy was she right, from all the paperwork to get through the HOA and GVEC, our electric company, to the installation, it all went perfect. Then Justin and Jamie for the walk through and power on, very friendly, knowledgeable amazing guys, I can call anytime and they are all still hands on, I feel like I am part of their family, they are only a phone call away! Truly, get in touch with Freedom Solar, you won’t be disappointed at all!

I've had the absolute best experience with Rene and Freedom Solar. I have a solar system from a company who went out of business, so when I wanted to add a battery backup to my system, I needed a company that would do quality work and not take my money and run. Found a neighbor who had nothing but good things to say about their experience from Freedom Solar, so here we are!! Got a Tesla Powerwall-3 installed by Jesse, who not only installs the product, but also owns one as well. Jesse walked me through using the App and the recommended settings for backup and use. Great team of folks all around. I can't recommend Rene and her team enough. 100% satisfied! Thank you Rene.

This is an awesome and very professional company from start to finish. I had considered other companies but went with Freedom Solar because of the professional, detailed and impressive presentation by Tony Contreras who is a great guy. In fact, I now consider him a friend. I also got the highest efficiency panels (22%) which is the highest in the industry and the only manufacture that makes them! I extremely happy with Freedom Solar. I highly recommend them!!!

I contracted Freedom Solar for my solar panel system and they were great. I recently built my house and had several headaches with contractors, but this was not the experience I had with Freedom. They showed up on time when they said they would, the installation took the amount of time they said it would, and I am producing my own electricity now. I had an issue with my property association delaying the project and the Freedom Team, including Shane and Torrin, went above and beyond what they were required to do to make the project come to completion. I really appreciate the hard work!

Man what an experience. I wouldn’t have gotten into 33k in debt if these features I was sold on switched to a monthly subscription. I had my panels installed back in October 2024. There was an app that had features like checking the health and performance of my panels. Fast forward present day they changed it to a monthly paid subscription. For the last 3ish days I’ve been getting the run around from Freedom Solar Customer Support and Dividend Finance. Both customer support suck and are terrible. I am someone who likes to do my due diligence, asks all the right questions, and just make sure I’m getting a good deal plus all the benefits with this kind of investment. Well now it’s a complete 180. They only respond in a timely manner and treat you well to get that sale, after that you’re done for.

I want to Say that Jose Ochoa, our Sales Rep is phenomenal, goes Above and Beyond to make sure we were Happy with our Investment and purchase of the solar panel system. He was Honest, Straight Forward, and answered all of our questions. Jose did not come across as one of those High Pressure Salesman, which I will not tolerate and have no problem telling them this meeting is over if it comes to that. He had great patience, did not come across like were wasting his time or ours, Jose has 5 Star Talent. We had a couple of issues that came up as we got closer to install day. I made my phone calls to him, told him about my issues. He told me he would get right on it and that He would call me back by a specific time, And he did. We are already getting asked about the panels and about the company from our neighbors and friends so we will be recommending Jose Ochoa to all of them. I hope all of Freedom Solar Reps are as informative, professional and as reliable as he is. It is because of Jose that we chose Freedom Solar. Thank you Jose!

This was by far the best experience I've had with a contractor. My energy consultant Nathan told me that the hardest part was deciding to go solar, and that once I'd made that decision, they'd handle the rest. I took that with a grain of salt, but they were absolutely correct. Going solar is a no brainer.. who to go with is more complicated, and I researched and interviewed eight companies. It came down to two, and I went with Freedom because they are local, built to last and I believed they'd provide the best all around service. I mean, if they can install for companies like Whole Foods and UT, and still work to earn my business.. I'll give it to them! We feel great about our choice. These people are a class act. Our energy consultant was informative, honest, and engaged throughout the process. Our site assessor Regan was a joy to have here and learn from. Our project manager Ryan kept us informed and up to date on the project, even emailing each day through three days of rain that set us back from the original install date. They were ready to roll the moment the rain cleared up though, and the installation took ONE DAY. I left for work and they were finishing up when I came back home at 4pm. Wow, and everything looks great. No corners cut, did everything RIGHT. People, the SunPower product is the best on the market, and if there's a better partner to sell, install, and service these things.. more power to them. I couldn't be happier than I am with SunPower by Freedom Solar! I know this Google thing makes it seem like my review is the first, but if you want to read the ones I read, check out their reviews for their Austin location. It's all the same company, they just have their design center in San Antonio, which is a great place to get a feel for exactly what's going on the roof. Go see them!

We have had a very pleasant experience working with Renee Rose as our consultant working with Freedom Solar. I give her 5-stars but communications with Freedom Solar I can only go 4-stars, or maybe less. We have the solar panels installed on our roof and Bandera Electric has given their final approval and completed their end of the work. Freedom has a website to view the status of our installation but it rarely seems to be up to date. A better solution would be to maintain timely updates and provide an explanation of the next step in the process with a best-guess date for completion. Overall, a nice experience.

Great experience! The installation went smooth, and Blake Penry was able to make the whole process easy, I barely saw any paperwork.

Their product is one of the best. And Blake is not your typical salesman. He sees it through.

As a home new home mower we always try to find opportunities to enhance our finances and our assets. There are tons of solar companies but there are also a lot of scams. I was related to Sunpower when I was in living in California so I wanted an affiliate that I could trust. When I contacted them I told them that I already knew all the benefits, rewards and to save the sales portion to go directly to the numbers. Shane understood and was able to explain it very clearly. We have to distinguish between Freedom Solar and GoodLeap. They work together but are not the same. Something that they can improve is the communication area. I had to call and email several times to get a status on the project. Jessica Zuniga was another agent that helped me to clarify doubts along the way and updates. Overall I am happy with my system and will consider them to future projects.

Matthew Hines was our technician, he was extremely knowledgeable, very well spoken, works efficiently, and in a timely manner. I’ll definitely recommend him.

Recently had my solar system designed and installed with Freedom Solar Power. I would 100% use them again. I was pretty solar naive in the beginning but they were very patient with me during the learning process. Across the board they were quick to respond to my calls and emails. I particularly appreciated Shane Hertig's expertise with solar systems and his help with the installation process. So glad I purchased this system. I would encourage anyone who is solar curious to call Shane. Act fast before the tax credit vanishes.
