they sent a guy out who said the issue was the sediment trap despite the gas flowing, asked if this would fix the problem with the furnance not working, they said they do not know, decided to get a 2nd opinion from Prioty AC who determined the issue was the motherboard whihc they replaced and the unit is working properly. Not sure these guys know what they are doing.

They were effective at diagnosing the problems and replacing a seized compressor. Very accommodating to my schedule and great to work with.

Let me just start out by saying that I just bought my 1st house just shy of 2 months ago and bought it in an area that I'm not too familiar with. With that being said, when the heat began to creep up on us at the beginning of June, I started to notice that my house was only 77-78 degrees even when set at 70. So I called the title company to get my home warranty information. Of course, my realtor did not opt for it. Just my luck.. Had a good friend come out and check the system out. Turns out the unit was 1 Ton too small, head pressure was too high at 9 in the morning and only 83 degrees outside. So my google searching began. 'Dickinson A/C company', called a couple companies, had 1 come and give me a quote (30% higher than Vargas), the other company didn't call me back until 4 days later, I contacted Vargas Development thru HomeAdvisor early Saturday morning and received a call from Sam within hours. I've always heard nightmares about contractor companies and told myself i was not going to tell them I already had a buddy come and diagnose my problem, I just wanted to see if someone was gonna be honest with me or if they were $$$ hungry. After probably 5-10 minutes on the phone with Sam, I could tell he ran a tight ship, he didn't need to come see what area i lived in to see if he could raise the price, he didn't ask about other companies quotes, he didn't ask for an address, just asked house sq.ft. and how many returns were in the house. He was able to get me a quote over the phone, urged me not to replace my entire duct system until after we installed a bigger more efficient unit because he didn't want me to spend unnecessary money. Not only do you get the standard 10 year MFG. warranty on your unit but VARGAS DOES A 10 YEAR LABOR WARRANTY TO SWEETEN THE DEAL, and like i previously stated, I got a call from Sam, mid-day Saturday, agreed to move forward, signed the agreement, the furnace, and evaporator coil were dropped off Monday afternoon, and his crew was there 7:30 am Tuesday with the condenser and remainder of the parts. They were done with work, cleaned up, and had my house cooling by 1:00 pm. 5.5 hours start to finish. Oh and no job Vargas Development or Xpress does, starts until an owner of the company is present and able to over see the project. If you're looking for a great all around home contractor, from A/C to sheetrock, to roofing, to remodeling, do yourself a favor and call these guys. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work and the level of communication from the OWNERS. Not representatives. Not technicians. Not a secretary. It's hard to find a family oriented, trustworthy, and reliable company that isn't out to get rich off every job. Takes the stress of future projects off your shoulders knowing when you're ready, you can call a reliable contractor.

My wife was sick with COVID when our AC went out and and the guys at Xpress were super fast to respond and take care of the issue. They were able to diagnose, find parts (travelled all the way to Austin!), and install a whole new system in just a couple of days. Can't say enough about how great my experience was!

We had a new HVAC unit installed three months ago by Xpress Heating and Air. Last week the condenser wouldn't turn on. Sam sent a technician and he determined the problem was the condenser disconnect switch was broken. Although the switch was not part of the the new unit installed, and therefore not part of the warranty, Sam didn't charge us for the service call and diagnosis. It's very rare to get such great customer service these days.

Have you ever came home from work walked in the house and ran right into a wall of heat... well that was horrible but it gets better. I am so grateful that I made the right phone call To Xpress Heating and Air spoke with Sam... Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the AC business... He not only knew what we needed but was able to give us options in making the purchase ... Oh but that's not all Sunday night I had no air, Monday talked to Sam on the phone Him and his father came over to look at the job cause my AC unit is about 8 ft up off the ground on a platform.
Well guess what Sam said no worries... Tuesday had my unit ...ready to install on Wednesday morning 1pm it was done. As for everyone spending money on a new A/C unit, much less two is pretty painful. I’m a 3 to 5 quote kinda guy. These quotes went all the way up to $29,000. These guys came in at $14,000.
I got TWO CARRIER 3 ton units installed with new furnaces, new supply and return plentums. Initially, I was a little worried because he came in so low, but they showed up with the equipment just a few days after the quote, installed everything in one day. My house has never been so cold. I’ve waited a good two weeks to make this post. Would highly recommend them to any and all that will listen.

I would like to express my gratitude to Sam for saving the day. I was in the process of acquiring a new property in Seabrook, TX, and I was in search of a quote from a roofing and HVAC company. I had arranged for numerous companies to inspect the property, but they would cancel at the last minute as a result of Hurricane Byrle and emerging emergencies. I was aware that my option was expiring, despite the fact that I had extended it twice. I contacted Xpress Heating and Air at the eleventh hour. Xpress Heating & Air provided me one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. At 70 years of age I've used just about everyone in town and these guys are really impressive. first of all, I never felt pressured and secondly, I dealt directly with the owners Sam and Jaime, who communicated everything so simply that I now I feel that I understand HVAC a lot more than I ever have. They provided me an incredible price and even gave a senior citizen discount and installed the my new unit and ducting the very next day! Talk about "Xpress" Service. I would highly recommend to all. If you're looking for honesty, integrity, an excellent price then look no further.

Sam with Xpress Heating was absolutely fantastic to work with—knowledgeable, reliable, and truly went above and beyond for us. I called them after 4 p.m. on a weekday, and they were able to come out for a service call that same day, which is incredibly rare in Galveston.

Sam worked really hard to track down the right AC units and mini splits for our situation—even calling over six suppliers and driving to North Houston to pick them up himself. He stayed late into the evening (like 11pm) to make sure everything was on track and even brought over a window unit to keep our tenants cool and comfortable while the main system was being fixed.

Sam also kept us updated every step of the way—explaining everything clearly and in plain terms, texting and calling with updates without us having to chase him down. That level of service is hard to find in this industry.

We had our AC go out on a hot Texas day and our warranty service company was gonna make us wait days until they could show up, so I called Xpress heating and air and spoke to the owner Craig who really came through for us! They came out the same day super fast, explained everything and went right to work.

These guys fixed not only the main issue but the underlying problems that were causing it! Amazing stuff and we are very thankful and impressed.

The prices were great, nothing unexpected or crazy and the guys worked on a weekend and into the night to fix everything same day! Top notch company and my future choice for any AC and construction needs!
