Constraction reviews in Spring, Texas

These guys are terrible. They remodeled by pool a year ago and I immediately had issue, not only while they were working on my pool but after. I had to correct obvious issues, like making the tile straight, but his staff was also using the restroom behind my shed, which smelled so bad I could barely breath when I walk outside. To having installing the bubble feature incorrectly and removing my pump switches completely where I could not and still cannot turn it off unless I shut down the entire pool. To water comes inside my house due to the slope of the tile, which they assured me they would install a drainage system to stop water coming in, and they never fixed it, also I have roughly 40 tiles plus that are already cracked, with a 5 yr. warranty they are not honoring. In addition they have posted pictures of my pool in which I have told them to take down since they put it up a year ago and they refuse. They will not respond to calls, text or emails. Do not hire these guys they are crooks.

Innovative did our backyard renovation and took it from a small space that was rarely used to an incredible hosting backyard! We went from just a covered back patio to an outdoor kitchen, fridge and fire pit with a sitting area and a putting green! We couldn’t be happier with our finished product !

If I could put 0 ⭐️ I would. Not sure what kind of work they do good or bad, but got to unpleasantly meet one of the guys. At 4:25 at fillup gas station in magnolia, one of these employees tried to intimidate me for not moving fast enough for his liking while he had just pulled up as I'm putting my toddler in her car seat but continued to try and intimidate me by honking and rolling his white Tacoma as close to me and my child as he could. And inch closer and this would have been a lawsuit. When your employees or self are driving around in a vehicle with your company logo on the side, how they interact/act in public reflects on your company/business.

Company is unable to stick to a schedule. I have a dog in order for them to do the back-yard, I need to know when they are coming.  Unfortunately, when they get a bigger job, they pool all the crews and don't bother to call or reschedule.  Then you are left trying to move your schedule around to accommodate them. They have ZERO respect for other peoples schedules.
I texted the owner who then used profanity and said they cannot promise when they'll come.  I guess the idea is that I simply wait at home all week in the hopes they'll show up.
I've since hired a different company and at half the price I was paying them.  Good riddance Innovative Landscapes.  Take your profanity and crappy attitude somewhere else.

Do not even think about calling Shawn at mirror lake unless you are ready to spend 100k on a small backyard pool and landscaping. They take your deposit and then provides a worthless plan. No names nothing you can use. He is belligerent and doesn't care what you want it's all about him. . As a new person to Texas he took advantage of my ignorance and I am 2 grand poorer with a pretty drawing to show for it. Rip off artist extraordinaire.

Was really looking forward to working with Shawn and his staff. We'd heard nothing but fantastic reviews from friends and the internet. However, at our design meeting we were told that a pool was not possible in a "small" backyard and Shawn just didn't want to put a pool in have have it look strange. "I have a reputation, and I just don't want to do something that is going to look bad." Instead Shawn decided that instead of a pool to beat the summer heat, what my boys needed was raised dirt mounds and an underground tunnel to play in. Seriously, we went to talk to him about a small pool in our yard and this was his "design idea" because a pool was not possible. My wife and i asked him many times what it would take to put in a pool and he never would give us an answer. We brought in examples of small pools that people had done and they looked amazing. Needless to say we're not hiring Mirror Lake and will not be recommending them to anyone who asks.

So less than a week later, Mirror Lake Designs responded to my bad review. Amazingly, their response has nothing to do with what actually took place. Mirror Lake took the time to write 8 paragraphs of a response containing nothing that actually took place. I'm glad they've been in business for 35 years, but unless you are will to give total control over to them, don't bother. My only regret now is, that we didn't tape the conversation. If it was possible to give 0 stars for a rating I would.

I went ahead and paid the design fee for my backyard from Shawn; it was the beat decision I could have made. Not only did Shawn take the time to listen to my likes and dislikes, he also figured out the plants that would survive in my perpetually damp soil. I am still blown away by the creativity and expertise of Mr. Kelly and can’t wait to work with him in the future. I would recommend him to anyone.

Mirror Lake Designs Review
We asked Mirror Lake Designs (MLD) to transform our backyard with a Water Garden. The results were amazing and well beyond our expectations. The entire backyard is beautifully designed and landscaped with a waterfall, boulders, perennial flower gardens,¬¬ lighting, travertine walkways and patio. Needless to say, we were extremely well pleased with the outcome.
The design process started with a precise survey and layout of the house and yard. Then the Landscape Designer created a plan for the placement of the gardens while at the same time meticulously selecting and placing the waterfall, water fountain, flowers, and plants on a drawing. We were given the drawings to approve before proceeding to the next step. In addition, we were given a video that presented a conceptual 3D rendering of the Landscape Plan so we could see the result before the construction began. This was also provided to the HOA for architectural approval.
The next step was construction, which was done with wheelbarrows and shovels. No mechanized equipment was used. It involved the movement of tons of boulders, rocks, sand, dirt, and irrigation equipment. From there, everything was all creatively hand built by artisans clearly in line with the Landscape Plan
The final step was preparing the flower beds with good dirt, mulch, irrigation, drainage, plants, flowers, and grass. Plant selection was well thought out and properly placed.
Here again, the results were amazing and well beyond our expectations. And now we get to wake up to see this amazing garden every day. We give Mirror Lake Designs the highest marks for professionalism, creativity, attention-to-detail, and construction.

Shawn has done a number of projects over the years for us and we are never dissatisfied with the end result. He has created an outdoor living space that is an oasis and we enjoy it every day.

Shawn has tremendous attention to detail and goes above and beyond to ensure the job is done to his exacting standards. If you are looking for an outdoor space you will enjoy for generations, give Mirror Lake a call.
