Robert and Swade stopped by and did a great job getting both my systems in good shape for the rest of Texas summer #2. Looking forward to future service calls performed by him and the team at Total Air AC Repair!!

Robert was awesome! He showed up on time, quickly figured out what was wrong, and had my AC running perfectly in no time. Super professional, friendly, and clearly knows his stuff. Couldn’t be happier with the service. Highly recommend if you need fast and reliable AC repair.

I've used Total Heat and Air exclusively on my rental properties and home for 15 years. I had rentals from Flower Mound to Garland and everything in between. When my renter in Dallas called for service due to no cooling, I was informed there was an extra charge, as we were not in the service area. This has never been the case before, so I spoke to the supervisor. Both the original contact on the phone and the supervisor basically said it's policy and I could use someone else for "Trane" service if needed. The quote to fix this was $4,000 which is astronomical for this unit.

When I received the write up of their evaluation, it says the unit is >10 years old. TH&A installed this unit and redid the duct work in March of 2018, not over 10 years ago. This and it being Ameristar and not Trane says they didn't even bother to review my accounts with them, even after I called to complain about the extra service area charge.

As always the technician was friendly, professional and polite. But Corporate, that is running the show, has lost the ability to perform the most basic of customer service for their existing customers. I will be using Milestone going forward.

Robert did an excellent job of repairing my AC / HVAC system & was kind enough to explain everything he was doing so I understood the process. That was a very professional complement of his abilities!! He is an excellent asset & ambassador to your company as he is very well spoken. I would welcome him back anytime to repair anything as he was very courteous, kind & knowledgeable!!

Louie called and let me know he was ahead of schedule. He was honest and did great work. I called and received service within hours. I’m highly satisfied with all aspects of service provided by Total Air. I recommend to all friends and neighbors.

Great experience today with same day appointment. Clear pricing. Robert was very thorough in his inspection, report of his finding, and repair of the system. Our A/C is back up and running. Will definitely call again for our next HVAC needs!

Total Air has been my go to service for HVAC and plumbing issues for the last several years. Their staff is friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate the value I get with the club membership. Robert, my most recent technician, did an amazing job diagnosing and then explaining the problem to me. I would highly recommend Robert and the entire Total Air team!!

Louis came out to do our 6 month maintenance on our air conditioners. He was very professional yet personable. He took the time to educate us and let us know what he was doing and why he was doing it. I highly recommend!

Robert was excellent, kind, and very thorough! We requested a tune-up for our heat and AC. Robert took pictures of EVERYTHING, showed them to me, and explained every aspect of how the system works and what I should be looking for as it functions throughout the year. We are very happy with Total Air and will continue to rely on them for all inspections, tune-ups, and maintenance related to our system.

Total Air & Plumbing once again saves the day! Our a/c wasn’t cooling overnight so I called Total Air at 7:30 am on a Saturday. They were able to get someone out to us within an hour of calling. Tom did an excellent job quickly locating the problem. He had it fixed and the a/c back up and running within an hour! I highly recommend Tom and the Total Air & Plumbing team!

Really like this company and their club membership for maintenance. Have used them for plumbing and HVAC multiple times. We had our heating checkup today done by Robert and he did a great job explaining and talking to us about our system. Overall I would saw if you live in the area you should consider giving These guys your business.

TL;DR
All I can tell you in this review is what I personally thought of the service I received, and how I felt I was treated. Honestly, I felt like the plumbers of treated Total Air AC Repair, Plumbing & Water Heater treated me like an ATM card. THAT'S how I felt.

I would never let a tech from Total Air AC Repair, Plumbing & Water Heater in my home ever again.

I am a VET, I gave this VET OWNED company a chance. I am disappointed is an understatement.

The Full Story:

My first visit from Total Air AC, was simple, my A/C unit just stopped working, Harold came and got it running. No problems, no issues.

Two weeks later my wife found a quarter inch of water in an overflow pan that wasn't there before. Was that caused by the first visit? I am not sure, but it was just two weeks later. Better safe than sorry.

So I called Total Air to come check out this VERY SMALL leak. I figured hey, the first visit was great, right? Yeah, not so much.

First, they sent an A/C repair man. He looked around and said, it's a plumbing problem, so they arranged plumbers to come to my home.

Two plumbers came to my home and the games began. I have never had so many different stories told to me, conflicting information and and explanations that made no sense.

At one time they looked around and told me they needed to get the A/C person to look at it. (you know, the same guy that said it was the plumber who had to solve the problem).

This is when I knew something wasn't right.

The next thing they did was to snake a pipe, which they did without asking me. Then, after doing this, they actually told me that WASN'T the issue causing the leak. I responded "wait, what?"

Then EXACTLY why did they do it? I asked that very question, and was told "well it needed to be done anyway". Really? Then they probably should of ASKED ME and TOLD ME THE PRICE so I could make the decision. But they didn't. They just did it.

$300 for doing work I didn't approve AND wasn't necessary. Good for the Plumbers and Total Air I guess, but bad for me.

After a few hours they decided it was some kind of "float" that needed to be replaced. It would be $500. I asked them are they SURE this is going to fix the leaking issue, they told me yes, so I said OK.

I had signed a 6 month "contract" with Total Air for normal maintenance because of the great service I had on my first interaction with them. The second interaction was SO BAD, there was no way I was letting ANYONE from that company in my home again.

I did file a complaint, explaining what happened, in detail, including the techs completing work without approval and I guess, that's just how they do business?

I find that unacceptable. Doing unneeded work and not fixing the issue I called about, is really bad business.

So I am editing this review but leaving my original so you can see, you just NEVER KNOW how a company will treat you AFTER they have your money. Now I know.

During an August thunderstorm we had a lightning strike reported on our road that resulted in a power surge. Within three hours, our house was over 90 degrees. Called Total Air and Technician Robert Taylor came out. He worked on our AC from around 6pm until 3am to get it up and running. The man, literally, would not give up. If our house was at 90, the attic must have been well over 110+ and he was up there for hours. Paperwork was easy and prices clear cut. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Total air is a honest and efficient company. Called them at 4 o clock on Saturday for my ac unit that wouldn’t stay on and by 5:30 pm they were there diagnosing and fixing the issue on my ac unit. 6:00 the issue was fixed and Swade did a check to make sure it was fixed and going to continue to work with no issues. Swade is a very nice, honest and professional technician and spotted the issue instantly!

After taking my
Money for years and I decided not to pay them to replace a 30 dollar part. This is the email I get. They are a joke. My system is over 20 years old and they didn’t install anything but clean my system and changed a capacitor and charged me a couple of hundred dollars. I grew up in this town and will be spreading the word on how these guys are not worth the call.see their email below.

We've had our AC and Plumbing serviced by Total Air for several years now and I have to say without a doubt that every tech we've had service our house did an amazing job and I do mean every single technician from past to present. From the AC to the Plumbing, the techs made sure that everything was working correctly and any work that needed done was done right. We recently had Harold service our AC and Brett service our water heater a week later, to which both techs were extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable and all around very nice guys to name a few (all the techs are). Total Air is an awesome company with awesome people, I couldn't recommend a better company to take care of us or anyone. I really couldn't be happier. We have been very pleased with the service we receive from Total Air and Plumbing.

I originally called Total Air for a simple annual AC check, but it turned out there were a couple of underlying issues that needed attention. The technician who came out was incredibly kind, professional, and great with my dogs—which I always appreciate! He took the time to walk me through everything, and showed me photos he had taken to explain what needed to be fixed. I never felt pressured—he gave me the option to proceed or take time to think about it. I really felt educated and informed throughout the entire process. In the end, I chose to move forward, and everything was fixed on the spot. Everything continues to run smoothly Highly recommend Total for their honesty, professionalism, and excellent service!

This company was responsive and professional. We have them come over right after the lockdown for Covid in March or April 2020. They came without reservation,they were socially distancing, but they did their job professionally and we couldn’t be more happy. One small glitch came up at the end of the installation which caused The system to not respond and of course they had already left for the day. However we were able to call, someone answered, and they were back in 30 minutes. It was the luck of a bad fuse, perhaps a $.20 fuse but they came back to our rescue, fixed a stupid fuse, cleaned up and left.
We will use them again and we do recommend them to other people in our area.
