My wife and I absolutely love the patio pool and garden oasis created by Mirror Lake Designs! Shawn and Belinda use the landscape as a canvas to create a work of art. We always enjoyed discussing the project with them, their ideas and suggestions, their personal touch and humor. We very much appreciate their attention to detail and passion for their work. Now we understand Shawn’s description of a pool as a water feature that that you are able to enter.

Each construction team worked diligently and professionally, showed up on time, were polite and friendly, kept the construction site tidy and took care to minimize and mitigate any disruption to the neighbors. Richard had these amazing teams so well-coordinated that they completed the entire project far ahead of schedule, despite these days of labor and material shortages, and they responded quickly to any requests even after the project was long completed.

This is the second time we have used Mirror Lake. Three years ago they created a beautiful garden for us — better than what we could have imagined — out of what had been just a rectangle of grass. Now Mirror Lake beautifully incorporated the pool and fountain which we can enjoy every day, whether or not we are actually swimming, and our hypertensive dog now finds herself dozing on the patio to the sound of flowing water.

Thanks again to Mirror Lake! We highly recommend them to anyone looking to create something extraordinary.

Mirror Lake was the best thing that happened to our Memorial Fountain project. They put so much effort into making sure it was exactly what the church wanted and needed, and were extremely responsive to any change we needed to make. They helped to create a space that fit into our campus like it has always been there and were very respectful of our financial capabilities.

We could not be more appreciative of the time and work they put in to create the beautiful space on our church campus. They certainly went above and beyond.

I had bad experience with unbelievable cost of 150k and it’s a steal. I rejected the deal and they were desperate to seal the deal. There are so many companies who can do wonderful job for one quarter of the quoted price. This company is been in the business but there were many complaints on low work with hefty price.

The prior owner sold the business to indian and it became worst with hefty price and cheap labor. Please don’t get cheated by this company and there are many good landscaping companies out there who do great job!

In the winter of 2023 we hired Mirror Lake to landscape our newly renovated house. The first proposal they showed us was $250,000 for just the backyard, which was laughable. We ended up spending around $100,000 for the front and back, which is a serious chunk of change. This did include a significant amount of hardscape, including low walls around beds and a new fire pit area. The designers were all very nice and easy to work with. HOWEVER, I will say that a fair number of plants did not make it. Some due to not enough sun or too much sun or who knows why. I had no intention of calling Mirror Lake about any of these, but replaced things as they died on my own. But when two very large and expensive holly trees in the front both died. I did call them. An arborist I had hired for an unrelated tree in the backyard took a look at the two obviously sick Hollie’s for me. He showed me how they had been planted too low, causing root rot and a slow demise. I called Mirror Lake and Richard agreed to come look. In the meantime I called my sprinkler guy out to go over all of the heads now that the landscaping had grown up a bit. He saw the now totally dead trees, took one look at them and said “those trees are planted too low”. Richard decided they were not planted too low and that it was past the 3 month guarantee. I pointed out that the root rot did occur during the first 3 months because THEY WERE PLANTED TOO LOW. The root ball was well below the grass level. You can see this in the photos of the dying trees. Nothing else around them was dead. It seemed so obvious. He offered to replant them for $2000. I declined of course. I hired the arborist to replant and you can see the difference in the photo. Just know if you hire this company that you are paying a ridiculous amount of money and once they have it they really are done with you

We hired Mirror Lake in 2024 to landscape our backyard after we installed a new pool. We told the company we wanted a maintenance free landscape that would provide some color and privacy from the neighboring houses. Like others have said, their bid was much higher than other bids we received, but we worked with them to reduce the budget and decided to go with them based on the pictures on their website and our hope that our backyard would look like their pictures. Everything looked great when first installed, but quickly began to deteriorate. About six months after installation several plants began to die. We reported the issue to Mirror Lake, and after several back and forth discussions they agreed to replace one of the dead plants. The other dying plants were ignored, and the one plant they did replace died within two months after it was replaced. In less than a year, more than half of the plants they installed have died and had to be removed. We think they died because they were the wrong plants for the location and environmental conditions were not conducive for them to survive. The irrigation system they installed does not cover the entirety of the plant beds and many of the irrigation heads are blocked by large plants that prevent plants at the back of the beds from receiving water. We brought this to their attention and the "adjusted" the heads to fix the issue. Given all the plants that died, I would say they did not fix the issue.

On the maintenance free part, we discovered after six months that the plants Mirror Lake planted all around our pool deck produce massive amounts of berries and dropped a copious amount of leaves. The worse part is the berries attract a large number of birds which eat the berries and then add their droppings all over our pool deck permanently staining the tiles. This was brought to the attention of Mirror Lake when first noticed and it was basically ignored and we were told they use the plants all the time and never had any other complaints. Had we known these plants produce the amount of berries they do, we would have never agreed to the design presented by Mirror Lake. We put trust in Mirror Lake that they knew what they were doing and would honor our wishes in the design they came up with.

In the end it was a mistake that we went with Mirror Lake for our landscaping needs and one that will cost us thousands to remedy their mistakes. We thought paying more for the landscaping would provide better results; Mirror Lake was double other bids we received. Buyer beware when hiring Mirror Lake and don't make the same mistake we did.
