The first time, we needed our main floor carpets cleaned, and the second was for a big mess caused by a toddler spilling cleaners and dish soap all over the carpet in our basement great room. It was a huge mess! We tried to vacuum up the water ourselves, but we just couldn’t get rid of all the soap and foam, no matter how hard we worked. We reached out, and Nolan arrived just three hours later with professional equipment, including a soap neutralizer and a powerful vacuum that removed all the water and soap from our carpets. After he finished, there was no soap left behind at all. Nolan was very detailed and thorough, and he was really friendly with our two kids, even making them laugh. We will definitely use this service again in the future because our experiences have always been reliable and positive.

Not sure where to begin. I contacted Steel Family Carpet Cleaners and was called back and given an estimate of $130 for 3 rooms plus stairs. The guy arrived today, the price immediately went up to $330. He said because he noticed pet stains with an ultra violet light, it would create a terrible odor if he cleaned the caperts without using the super special additional $200 worth of chemicals. I needed to get it done so I reluctantly agreed. Although he had a big machine he was able to bring to just outside my front door, apparently he needed water from my kitchen sink for the job. I thought that was strange. He filled a 5 gallon bucket of water from my kitchen, which I can only assume was all the water used on the job. The job included cleaning my stairs, and as he was packing up, I casually reached over and ran my fingers through the carpet on the stairs, and to my surprise came up with a handful of pet hair (picture attached). The guy (in a panic) started explaining that it was 'imposslbe' to remove pet hair from carpets. He then wanted to show me how dirty the water was from his machine (which he began dumping in my front yard). It wasn't 1/2 as dirty as jobs I have done myself with rental equipment half a dozen times. I didn't feel like arguing with the guy and wrote him a check for the $330 and sent him on his way. Also strange that he had me make the check out to a place called 'Mega Carpet Cleaners' or something to that effect, although the receipt he left me says 'greencarpet DFW,' and the place I inquired with was 'Steele Family Carpet Cleaners.' Some kind of complicated scam in my opinion. Please do youself a favor and find a better option, or do it yourself. You'll wish you had if you don't. (oh also... he even told me before he left, that it was not possible to remove the pet stains he exposed with his ultra violet light, that those are forever now intertwined with the carpet fibers. just have to lol)
