The company came by to apply fertilizer and weed prevention to our newly sodded lawn in the back yard. Whoever applied it did a horrible job of over application in some areas as well as spillage causing extensive chemical burns and killing off the sod. When called about this they attempted to tell us the grass was already dead when before application the lawn was thriving and very green. Two days later the lawn has severe streaks of dead patches and overall looks horrible. Instead of repairing the lawn or giving a discount they said they applied "organic" fertilizer to fix this problem "at no additional charge." Needless to say we cancelled their service.

John is an excellent project manager. Will post pictures when all done but outstanding customer service. Employees are courteous and clean up every day before they leave. Doing a great job.

We stumbled upon SLD after admiring a few yards in our neighborhood. We literally stopped at a random house to ask. After 3 years, we’ve completed a pool remodel, carport conversion, and landscaping. Stephen and his team have been outstanding with each phase of our project and paid attention to the trades and details every step of the way. It all starts with a vision and a design and they are exceptional on both, as well as the execution. Don’t make the mistake of skipping straight to low cost execution.

SLD has helped us with two of our homes. The first one was early in the beginning of their business. It was a more modest job with a smaller design concept and execution. Even though the job was small, the design was so nice that it made our yard the nicest in the neighborhood. When we sold, the yard was the reason we got asking price, which was over 40% more than we paid for the home. That just didn’t happen back then.
Moving forward to 2018, we found our dream home and we called on SLD once again and they knocked it out of the park. This time on a much larger scale. The job consisted of new plants, shrubs, bushes, trees, sidewalks, and even an actual cul-de-sac. They re-graded my over half acre yard, installed front and rear drainage, a 14 zone sprinkler system, and even cut in a beach entrance to my pond. SLD does amazing work and I couldn’t recommend them more.

My prayers were answered! Really impressed with Stewart Land Design team. His team helped fix the problem quickly. His professional knowledge is great but his personal experience from repairing and renovating his OWN house was what helped the most with my project. He found the problem quickly, responded to my call in 24 hours and the problem was fixed in no time flat. They care about the community and want the work to be done right the first time. I can't tell them thank you enough. You won't be disappointed!

I called Stewart Land Designs because our landscaping needed some rehab after the brutal heat this summer. Cathey promptly set up a meeting for a design consult with John Michael, who was knowledgeable and professional in working with us to achieve our goals within our timelines. The project was well-managed and headache-free, which is exactly the kind of service I was looking for.

I don't usually leave reviews -good or bad, but two years ago we moved into a new construction home that did not have any landscaping front or back. We had used Stephen and his team for a backyard landscaping project in a previous home and knew that we wanted to have him design the landscaping for our new home. The end result is a spectacular staycation destination. He and his team did not skip any detail from making sure our yard drains perfectly to making sure all the hardscape and landscape blends in naturally with the home and surrounding area. We love our one of a kind pool designed specifically for us. Our garden with the raised beds and garden house looks great and gets much use. Stephen was also able to incorporate items brought from the previous home that held many special memories into a custom final product. Our front yard is beautiful and we get many compliments from neighbors as they drive by.

We are repeat clients of Stewart Land Designs. Our current project involved landscaping changes and upgrading our drainage system. It was very much our pleasure working with John and Grant as they are both very professional. We highly recommend Stewart Land Designs.

Stewart did our entire backyard. Stone patio, arbor, large water fountain pot, redid all sprinklers, and drainage system. Their workmen were very skilled and the quality still shows years later. They are very responsive if something is needed. They have always done our grass/flowerbed maintenance.

They arrived on time and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. The finished product is a work of art. Stephen Stewart and his team did an incredible job transforming our property. Our home had almost no curb appeal. Now, thanks to them, it is one of the best looking yards in the neighborhood! They carefully chose plants according to my preference and communicated clearly throughout the entirety of the job. They went above and beyond my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone!

I had a small paver project around my pool (About 700 sq. Ft.) and contacted several companies to bid the job.
Stewart was not the least expensive, nor the highest, but I really liked what they were proposing.
After the work started there were a couple of unforeseen additions that I approved. Totally needed to be done and I agreed immediately to the extra work.
Their crew was very professional and really knew what they were doing.
They took great care of my surrounding property and left it very clean.
The end result was excellent!

We had a great experience working with Stephen, JR, Craig & Cathey. We signed on for a fertilization service (our neighbors who have had Stewart since Day 1 have the greenest lawn on the street), plus a spring refresh to both our front and back garden beds. Stephen worked with me to re-use plants where we could, while still making sure everything was healthy and within our budget. We trusted a few last minute changes due to existing plant root systems, and their expertise was clear because it came out great! I would happily recommend Stewart to anyone with a landscaping project.

I want to give a big shout out and 5 stars to Stewart Land Designs and Stewart Lawn and Garden. After my house was flooded by Hurricane Harvey my yard just would not recover. The landscaping was wrecked, the grass was almost completely dead and I was devastated. I have always taken great pride in my yard. I got their name from a friend of mine who had used them for a big project and they were 100% satisfied. John Stewart was the project manager who put my yard back in shape. They planted shrubs and plants that were conducive to our climate. They laid out 2 nice flowerbeds in the front yard and put a nice rock border around them. In the back yard they put in a nice stone and crushed granite walkway to help with standing water. They put in a nice flowerbed and also a bed with shrubs along my metal fence for some privacy. They planted my beds with good quality flowers and placed the ones that need sun in the right locations and placed some flowers that did not need direct sun in the appropriate areas. Mine was not a big project like most of their projects but they treated me like I had a million dollar project going on. From that day forward, I have used their lawn and garden business for all my lawn care needs with their 6 step lawn care treatment plan. Cathey who is their Office Manager/Accountant/receptionist etc. is so easy to work with. She does all the scheduling and billing and if I have ever had an issue she handles it quickly and effectively. I highly recommend both of these companies. They have great customer service, great and dependable employees and employees who are very knowledgeable in their expertise.
