Reviews of local pros in Universal City, Texas

Lee is outstanding, and took the time to show me several things about my lawn, and how to improve grass health. Thank you very much. He came recommended by my neighbor. Setting up an appointment was really easy and he arrived on time. Not only did he complete job as requested- the quality was superior beyond my expectations. Will use him for all my lawn services. Getting reliable and honest service from companies these days are very hard to do. Thank you, Mr. & Ms. Lee for your outstanding service. God is good and he’s good all the time.

Lee and the guys did an AMAZING JOB! We were having issues with our front yard flower bed, all of our mulch and dirt kept sliding down the hill. Lee came up with this great idea for a stair step style border and Lee found the EXACT stone that matches our house! It's been about a couple of weeks and we've had some heavy rain days and zero issues with the front yard. We've added some lovely plants and tons of herbs ourself.

As for our backyard, my husband and I built these rectangle garden boxes but had issues with grass coming up within them. (TONS of grass.) We had Lee rip out the dirt and redo our boxes with fabric liners and refilled them with wonderful quality dirt for growing veggies! I've added some photos of our pepper plants growing in one as well as the others getting ready for some beans, watermelons, squash, leafy greens, etc. Everything is flourishing well and we have zero grass or weeds popping through.

We will be highly recommending Lee's to our neighbors and friends as well as rehiring them again for our future projects.

Excellent work ethics. Very organized. Professional and completed the project on time. Quality work. No hesitation in promoting Jim Hall’s business to family, friends and acquaintances.

I have been using Down to Earth Landscaping for more than 10 years, doing many different types of work around my home,(spreading compost and much, redesigning beds and planting trees, replacing an extensive amount of wood fencing). Jim and his team have always been prompt, clean and efficient, while being very considerate of us and our pets. I highly recommend Down to Earth Landscaping.

Jim has always done a 5 star work for me. Prompt response and extremely professional interaction. I have no problem referring him to friends. Highly recommend him to anyone.

James and his crew did a GREAT job putting up a new fence! Would recommend his company to anyone looking for a new fence or yardwork of any kind. Thanks James for all your hard work!

I highly recommend Jim and Down to Earth Landscaping!!! Jim provides great service while being responsive, communicative and resourceful. He knows what he's doing and gets the job done in a timely manner.

Jim Hall and his crew have completed fencing and landscaping for me in the past. Last week they replaced garage trim and exterior framing, caulking, and painting. In addition the water sealed deck work they built a few weeks ago. All work as usual, was completed with perfection. Jim and his crew are hard workers with pleasant, respectful personalities. It is comforting to know that when I schedule him, the work will be completed to my satisfaction.

Don't miss an opportunity to have him take care of your projects! It is money well spent!

Just want to say Jim and his crew did an outstanding job in the sod installation.

Great work! Always punctual and completed the job on the time promised.

Jim designed a safe play area for my dogs that is functional and looks great. It has a very nice looking fence and gate. He also fenced around my AC unit to keep the dogs away from it. My dogs have their own dog park now! We will definitely have his team back to work on the rest of the yard.

Jim of Down To Earth was sent from heaven! We had hired the wrong guy for a $20,000 landscaping job that got botched. Jim came in and fixed the issue within the allotted timeframe and within budget. He didn’t nickel and dime us. We can’t thank him enough to saving the project. He has already been hired to do another landscaping job for us on a rental property we own. Hire Down To Earth with confidence! Six star rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've been a loyal customer for over 4 years. Jim and his crew have done complete yard makeovers and everything in between on our landscaping. Always reasonably priced, on time, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything looks good on completion. Finally, a Landscaper who shows up and does what they say they will.

Jim and his crew gave our yard a much needed make over. He transformed the dying rose bushes and shrubs into beautiful new front flower beds. He knew the best plants that were drought resistant yet still colorful. We are extremely pleased with his work and highly recommend.

After a further review I was told that the second valve was to be turned off after an inspection, but I was not told this . So, the system did not work after the inspection. Their office was very professional in handling this situation.
