I had a shower that was flooding onto the kitchen floor below when running. The plumber (Howard) showed up on time, but then went straight to the shower and turned it on. I asked him not to leave it on for longer than needed as it would flood the floor below, but he didn't seem to pay attention to that. He started speculating that it might be leaking through the shower handle cover (that I had removed a year ago and not re-caulked). He didn't seem to listen when I told him that the scale of the leak indicated that it wasn't just a little water seeping through the cracks in the cover. He lectured me about how he "had been doing this for 30 years". He didn't seem to realize that I had been living in this house for 30 years and had a better idea of the leak from actually having seen it, whereas he hadn't even seen it yet.

When he finally turned it off and we came back downstairs, half the kitchen floor was flooded. He then advised me to "get some towels". No response to my reminder of the request to not leave it on for long. Also informed me that he would have to cut a hole in the ceiling to diagnose the leak and that there would be a charge for that. At that point I had had enough and had no desire to engage his services.

The next day I had another plumbing company come in to take a look. Upon hearing my request they laid out a drop cloth right away and turned the shower on for just enough time to actually see the leak themselves and evaluate it. Yes, it meant they had to run up and down the stairs a couple of times, but they did what they needed to do. They also cut a hole (at no charge) and verified that there were no pipes leaking. In the end the leak was in the shower unit itself and they found it just by close observation. In other words, they were thoroughly attentive and professional, in contrast to the plumber from Benjamin Franklin who was anything but.

The Benjamin Franklin plumber may have been very knowledgeable about plumbing from his 30 years of experience but he didn't have the awareness to realize that it was also important to get the homeowner's input about the situation before evaluating the problem.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing solved a leaking pipe problem I attempted to fix on my own, but had got in over my head. They were quick to respond, and had us back up and running promptly. Howard is a true professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. I would definitely use them again.

Howard was always on time and quick to answer questions. The process from bid to completion was easy and priced fairly. We replaced two water tanks and fixed some connection issues. I was having problems with my furnace a day before Thanksgivings day. I was having family over for thanksgiving and was extremely worried about my furnace. David managed to find time to come in late the night before thanksgiving. He is extremely professional and did a wonderful job resolving the issue. I would highly recommend David and DSI HVAC.

Dave arrived right on time. He let us get in his schedule last minute. He was quite knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was happening with our AC unit. His price was very reasonable. I called Dave early Christmas Eve morning this year, to fix my furnace. He showed up 20 minutes later. Absolutely outstanding service. Dave was honest and nice and gave me a great deal on the repair I needed, especially considered it was Christmas Eve. John was able to come out same day and did a great job. He was able to diagnose the problem and get it fixed within 30 minutes. Very friendly and showed me exactly what and why he was going to do, very thorough. I highly recommend DSI to anyone in need of HVAC work.

David was a godsend. 2 days of over 100 degrees heat and no ac. David returned my call within 30 minutes. My AC didn't put out cold air and David came over at 8 pm and extended his work day to over 10 hours. A pleasure to deal with. Just like all the reviews on here, David was a true professional. Dave with DSI was extremely professional and considerate. My has utilities got shotdown due to a gas leak and other hazardous connections at my old place. I was pretty stressed out thinking of the cost and length of the repairs. Dave with DSI HVAC came in, evaluated the situation quickly and solve the problem in one day. Dave at DSI HVAC did an incredible job installing a new A/C unit! He came to my home on Wednesday, talked to me about the particular's of my setup and we made a plan for a new unit based on square footage, how many vents, and he even got into my attic to gauge the insulation. He educated me on the pro's and con's of the different units offered (energy efficiency, SEER rating, price, etc.). I made the decision and he was out on Friday (just two days later!) to install it.

I received multiple estimates and Dave came in at the lowest price, did a fantastic job installing, and provided the best customer service!
