Hired in April 2022 for landscape, concrete pouring, and basement entrance. TJ hardly showed up to check the work. Took 3 vacations during the process. When work was done wrong his answer was to speak with his sub contractor. In November 2022, he threatened me of suing me if I didn’t remove my concern I placed with Dopple. His insurance was expired and I was not able to submit a claim for my basement that was flooded due to his negligence. Now, he is setting petty reviews in my business page when he has never been my client defaming my name. And threatening me he will ruin me. Never encountered such a petty and unprofessional person.

I highly recommend TJ Contractors to anyone in need of construction services. Their dedication to customer satisfaction and their ability to deliver exceptional results make them stand out among the rest.

TJ did a amazing job redoing my back yard! New sprinkler system and all new sod. The yard looks awesome and we would be happy to work with TJ again.

TJ Contractors did a great job with my home project. I have also used them for a small remodel at a condo and they always communicate and have been on time with the schedule. I will be using them again and for referrals.

TJ Contractors did an absolutely fantastic job on our backyard landscaping. They cleared out our yard filled with 3 foot weeds and put down nice green sod. Will definitely being turning to them for more upcoming work we need

I used TJ Contractors last spring. They re-did my overgrown yard completely-more difficult by far than doing a new install. They hauled out fitzers, dug out an old garden, leveled the lot, installed sod and put in sprinklers. My lot is huge and they did a great job for a great price. Tiago has come out this spring to help me get the system on and going for the season. I highly recommend TJ Contractors!

I needed some sprinkler heads repaired on my parking strip. Brandon showed up right on time and we talked through what needed to be done. He got to work and the job was done in a little over an hour. He took his time and made sure I was happy with the work before cleaning up. The price was very reasonable.

I’ll definitely be calling on them again when I need sprinkler work done!

They did a great job pouring cement for our backyard patio. They moved drains and sprinklers and cleaned up when they finished. We are happy with the project.

TJ came to my rescue when I was having sprinkler system problems and my lawn was drying out. He arrived on time and fixed the problem within minutes. We utilized TJ Contractors to redo and landscape our front and back yard. TJ was great to work with. He was in constant communication with us and quick to respond from the start. Quoted us way lower than what our original quote was from a different company. Was quick to begin worth and did an amazing job. Im so happy with the result. Definitely hit TJ up.

We were so happy that we chose TJ Contractors to finish our basement. Our project was completed in about 6 weeks from start to finish. They were professional, responsive, communicated well and the finished product was fantastic. We will use them for our next project and would recommend them to family and friends.

It’s been a few years since TJ Contractors, LLC. Has done work for me and I have debating on posting a review ever since he destroyed one of my projects, but after having a discussion with a fellow colleague about the same issues with this company, I felt that unsuspecting customers need to know the truth .
I hired them to poor a large pool deck in Herriman for me because they claimed to be professional and do Quality work. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
Upon our initial job site walk I was assured by the owner that they understood the scope and that the quality had to be perfect and Finish needed to be smooth and consistent since it was around a pool and any Irregularities or rough areas could be dangerous to somebody running around barefooted.
So I agreed to go ahead with them and paid them 50% upfront so that they could purchase the materials. During the poor it was obvious that they had miscalculated the amount of concrete needed, and had to order in additional concrete , which showed up several hours later.
The end result was awful and nobody could walk barefooted without tearing their skin open. The surface was irregular and had very inconsistent high and low spots throughout the large area. The area that was miscalculated and had to be poured several hours later was not finished properly, and they forgot to broom it, which did not match the surrounding areas. Within the first 24 hours all the radius areas cracked due to improper expansion joint placement and required over 25% of the pool deck to be torn out and redone properly.
When I brought the issues up to the owner, he became confrontational and aggressive.
I reluctantly paid the balance upon completion based on the word of the owner that he would take care of any issues. Well, I guess taking care of any issues meant falling off the radar and not returning any calls or addressing the Subpar work that they left me with.
It is of my opinion that TJ Contractors, LLC is not qualified to perform the type of work that I hired them to do. I personally would not recommend this company to perform any work based off of my personal Experience with them.

TJ Contractors took on our full house renovation. My first communication with TJ was in February 2023. We began planning the renovation right away, which was exciting. We moved out of our house in May so the process could go quicker and hopefully smoother. TJ responded to texts quickly, answered his phone right away and when he couldn't, he would immediately respond with a text saying he would call back. He would always say he wanted things to be perfect.
There are many positive things I appreciated about TJ Contractors and project communication was not one of them. There were many details, ideas, and plans we had discussed that TJ would forget about. He would never take notes and often he would blame me for those missed details and plans. For example, in our main bathroom I told him I wanted the alcove on the left side of the shower. During installation I found out the alcove was placed on the right side of the shower and also made the decision which tile pattern to put in it. Due to lack of note taking and not communicating when installation was going to happen, the finished product was not what we expected and paid for. There were often additional charges to re-do his mistakes. We were left with the choice to live with it or pay more than what we had already paid for.
TJ would introduce me to the subcontractors and left it up to me to schedule appointments (at this time we were not living in the house) to meet and discuss details. It seemed to me I had taken on the role of contractor. For example, he introduced me to the cabinet rep and after that TJ was no longer involved in the cabinetry.
At the end of our renovation, which was in late July 2023, TJ hired carpenters, who happened to be the ones who "painted" the entire interior of our home. Most of the finish work and painting was less than subpar, which TJ admitted to. Some wall areas aren't even properly patched, sanded, primed, or even had a first coat of paint applied. All paint sheen was assumed by TJ and not even mentioned. There are bumps all along the trims, casings, and walls where the dust was not removed before painting started. All of these issues were pointed out to TJ and he still signed off on them, unwilling to fix them unless we paid for the paint job again. Regrettably, at this point we gave TJ most of the last payment installment.
A few days later my husband, TJ, and I set up a phone call to discuss finish work, paint, lose ends, and tasks needed to be completed before the final walk thru (although according to TJ, we already had had the final walk thru at the time the painting was finished). On that last phone call, TJ was extremely unprofessional and rude. He told us he was done and quit before our renovation was completed.
I believe TJ has blocked me on his phone. We have warranty questions and have sent a couple texts with no response.
I know there is a lot that goes into a full renovation. I feel throughout the whole process we were more than understanding about delays, TJ going on vacations, mistakes, and miscommunications. Since we completely moved out of our home, the renovation was to be finished in 4-6 weeks. Although the project was not fully completed, we moved back in 3 months after start date.
It’s now October and we are still in the process of repairing things that were left in an unacceptable manner, and still completing the things that were left undone. More time and money have been used to do so.
TJ Contractors posted pictures of cabinetry my dad had built and then took credit for them—my dad’s name is nowhere to be seen. I had no idea TJ Contractors had taken pictures of the inside of our home. We didn’t give him permission to do so. I wouldn’t have minded if there weren’t personal items in the pictures and if he gave credit to the person who built the cabinets.
There are many other things not listed here that made this project very difficult. It didn't meet our expectations. It is truly unfortunate that it ended the way it did.

They did a great job. They had all the subs scheduled to come one after the other so the job went smoothly and quickly. It was a good experience. I am happy to recommend them.
