Constraction reviews in Midvale, Utah

We needed our dryer vent cleaned after a full clog that ruined our old dryer so we had to get a new one. We had another company come out who wasn’t able to get it done due to our roof being too high to access. They tried to do it from the inside with no success. I called 4 more companies who couldn’t do it for the same reason, and was recommended All Pro by 2 of the largest companies in the state who do dryer duct cleaning. All Pro came out with a camera to check on it, and cleaned it from the inside, as well as fixed the feet on our new dryer that were damaged during delivery. Our new dryer works now, and I’m no longer scared of a fire starting because of a lint clog. Lincoln (our service tech) was great and very professional, he showed me the vent on the camera when they were done and it was a night and day difference (he even wore shoe booties the entire time, no other service tech with other companies has ever offered to do that). They also had a manager come out during service to make sure everything was good. I would recommend the company to anyone, and will be scheduling annual vent cleanings with them from now on.

All Pro Services came highly recommended to us when he had damage from a burst pipe in our basement. I can see why they were rated so high! They were fast, friendly, and did quality work. Jeff and Sheena were the team that came to do our repairs. They were so pleasant and cared about every detail being just right. They also were extremely tidy. The results are great! You can't even tell that we had damage. I definitely recommend.

Do not recommend. They came quickly and ripped up our house & since then it’s been very difficult to get calls returned or action taken to repair things. We are the ones having to call in & 3x have been told the guy who schedules is out of the building & will call us back. He never does. The secretaries are kind & listen but getting the people over getting our house back to normal has been a very frustrating experience. We’ve worked with a few other disaster companies & they were in & out within 4 days (total days…they came on weekends to ensure our house was back to normal) from the initial problem being reported, to tear out, to getting everything back to normal. We’ve only used All Pro for this current situation because the company at fault for damages recommended them & now that we’ve had this ordeal carrying into a 3rd week has been disappointing and feel it necessary to make others aware. Unfortunately our calls go unreturned & we find ourselves put on back burners. It should not take a negative review to get companies to make things right or return calls.
Update: We got called on Tuesday (Nov 4) & they said they’ll come out Monday thru Wednesday next week (Nov 10-12) to do the repairs. 4 weeks between ripping up our house to fixing it. & still no call from the owner or anyone who could make this right.
Update: The problem persists. The carpet smells like a wet dog & has since they came. The manager says they’d clean it again but our faith in them is very low. Whitney has now taken a very rude, inappropriate tone with us. This is OUR house and they’ve taken little ownership to make this right. It’s extremely disappointing to get so little help. And they’re the ones who’ve made a bad problem worse. -
I had a plumbing disaster that destroyed two bathrooms. All Pro swooped in fast. They were so supportive. The demolition team, Abraham Diaz and Brad Rowley, cleared the work zone of debris. AllPro connected me with a fine contractor, Jason Adams, of Adams Renovations, and Alex Cisneros and Whitney Thompson were great liasons to insurance and planning. The team was considerate, reassuring, cordial, and a pleasure to work with. I will never forget their sensitivity, courtesy, support, efficiency, speed and excellence. I recommend AllPro without reservation, to any home hit by disaster. Heartfelt thanks to AllPro for not only giving excellent service, but for being good, caring people! I will never forget you.

HIGHLY recommend! Call them now!
Two technicians came out to hook up my gas dryer and clean the dryer vents.
They were very respectful and made me feel important even though I am clueless when it comes to maintenance on my own.
They answered all my questions and told me that I am welcome to ask more.
Initially, I had booked my appointment a week out, but they had a cancellation and called to tell me they could come sooner! It totally made my day!!
Also, it was very affordable! I'm confident they are beating competitors at their price.
I'm so happy to have my dryer hooked up and clean vents now!!! :) :) :) -
Allpro services did an amazing job with water damage and drywall repairs Noah, who worked on the water damage did an amazing job explaining the process on how the repairs would go and Sheena did an excellent job on drywall making my restroom and closet look brand new.

I’m writing to compliment the staff and work of All Pro Services. A pipe leading from my main floor to the basement had a slow (undetected) leak which eventually saturated the floor, subfloor, and basement ceiling and sheet rocking.
The plumbing company we called (Manwill - another company that I would recommend in a heartbeat) fixed the leak and recommended All Pro for the restoration work.
Though we didn’t qualify for an insurance claim All Pro kept the costs reasonable (ie. NOT upselling unnecessary work) . When the mitigation crew was finished, the restoration expert (George) showed up on time, working their fanny off, through all the phases of restoration…. And it WAS restored to pre-flooding conditions!! I wish to thank All Pro and, especially, George, Billy, and Whitney for guiding us through this difficult challenge. -
All Pro Services have been amazing since day one. Brad was very knowledgeable and answered our questions and concerns. The clean up crew sis great with removing all the mold and cleaning off everything. Jeff and Sheena did an amazing job with repairs. They made sure to make everything look the same and consistent. They also did some extra patch work for us as well! They went above and beyond to make sure there was minimal dust.

All I can say is WOW!! They did an awesome job. It took us two years to find someone to reface our fireplace. It was exhausting. But we stumbled on 5star kitchen and bath. They had someone come out right away to give us and estimate and the follow up and communication with was amazing. The date of our install was on time and the guys showed up on the dot. Our fireplace came out soooo beautiful and we are sooooo very happy and thankful to them for doing such a great job!! We would definitely use them again for future projects. Definitely recommend them!
Thanks soooo much! We love our new fireplace facing! -

The installers who came to repair our flooring were wonderful. They worked hard and went above and beyond what was expected and required. They were very professional and courteous. Lazaro and Brady H were the best. The electrician who came the next day also noticed a few lights were not working and replaced all of the lights and they look wonderful. Thanks to Austin. I hope Donnie appreciates their care of the customer. Thanks for a job well done!!

Matt Chaffee was a wonderful consultant and Ethan and Zack did such a great job on the installation. All completed in a about 6 hours. Now I just have to paint the yellow walls and it will be even better. So happy to see the tile gone! I love my new shower!
Thank you 5-Star Kitchen & Bath!! -
When Brandon first came to our home to discuss five star’s philosophy and mission to make this the best experience possible for remodeling our kitchen, I was sold! Brandon then continued listening and advising and meeting us until he handed us off to the ever-attentive foreman, Donnie. Donnie also listened and worked through every question and concern we had through completion. 5 Star took care of everything. Scheduling and communication with Kylee was the most thorough and consistent I’ve ever experienced with a project this size. 5 Star took care of all the organization; designing, ordering, installing and plumbing making any adjustments as necessary. They were prompt and kept us informed throughout.
All of the teams were appropriately cordial and available. Raphaela oversaw and worked with her team to install our kitchen cabinets in a timely respectful manner flawlessly. Every
aspect of Andrew’s quartz countertop measurement and installation process was carried out until perfection! Leo worked by Andrew’s side in this enormous endeavor. These guys have talent and pride in their work.
Ryan and Gary wrapped up the job with an eye for excellence. They saw to every last thing from plumbing to more installation and clean up before I gave them my final payment. They had suggestions for questions we had moving forward. We were definitely in good hands throughout this process with five star kitchen and bath and would recommend them to everyone! -
During both of our remodels, the biggest complaints I had were communication and quality. Two big components that a company should really pride themselves on if they cared about their customer base.
Communication for our projects failed at almost every step of the way. The conversations had between us and the salesman were great, and then almost every single interaction that was not only had between us and the company but the company within themselves was comically poor. Their quality of work is not worth what you pay, not even close. There has not been a single thing that they've done that we haven't had to ask them to fix or redo. This adds time to the project, financial strain on us as customers, and not to mention the stress of constantly acting as a project manager. We have had MAJOR things need to be redone (I'm talking walls needing to be taken apart and rebuilt, cabinet and ceiling painting, relocating outlets, and an ENTIRE SHOWER FLOOR), as well as other things (paint chipped walls, bad putty jobs, grout crumbling, paint splattered inside and outside the house and on and on) and all of it was because no one from their team cares enough to do it right the first time. Not only that, but just this last time when pointing out that the glass they had "special ordered" was actually measured wrong and therefore our shower door is crooked, I was told that my "OCD will just have to live with it."
This company is not worth your time or effort. I would never recommend them to anyone. -
Great company. The folks at Five Star installed a walk-in shower for us after our old shower basin started leaking
They removed all of the old shower and gave us a beautiful new one. The folks there: Matt, Blake and Zack did an excellent job.
They ensured that we would enjoy our new shower through their craftsmanship and communications. Management came to our house to inspect and address our concerns during the construction.
I highly recommend these folks. -
Lazaro, Enrique, Jesus and Alberto did a beautiful job on replacing my old ugly bathtub and ugly walls with a beautiful walk in shower. I LOVE the window casing that they added to make the window stand out. They were professional and very nice. I'm very pleased with my new 5 Star walk in shower!

Working With Mr. David Adamson on our master bathroom remodel was a great experience. He walked us through several design ideas and made sure we understood all of the product options available before we started. He has great product knowledge and is very easy to talk to and work with. Communication was always prompt and appointments were always kept. I would recommend David to anyone considering a potential remodel. My wife and I are completely satisfied and know who to call for future projects.

I found 5 Star on the app Thumbtack. They were very responsive and got me on the schedule for a bid quickly. Kim was sent our way for the bid and was very friendly. He explained things well and was able to sit down and give up the bid right then. Kinsey in the office was very help as well. She was able to promptly answer the man questions I had and find answers if she wasn’t aware of the answer. We did not end up using them for our project because we decided to finish it ourselves but I very much appreciated their work ethic and responsiveness overall.

The salesperson, Tim, came to our house and was efficient and friendly to work with - he 100% knows what he's talking about and was so helpful! The people who did the remodeling, Jose and Francisco, were AMAZING! They clearly knew what they were doing and did it well and fast because our bathroom looks amazing in only 3 days. They also cleaned after ending their work each day which made living around the active construction area so much easier! 10/10 would go through this company again in the future.

Very disappointed!!!!
I've been hesitant to write a review because I know they are just trying to make an honest living, but I've decided I don't want anyone to go through what I've gone through.
Furthermore, the positive reviews certainly come because the installation team makes you feel like you need to write one when they are done in order for them to get a bonus. I even wrote one when the did my bathroom which turned out fine but I had to do a lot of touching up and finish work myself after they were done. This time I had them replace my floor and remodel my kitchen. Kitchen looks good now but it took a LONG time to get it done. Floor-read on...
First, there is a huge disconnect between the designer and the installation/remodel crew. Upper cabinets weren't ordered, then the upper cabinet was finally ordered but without the doors, then the crown molding wasn't ordered. Then the crown molding was installed horribly! Donny did come back himself though and fixed it nicely. All in all they had to come back 3 times over the course of 5 months to get everything right.
Second, the installation crew (with the exception of maybe one or two) is not adequately trained. After we had them remove the tile backsplash in our kitchen 3 times we finally ended up just doing it ourselves. We also had them install engineered hardwood floors. I'm pretty sure they had never done that before. I kept pointing out all the dings and scratches along the way and was told "oh don't worry we'll just patch it when we're done". How about don't scratch in the first place? After a month, you could tell that they didn't let the boards acclimate enough because we started to see shrinkage and now their are gaps all over the place. After two attempts at trying to fix it -BUT MAKING THINGS WORSE!, I decided to give up. I asked Donny for some sort of financial compensation so I could ask another company to come and fix it 2 months ago and I've heard nothing.
We had a guest over last night (granted, not a very nice one) who commented on the floor and said it looked terrible! Great! I guess after paying $60.000 for a remodel and a year later we are stuck. Use another company if you want it done right! -
Carson and Lazero are my GUYS! Lazero is truly talented and took a water damaged, badly patched ceiling and made it look brand new.
A Michelangelo. Carson is knowledgeable and helped us craft a kitchen that we are really enjoying. He expertly built a custom table around our island that is stunning and receives compliments whenever we have guests. Backsplash, cabinets, flooring all this and more they handled with aplomb. Others have noted here that there is a disconnect between design and implementation. I also felt this. But I worked with Donny and he was level headed and pragmatic in making sure that everything was implemented the way we had intended. Remodeling a huge kitchen/frontroom in an older house is never an easy task, but I will work with 5 star again, i'm pleased with my results. (it also helps if you feed them lunch! )
