Tremendous selection, but their prices can only be described as unethical. They wanted 150% more for vegetable transplants than I normally pay at my regular nursery. And it's not just the plants. Everything is priced off the charts. I won't be going back.

As the 2025 planting season approaches I thought of Millcreek Gardens as I have used for a decade. Last year, summer 2024, I strolled in hoping to continue my perennial planting. Now on fixed the income there was no way I could afford anything at Millcreek Gardens. Even without a fixed income a neighbor would be hard pressed to afford anything but one plant. Now that we have to compete with high did prices gardening is a luxury when using this business. They have a wonderful extensive inventory. It's is worth a stroll. Beware, this is a place for higher income residents. Sad but I have to leave them as I promised The n would do, which I am. Shop around.

First visit, everyone was very helpful.Got everything we needed and yes, on some items you are going to pay more money at this garden center. but it is worth it to shop local and if you actually look and take time in this garden center you will notice there are tons of items that are made in America by craftsman here in the USA. Including the windchimes.. & other really special products made right here in Utah by local craftsman & that is important.. More important than saving money sometimes to get it cheaper!

So shopping at a local smaller garden center is worth it to pay the extra money!

Love that it's local but don't love the prices or selection of outdoor plants. Trees were great and fruit trees and plants but everything else was a mess, and not the happiest looking plants. Not much for organization to make finding the things you want easier. You get overwhelmed waaaaay before you find anything you like. Some of the plants don't even have any markers on them to tell you what it is.
Plant selection inside is always great and varies each time ago. Expect to pay much more here for plants.

I have been to this garden center many times, I even have referred anyone reading my other Google reviews to visit here and I've told many friends and family about my experiences. Particularly today, I called and asked the associate who answered 'I'm looking for purple peonies, would you be able to tell me if you have any in stock?' after a few moments pause, she responded by reading off the varieties they do have in stock which included the variety 'anemone peony' which she said was purple. I told her I would pull it up while speaking on the phone, and told her I was confused because anemone is a different flower completely I thought. However, I did find a picture of a deep purple peony anemone immediately on Google and said 'that looks great, looks like that's exactly what I'll get and I will be there soon'. She said 'terrific, that's what we have, and if you want a different variety or if you need more we can also order it for you'.
Upon arrival, I didn't see many peonies so I found an associate who showed me the rest and told me she had never heard of the one I was told about. I told her neither had I until today, but really any variety of purple peony would be fine. I had no luck finding it, and I don't know what happened to her so I went to the front to ask if the woman who answered the phone could show me. My question, 'I was told you have purple peonies in stock, could somebody show me them?' was met with the following responses: 'in 13 years I have never seen one here', 'I overheard the associate talking to you on the phone, and she only told you that we could order them in', 'you're asking a very complicated question in a busy garden center' (umm.. I don't lie, I'm giving a full disclosure here, and frankly anyone you ask in any garden center or on the street would tell you my question was simple), 'we have had them in stock before, these are the two varieties we've had... (Purple spider and Paul Brand)'. Neither of them were in stock, however Kathleen took terrific care to make sure I was aware of all varieties they had that day. I was encouraged and cordially met by the owner who invited me to provide a selection, they have things grown and are happy to have it ordered for me whatever I choose.
I'm surprised this is the first time I have reviewed Millcreek Gardens. I will leave this review as is for now until I can make a concise recommendation on the garden center. For now, John has been great helping with trees and I have returned many times because of positive experiences. I told the owner the flaw that I feel could be fixed is clear communication on the phone to not tell me something is in stock when it isn't, and hasn't ever been in stock there--if I'm calling on the phone to ask if they have a plant, unless I am making an order for the plant, obviously I'm attempting to save myself the trip--, and apologize for the accusation to make amends. I wouldn't have made the trip had I simply been told it wasn't in stock, or 'I'm not able to look for you at this time, it might be faster/easier to come see for yourself'. However, if I heard right on the phone, she did tell me 'come Google the flowers with your eyes...' it sounded quite snarky. Vent over!
Visit Glover nursery, I called them and they immediately found the answer on the phone.

We didn't have a good experience top down with Millcreek gardens. We purchased some bushes and on the way out were told we better not kill them because they're easy. A year later, 2 died and they were under warranty. We were told 2-3 weeks for the special order. 6 weeks later, after speaking with someone in management, I was finally given an answer that they just can't get them and they let me return the gift card. It was a mess and we were really disappointed by the tone of communication. We won't be returning.

I have made several trips to Millcreek Gardens this year, and all the employees have been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. On my last trip, Nolan helped me select the appropriate folding cages for my tomatoes and loaded them into my car. On a couple of my visits, Kathy helped me and was so kind. She helped me again today from one end of the garden to the other. When she saw me several minutes later, she asked if I’d found the basil I’d been looking for. Then, she tracked down tools to help me get a cool piece of garden art disassembled and into my car. I feel like I keep meeting new old friends here! Thanks for helping me create a beautiful garden 💚

I was nervous going in because I have always killed everything I’ve ever tried to grow, but Heidi took great care of me and helped me get everything I needed. She was so helpful with tips and tricks for taking care of my new strawberry plants, I’m actually hopeful I won’t kill these off! 5 stars from me. Heidi and the whole team were great, so helpful and friendly!

Just went there today and they were great. They sell some of the hottest peppers in the valley and they work really hard to take care of their plants. Be nice to these guys and give'em your business.

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff available to help with anything you need. Great selection of plants, flowers, gardening pots and tools of every range. Great place for every idea you may have for your home. Easy location in the valley.

Donna is awesome. She helped pick out some vegetables. Told me how to plant tomatoes to get a better crop. She took her time to help me. Had a great experience.

Great selection, but way overpriced. The sticker price, which is put on by the distributor, on their honeysuckle and Boston ivy Monrovia brand plants is crossed out and overwritten with a sharpie. Bought a pineleaf penstemon from Growing Empire just down the street for $15. Millcreek gardens had the same size container with the plant half the size for the same exact price. As if they split the plants and make double the profit.

Was just at Western Gardens and noticed they have bleeding hearts for $12.99. Same size container similar size plant for $24 at western gardens. See photo.

A gem of a place I had the privilege of visiting today. They have all the things you will want and need for all your indoor and outdoor planting needs. Parking is ample. They take necessary precautions during these Covid times. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I will be back.

Amazing plant and garden selection. Customer service is good. The garden kitty is cute. I think many of the plants were overpriced. $55 for a blackberry start is too high. $30 for dead looking rabbitbush is also high. I was also put off by the gutter salesman next to the checkout line.

My daughter, granddaughter and I went to the Halloween Transylvania event. The price online added an almost $4 fee if you bought tickets through the site. We planned to pay at the door. They were very unorganized and it took 15 plus minutes for the first person to even pay. When it was our turn, we noticed they were taking payments through the site and charging the same almost $4 in fees. When we got in we had to listen to 3 stories to get into the main attraction which is too much for small children and the set up was certainly not worth the $14.50 we ended up paying per person. Finally at the end my granddaughter was not moving quickly enough for "count dracula" and he made a snarky remark about " having all night to hold the curtain for her". We skipped him and left the opposite way. The whole experience was too expensive and very meh. Would not recommend.

I LOVE Millcreek gardens. I grew up going here with my mother and grandmother so when I wanted to do some planting of my own, I thought of this place first. They have a great selection of plants at fairly reasonable prices. The staff is GREAT. When I was looking for ground cover for my front plant bed, a staff member spent at least 10 minutes with me giving me suggestions on what to buy. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in buying plants.

Very nice family run business, I was told they've been going close to 70 years. I dont know anything about gardening and the worker was extremely helpful in giving me tips on my roses. Tons of locally sourced decorations and plants.

Very beautiful place to go out and walk through, if you're lucky you may see one of the rabbits 🐇

Went to the event 10/25 and waited in like for about 30 mins because they woman at the front couldn’t figure out how to work the Square for payment… completely unorganized. We finally got through and they have trick or treat buckets out so we grabbed one and a ‘fragment’ which is a literal block of wood. Walked up to a stand where a man was playing possibly a pirate (?) and was holding a curtain and gave attitude when I didn’t walk up right in front of him when there was already a crowd formed saying ‘well I guess I’ll just hold this all day’. We walked through for about 5 more mins and picked up 3 more ‘fragments’ until we got to the end where we had to turn in the wood and the bucket…. The whole walk through of the place was probably less than the time we waited for the girl to figure out how to work the Square Payment. Also it’s 12.00 a person on Saturday but they charge tax and a ‘processing fee’ so my total for 2 people was 27.71. My mom paid cash for herself and it was 12.83, she gave them 13.00 and staff put it in their pocket and called it good…. Price was outrageous for what they offer and the staff was rude and condescending. I would not recommend or return here ever.

They had a huge selection. I was thrilled to find coral belles for my Mom. Have some beautiful, what look like, hand painted pots too.

I love the options they have along with the bunny and cat that live there! My only issue is how steep the prices are - I get that it’s a local business but the items are reallly marked up.
