Red barn/ John volken academy movers was by fair the best choice I made in a crazy moving experience. We had four movers; Jaiden, Juan, Isidore, and Dylan, they were all exceptional! These guys worked their butts off and got everything done faster than I expected. They all had a positive mindset and personality that would’ve passed on to anyone else. Anthony is the one who answered our call and made it such a great experience for us to move last minute and made us not worry about the hassle either. He told me they love books and stairs and I first thought it was sarcasm, until one would pick up my box of books and another would say lucky with smiles running (safely) down the stairs. These guys are all rockstars and I appreciate what they do and their service!

These movers were amazing! They took great care to wrap and package everything so carefully. They were communicative and always asked what needed to be done. Christian, Shawnte, Ricky, and Deng were awesome and so nice! They were so affordable too! Highly recommend 10/10

This is our second time using Red Barn Movers. Iseli (lead), Tyson, Neil, And Rafael did a really great job. They packed, loaded, and unloaded all our belongings and furniture with care (and really fast). We definitely recommend Red Barn, and will be calling again when the next move arrives! Justin and I are really appreciate all the quality work from your team! We really love what Red Barn academy gives opportunities to their members as well. You guys are AWESOME!

Great with communication and I appreciated the reminder call the day before. They showed up on time and were nice, helped box up a really fragile piece of large furniture, and worked quickly. Overall I was really impressed with their professionalism and felt they had competitive pricing after researching multiple companies. They disassembled a bed for me which was really nice!

The John Volken Academy Movers did a great job moving our furnishings! There three employees: Jaden Mikulich, Luka Visic, and Matthew Harmon, were capable and courteous professionals. There attention to the details of moving our possessions successfully without damaging anything was much-appreciated by us. Thank you for your efforts. Moving can be so stressful, but the team of movers from John Volken Academy movers made our recent move from Kaysville to Woods Cross the best moving experience we've ever had. Alec, Jaiden, Shawnti and Ricky went above and beyond to be efficient, tidy, and so professional and fast! They wrapped all our of furniture with care, and we didn't have a single scratch or dent. It was so nice to sit back and let professionals move large items with care. We can't recommend these fabulous young men highly enough. If you're considering a moving company, your best bet it to choose Academy Movers.

These guys are the best. The Academy was able to fit us in on very short notice, and arrived on time to unload our POD. Nathaniel, Dylan, Craig, and Eloy got right to work, and unloaded our POD in less than half the time it took the movers in Florida to load it. They were professional, friendly, and treated our belongings with great care. They even helped us move some of our existing furniture around to make room for the new items. We used several different movers during our cross-country move, and Academy Movers was by far the best of the bunch. They were also the least expensive, as well. I hope we don't have to move again any time soon, but if I ever need movers I would absolutely use Academy movers again!

We could not have been happier with our team of movers from John Volken Academy. Alec, Nathaniel, Craig and Isidore were polite, courteous, hustled all day long and worked well as a team. They were very careful with our furniture and respected everything. They were extremely communicative from the first time they came to give us an estimate to the day they arrived, and all 10.5 hours they were with us moving. They were also reasonably priced! These men are making good choices to turn their lives around and we support them 100% in their mission. I would highly recommend the John Volken Academy Movers for your next move!

This group of gentleman Neil, Joseph, Eduardo, Brandon and Charles were outstanding men.
They worked well together, extremely polite, professional and motivated to do the job right. Anytime I need a hand lifting or moving Red Barn Movers has my business.
Additional bonus to hear some of their stories of life and how motivated they are to contribute to society, themselves and their respective family.

To start, if I could give these guys 15/5 stars, I would! If you need ANY assistance with moving, in any capacity, look no further. These guys are 1000% worth the money!

After our amazing experience, it is apparent that JVAM is doing great things, both for it’s customers and for it’s students/residents. We needed assistance with transferring our 10x10 storage unit to a U-Haul truck, as we had flown up and were going to take it out of state. When we showed up at our storage unit, I quickly came to the realization that I had probably rented way too big of a truck. When Casey Wasden, Roger Torres, and Jared Smith showed up to assist, they were prompt, very professional, and despite their varied backgrounds, my wife and I both felt very comfortable with them. I asked them for their opinion about the truck size, which they confirmed I could have gotten away with a 12’ unit. Not wanting to drive a larger truck than necessary, I asked if they would mind if I could go exchange it for a smaller truck and that I would pay them for any extra time necessary. They agreed and we went to exchange for a 15’ unit. By the time we got back to our storage unit an hour later, the guys had already staged most of the storage unit and had our couches broken down, wrapped, and ready to pack. The next hour was the MOST well oiled, efficient, careful machine I have seen work. They worked in almost perfect harmony, with two guys bringing everything out to the truck and the other inside packing everything like he was playing a perfect game of Tetris, all the while cracking jokes and keeping the atmosphere high. When the guys finished after a total of two hours of work (including the time we left to exchange the truck), everything was completely secured with plenty of room left to spare. And everything stayed exactly in place all the way through our 12 hour drive to our new house.

After the loading, we took Casey, Roger, and Jared to lunch (since we were unable to tip them per policy) where we were able to sit with them and really get to know them, to understand why they were a part of the program. This experience really cemented WHY this program is so beneficial. Hearing their varied experiences was really touching and we could tell that the guys were actually benefiting from us hiring them. We also got to learn how the program was helping them to improve their lives, the experiences and skills they were gaining, and even the schooling they were taking.

Again, I cannot stress enough how awesome Casey, Roger, and Jared were. They did such an excellent job and far surpassed our expectations in every capacity. I would, and will, recommend these guys to everyone. I am sad that they do not have a facility where we are now living, because I honestly can’t imagine having to move anything myself again or having to hire a different company that may not be as good as these guys are.

So impressed with these guys. We were in need of help moving and what a great service they provide. Some businesses are just a business but these guys have a story to tell and are willing to share it with you. Absolutely incredible the life paths each one have been on and how they were led to Academy Movers. Casey, Anthony, Nathan, Craig, Shawnte, Rob were are such incredible workers. I would 1,000% recommend these guys. They moved my family yesterday and did a phenomenal job. They were careful, responsive and respectful. I'll never use a different moving company. If you've ever had someone close to you that has struggled with substance abuse/alcoholism, you know just how tough it can be for them to turn around their lives. These guys are living proof that people can change and overcome adversity, and by using them you're supporting their recovery. Fires me up! 10/10

Very competitively priced, hardest workers you will find:) 3100 sq ft house took 10.5 hours (we boxed and packed a lot beforehand).

If I could score 100 stars, the score is more appropriate. I think this company, Red Barn Movers, are the best movers I have ever experienced. Way above and beyond service and expectations for the customer. The first team was Neil, Brian, and Brandon. They cleaned up the garage and started the garbage pile. I found out that I could donate from Neil to their Red Barn Thrift shop. So, not only does Red Barn move people but collected the throw away, donations, and help me pack what I was unable to. Then a new team; Russel, Jared, Michael, Christopher, and Kyle, came to collect the donations. They went through everything and picked out donation accepted items. Not only did I move today, but I was able to donate to a worthy cause, trash in one area, and packed what I was unable to do. This was magical to watch.
These teams work together like a machine to make whatever needs done, finished. What a relief for the customers. Like I said I could write an essay. I cannot say enough good things about Red Barn Movers.

Absolutely incredible moving experience!
This group of guys went above and beyond from start to finish. They showed up 10 minutes early and didn’t complain once, even with multiple flights of stairs, several stops (including a storage unit and a neighbor’s house for extra furniture), and two trips to our apartment. Every item, from dishes to delicate décor, was handled with total care, not a single thing was damaged!

They thoughtfully placed all the boxes in the correct rooms, assembled both our beds, and even helped us get the feng shui just right. On top of being fast and efficient, they were friendly, respectful, and clearly take pride in what they do.

If you're planning a move, do yourself a favor and call these guys. Seriously “Every box saves lives!” 💪📦

No one wants to move, its a pain. Best decision I made was calling John Volken Academy Movers Utah - moved a short distance but I was out of the old and in the new quick. Craig Shurtz, Casey Wasden, Matthew Harmon and Ricky Archuleta were amazing. These guys killed it. They were careful with my things and were very respectful. I have used professional moving companies in the past and these guys were so much better. Will definitely use again. Thank you gentlemen, you were amazing and good luck in the future.

Christian, Luka, Alfredo, and Jared moved an upright grand piano for me from a place I wasn’t straight to my home. Communication was amazing, service was friendly and quick, and I watched all four take great care to move my piano very gently over every crack in the driveway.

I price shopped a bit before I found them and they were the best rate I found for piano movers. I called and they got to me within 24 hours!

My order involves several stairs, a steep driveway, and materials but the whole thing was covered for a flat rate. There were several insurance options available that I opted to skip.

I will totally use John Volken again! Very pleased with my service.

Every single last one of the staff were absolutely awesome. Their level of professionalism was outstanding. These guys are so kind, helpful and really go the extra mile. Jaden Casey Craig, matthew, Isidore and ricky are All just excellent workers and people. You are lucky if you get to work with these guys. The program they work for is remarkable as well and truly life-changing. I definitely would recommend using this moving company and helping a great cause over anyone else.

After me rescheduling 3 times, and Neil calling me politely asking if they could get me back on their schedule, we had 4 gentleman come to move our hot tub. Quality individuals! Hard working! It was a bonus to hear Academy program helps individuals get back on their feet, providing jobs and educational opportunities.

We hired John Volken Academy Movers this past weekend for our move from Woods Cross to West Bountiful. We’re so glad we did! Our crew, Casey, Martin, Jake, and Shawn were awesome! Very professional, very efficient, fair price (they don’t charge for their drive time like most moving companies), no damage to our home or furniture, and good communication. I absolutely recommend them and next time we move we’ll be using John Volken again for sure.

We had a single mom in need of help with a move, and after not being able to find support through our recovery community, John Volken Academy stepped in immediately and said yes without hesitation. They provided their time, truck, and services to make it happen.

The men who helped were polite, hardworking, and went above and beyond by making sure furniture was placed properly and even helping put the bed together.
