The tech moved slow. (Paid by the hour?) He was not sure how to fix one of our problems. On top of all that he quoted $9,000. to replace our water heater, prompting us to call another company. Next time don’t come to work “high”.

Late Saturday night I realized my house's main line was blocked, and the tub, toilet, and mechanicals room drain were all backed up and holding water. I called several companies that advertised as being 24/7 and available for any emergency, only to be told the soonest they could be out was late Monday morning.

Then I saw the listing for Mike Bachman Plumbing, and remembered they had been to our house before and were not only nice, but competent and fairly priced. I called around 11PM, and was told they could have someone to me as the first call Sunday morning, arriving between 9 and 11AM!

Frustratingly I cannot remember the plumber's name (I'm so sorry, I'm terrible with names!), but he was one of the Bachmans. He got right to work, and determined where the blockage was. To fix it he had to pull the hall bath toilet; clear out the line with a drain auger (the snake couldn't get through the blockage); ran a camera down the line to confirm the line was clear and didn't have any other issues; and then reset the toilet with a new wax ring.

On top of all his exceptional plumbing work, Mr. Bachman cleaned every tiny bit of mess that may have been a side effect of all his hard work - my bathroom was as spotless as when he arrived! Turns out the toilet had also been the source of a pervasive moldy smell in that bathroom - the last time the toilet was pulled and reset (had the floors replaced) it wasn't done correctly.

I'm a fan of Mike Bachman Plumbing for good, and whenever I need a plumber, I will call them. They give the service industry - and Plumbers especially - a good name. Thank you!

Since I started using Bachman plumbing - maybe 15yrs ago, I have never used anyone else. The service quality starts with them being easy to contact, quick availability, prompt arrival, every one is very courteous and very willing to answer questions. They make sure you understand the cost of the project (both on the phone and when they arrive). I have never felt rushed because they needed to go to another appointment. They have very helpful with minor issues as well. Recently some friends and I were sharing our favorite service people and others also highly recommended Bachman. They are a family owned Northern Utah business which I will continue to support.

Plumber explained what needed to be done and knew I was selling the home so he looked at other issues the inspector might reject. He was honest and not pushy about getting things done.

The technicians were very friendly and sociable, but the price was unbeliebly too high. In September 2014, they (meaning the company) replaced my old water heater with a 40-gallon water heater for $849.95; this time (in December 2025, only 11 years later), they replaced it with another 40-gallon water heater for $2732.95, more than tripling the price of 11 years ago!

They were able to fit me in on the same day I called, and right at the beginning of the time window as well! The tech/plumber was really kind as was the dispatch lady I talked to!

I have been using Mike Bachman Plumbing for years and years. They come on holidays, they come on weekends. I have had no problems on any of the work they have done. Five stars, for sure!!

Second time I have need their help fixing an issue. They showed up same day we called. Awesome service, great and fun attitudes. Problem solved 2 hours after they showed up. I will not hesitate to call them again if I need to

Mason was great! Accomodated a last minute schedule change and was extremely professional. Very clean, quick, and high quality work. Looking forward to having him back for the renovation he gave us a quote on as well.
