I requested quotes from the top 8 companies listed for our area when I needed a new fence around the end of April. 4 companies showed up to look- I received 3 quotes.

My home has some situations that make putting in a fence a little unique. These guys came up with solutions that will last and look amazing.

After showing up to install our fence- we called an audible and asked for all of our flower beds to be papered and covered in gravel. They even got that done too- all before Mother’s Day!!!

As with anything, you most definitely get what you pay for. They are clean, efficient, quiet, respectful, responsive and professional.

Yellowstone Fence Sprinkler and Landscape comes with my highest recommendation. My wife and I hired their team to install a fence, sprinkling system and sod. The project was seamlessly completed and we love it! The property is a mountainside lot; a very challenging project to say the least. Greg Shepherd worked tirelessly with his employees and delivered exactly what we wanted in a very timely manner. I would also like to add that any questions we had were addressed immediately. There is no doubt, I will use this company for all my landscaping needs and will refer friends and family, knowing the job will be done right and at a very reasonable price!!! The gold standard in landscaping and just being an awesome human. Greg and his entire team were professional, cordial and clean. I've been around my fair share of construction crews and Greg truly takes pride in every avenue of work he performs. He took the time the explain the way they will execute the job and the scope of work. We ran into some serious delays with material, no fault of his, and we battled that together for most of the job. He had to deal with me constantly checking in on status of concrete, fencing, irrigation etc and he always did his best to answer as best as he could, even if he didn't have a new answer we would chat for a little bit about the job or how crazy things are currently. 🙂. Now that our job is finally done the only complaint I have with Yellowstone is that we now part ways, until the next job. 😉

We needed a vinyl fence with a gate to match the one we had another company install on other side of our house. Greg was very kind and responsive, he answered all of our questions and validated all of our concerns. He came out within a couple days of the initial conversation and gave us a quote right there, on the spot, that was very competitive and fair - perfect for what we needed. The fence and gate were installed and finished within just two weeks of our first conversation. Yellowstone has done a fantastic job for me. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this is a group that stands out. My wife and I finished building our house and needed help with the yard. Just like a previous post said...I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Installed a new sprinkler system, graded the ground and laid new sod. These guys are great, hard working, knowledgeable, extremely punctual and it is obvious they all care about job perfection. Very refreshing to have an open and easy line of communication with the owner, Greg. You will never be disappointed if you use Yellowstone as your team!!! Never!!!

I contacted Yellowstone (owner Greg) for an estimate of: sprinkler system, grade, top soil, decorative rock, curbing, and sod. He promptly provided me with a written estimate as well as several addresses we could check for a sample of his work. He gave us the address of a prior client who did their landscaping very similar to what we wanted, and we were able to speak with them. We talked to several prior clients and they all had the same story to tell, which is now the story we tell. We found Yellowstone to be a top notch landscaping company. They were quick to respond to our questions and offered helpful information. The employees were hard working and professional. Additionally, they were pleasant people. The equipment they used was evidence of the professionalism of the company. Greg was very responsive to us during the landscaping process. Texts were quickly replied to, and calls were answered. For part of our landscaping (curbing) he had another company come in and do the work. It was seamless in having them do the work and Greg coordinated everything. And I have to add, the curbing was very well done, great design. No review would be complete without mentioning money. As I said, we started with an estimate. In the process, we changed a few things but the final bill was right on track with the estimate. We thought the pricing was fair for all the work they did. If you're looking for a professional who knows the landscaping business, as well as how to run that business, we recommend you give Yellowstone a call.

Working with Greg was great. He was able to get our project done earlier than quoted. Within minutes he responded to any questions I had throughout the process and quickly fixed any issues. If I have further landscaping needs I will be using Yellowstone again.

Greg and the team at Yellowstone went above and beyond foe my family in completing our home by landscaping our yard. Our new home is now beautiful inside and out. When I called Greg set a time to come over to do a bid and explained everything that they do, what his company is about, and offered options to what work they could get done. He answered any and all questions I had throughout the process and was on time every time he said he would be. They poured an Rv pad on our driveway, added to our patio, installed sprinklers, set us up for curbing, did a final grade, and installed sod. Their professionalism and hard work got our yard ready for sod in a matter of days for what would have taken me weeks. Greg was also very intuitive to give us extra knowledge and tips for planting and taking care of our yard afterword. Greg and his team did an excellent job with our landscaping. He was very responsive, did exactly what we wanted and went above and beyond in several ways, and outpriced competitors. We would recommend Yellowstone to anyone.

First, we called multiple companies for quotes and Greg from Yellowstone was the first to respond (most companies never even returned our calls). Although he was the farthest away from our location he was also the first to come give us a consultation and quote. During the consultation he explained things clearly and gave realistic price quotes. He also explained how the product he uses for his fences was sturdier than what most of our neighbors had used. We decided to have Greg and Yellowstone do our project. He was great at communicating with us and was accommodating to weather issues that were going on. He met expected time frames and did the job in a reasonable time. After he completed the project I noticed a couple small issues with sprinklers that had been blocked by the fence. I was sure that he wouldn’t come back, but with one message he not only had someone come fix the issues, he didn’t charge. I would recommend Yellowstone and Greg to family and friends and would definitely use them again for any projects I have. They deserve their 5 stars.

We had Greg and his crew do our yard a couple of years ago. I’ve waited to write this review to see how it has all held up. Our project consisted of fencing, sprinklers, grading, some rock, and sod delivery. Greg also helped to coordinate some concrete work.

Greg was good at keeping me up-to-date and getting the project completed within a reasonable amount of time. The fencing looks great and was installed well including the mow strip concrete underneath. For the amount of work they did, overall it has help up well and I’ve been happy with the work they did.

A few negatives to point out that hopefully they can take and improve on in future projects:

- For a from-scratch system, the amount of dry spots is surprising. I am in my third summer now still trying to get the system to cover as well as it should be doing. The heads are there with adequate pressure. just not necessarily spaced correctly or using the appropriate sized head.
- A couple areas were not compacted well, and we have had to work to fix the low spots in the grass. In particular, there was a 3” sink clearly right on top of the sprinkler line that went about 25’ down the middle of the back yard. Better compacting on top of where they dig lines would have been nice and saved me a lot of time.
- Main lines for 3 stations sits about 1-2” below the surface. These should have been much deeper. Found them when installing a swing set. Other lines going through the same area were appropriate depth, so there was just an issue with these not fully taking the grading changes into account.
- 2/4 gates have had continual issues with not opening/closing easily, despite multiple adjustments. To be fair, maybe this is just a flaw of vinyl fencing, I really don’t know.

Overall, we have been happy with the work done and would certainly consider using Yellowstone again in the future.

The whole system filter is something I forgot to mention that is an awesome feature of this installation. It does a great job keeping the lines clear. Remembering to keep it clean is an important detail, so thanks for the reminder.

Work was completed in May 2022, so the warranty period actually ended in May 2023, not May 2024.
* The compaction issue didn't become apparent until early summer 2023, just after the warranty ended, likely due to the awesome winter of 2022-2023.
* The depth of the sprinkler lines wasn't found until summer 2024 when installing a swing set.
* On the gates, I did have you come adjust them at one point. You even spent the time to show me how to adjust them, which I appreciated. They seem to be temperamental based on the outside temperature. That is why I mention on that maybe that is just a feature of vinyl fences, not necessarily an installation issue.
