Best home improvement money I've spent in a while. Just wish I had more projects for them to do right now! I called around for estimates on replacing a small section of roof over the entry way to the basement. Yes, it was a small job but Ed was prompt and thorough in all his communication. He was also very reasonably priced. He provided insight into 'best practices' that I didn't get from other big name companies in the area. Instead of spending 3x as much on the latest in flat roof material technology from another company, he pitched the roof and installed tried and true shingles. It both looks and functions better at a fraction of the cost. This is the kind of advice and vision I was hoping I'd get from a professional and Ed and team delivered. We had a chronic small leak in our roof. After trying several other companies without returned calls, I contacted C.B. at 11am on a Thursday and set up a time to stop by the same day when I returned from work. He was timely, friendly, professional and climbed up on our roof to add flashing and caulking at the source of the leak. Trying to find someone to fix our leak has been a frustrating process and C.B. restored my faith in accessing quality and timely home repair at a good value. I will be contacting them again for future projects!
Had a great experience with Chittenden Builders, we had a small leak in our roof around the chimney and had been trying to get someone to come take a look for a bit but others weren’t answering/returning calls or weren’t taking on smaller jobs but Chittenden Builders answered the phone and came out same day to take a look and repaired my leak within an hour. Phenomenal job! Definitely recommend!
I had inquired with Ed Brown from Chittenden Builders in the fall of 2014 to put a new roof on my house in Burlington. I received a timely estimate for the work at a great price. Ed used quality materials, and was able to complete the project very fast, even came in on Sunday to get it started. I am overall very happy with Ed's professionalism and responsiveness, will certainly inquire with Chittenden Builders again for future work.
I am thrilled with the roofing job Chittenden Builders did for us. Ed was extremely easy to work with. He stopped by quickly to look over the job, gave a very fair estimate and started work when he said he would. He and the crew worked very hard. Not only is the new roof an excellent job, but he was more than willing to do a few extra things, was always friendly and accommodating and kept the work site in meticulous order. The best part: He stuck to his estimate! I would definitely have Ed and his crew back!
Ed was able to give me a fair estimate very quickly. After getting the written estimate and agreeing to the price and scope of work (which included removing a metal chimney), he was able to get the roof on the house, the garage and covered porch finished in two days. The gutters were cleaned out and dumpster removed quickly. The entire project only took 4 days. When I stopped by on the second day, the guys were polite and answered all my questions. Very happy and would recommend him.
