Great craftmanship, lawn work and responsive. J.N. King Lawn Care worked with me to design and create a whole new backyard. Added sod, built custom made garden beds & a new landing. Excellent experience that fit all my needs!

I withheld writing this review for nearly 3 months in hopes that Nolan would make things right; unfortunately that is not the case. We paid Nolan and his crew of 3 high school students $2,000 for approximately 3.5 hours of work. He did directly express to me that finding qualified “help” was hard and that his staff did not know the difference between a weed and a plant. I can attest that it is true that he does not have a qualified staff.

On our contract was for the following: yard cleanup (removing sticks, leaves, pre-bagged debris), mulching edging and weeding beds, aerating the lawn and seeding, and two mows.

He asked I pay in full before the work started. Which I did. I should have known better. I generally trust people and this experience has taught me otherwise.

He did not pull any weeds, simply weed whacked and covered with old dried out mulch, left entire areas full of leaves and debris, failed to fully mulch the beds, did not edge any of the beds. How could they possibly complete $2k in work in 3 hours?! He destroyed many of our annuals, with weed whackers and despite promising to make it right and replace them, never did. He was hostile, impolite, and non responsive despite many attempts to ask he simply execute on the work that was promised to us. We paid for two mow, trim, edging he never provided the second even though we asked. He said it would “have to wait” along with his promise to replace the 13 ruined plants - it’s been 60 days since that communication.

This was a big expense for our family and I felt stolen from. I ended up doing the work myself, buying an additional 48 bags of mulch to account for the mulching that was not done, and replacing the plants that were ruined.

If not for the quality of the work I would advise against using this company on principle alone - Nolan is not an honest person and I hope you are not the next he steals from.

JN King frequently purchases fresh sod from us for their landscaping business. The are committed to using high-quality sod for their customers making their business a success, while contributing to ours. Each time they place an order they are friendly, show up on time, and are very pleasant!!! Plus they always share a story on social media creating content that I am happy to share. If this is how they treat a supplier than I can only imagine how awesome it must be to be one of their clients.

Nolan and his team has taken care of my yard for years. They do great work and pay attention to detail while remaining affordable. Highly recommend them!

Nolan and crew are doing a great job on my property for lawn mowing/maintenance. I am trying to rent it and needed their services fast and frequently, and they were able to accommodate me. Nolan is responsive, reliable, and agreed to a competitive price. Easy to make payment too, receiving the invoice on my email and I can pay it online. I definitely recommend their services.

This company is awesome! Nolan has been extremely responsive to any texts I send and his prices are very fair! He has removed two trees, mulched my yard, gave me great advice on planting a new tree, and his mows are the best! The best part, he immediately bills me after every mow service and I can just pay with my phone. I highly recommend J. N. King and Nolan for any yard work!

I was very skeptical at first because there are lots of fake lawn care companies out there that just scam you. When meeting with nolan he was very honest and upfront with everything.

For those who do not want to read a long review, the short and sweet of it, Nolan and J.N. King Lawn Care team are amazing. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Now, for the long version, we found Nolan and his team by pure luck. We were living in another country while our house was being renovated and needed our yard to be cared for. We reached out to several companies and Nolan was not only the first to respond, he was the only one to respond, the same day at that. Our house went frim the "creepy house" on the street (because you couldnt see it with all the brush) to the envy of the neighborhood. Soon all of our neighbors started having landscaping done and several hired Nolan from the work he has done on our house.

No matter how crazy and outrageous the request, Nolan gets it done. We wanted our back patio expanded, done. We wanted a garden, done. We wanted a privacy screen for our hot tube, done. We wanted the jungle at the end of our yard cleaned out, done. As Nolan says, he will never say we cant do that, he says they will figure it out. I have also never met a person who knows their profession more than him. I can give him the most basic description of a plant and the next day, here he is with it and planting it in our yard. He also has no problem telling us when an idea we have isnt a very good one, he will not rip you off by wasting your money on a useless project. Then there is the fact that Nolan is just a great guy. We really enjoy just hanging out and talking with him when he is here.
