Remodeler reviews in Alexandria, Virginia

From the first appt to get estimates and information, through the whole process, and to completion, it was a pleasure working with Great Exteriors and Interiors LLC. They were friendly, professional, responsive, kind, helpful, communicative, and did beautiful work to replace all the windows of my house. We highly recommend this company!

My experience with Great Exterior and Interior has been more than satisfying. The work quality is excellent. The workers are professionals who know their trades and pay attention to the customer’s needs. For a couple of weeks, I had them working several projects at my house which included painting the whole house, changing all the baseboards and all electrical outlets and doing a complete remodeling of my laundry room and studio room, etc… The finish product is wonderful in addition to the consulting sessions they provide in deciding which paint to use and some specific details most people are not usually thinking about. On top of it, everyday at the end of the day they leave a clean and safe worksite that I had to live in during these two weeks.

We are very pleased with the work the Great Exteriors and Interiors team has done for us. Over the past year, they have completed several outdoor projects to include a large deck refurbishment and a large patio refurbishment. With each project, Guillermo and Hector took time to listen to our desired outcome, survey the work, and make suggestions based on their expertise and experience. In each case, they did quality work in a timely and professional manner and at a reasonable price. They will be our first call for future outdoor or indoor renovations!

I have hired other companies in the past for my other remodels and those don’t even compare to my remodel with Great Exteriors and Interiors. It is so beautiful and I could not be more happy with it. The details and their recommendations made my remodel flawless. I wish I found them years ago. You will not be disappointed with their work.

They helped us design a layout that not only looks beautiful but also makes the space so much more functional.

The quality of the workmanship really stands out—everything from the tile work to the fixtures was installed perfectly. They stayed on schedule, kept the work area clean, and communicated with us every step of the way.

We’ve already received so many compliments from friends and family. If you’re looking for a contractor who delivers excellent work and truly cares about customer satisfaction, I highly recommend them.

Hey everyone,

I recently had drywall work done at my house, and I couldn’t be happier with the results that this team performed from a Veteran owned company. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and detail-oriented. They also took the time to prep the area properly to ensure a flawless result.

The quality of the work is excellent — the seams are smooth, corners are sharp, and the walls look flawless. They even matched the existing texture perfectly, which was really important to me. Communication was also great throughout the process; they explained what they were doing, and kept me updated throughout the work.

This might be my 6th project with Great Exteriors and Interiors and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my home. Anything I need done they are very professional and get it done right the first time. It’s hard to find a contractor you trust with every aspect of your home. After some failed remodels with other companies I won’t be trusting anyone else.
Thank you for all the beautiful updates to my home.

The team at Great Exteriors and Interiors LLC have worked on four projects at my house. 1st project they installed recessed lighting in three rooms and did some minor Sheetrock repair around a casement window in the basement. The second one was a full kitchen remodel (pictured). They transformed my kitchen from a 1980’s builder grade box of kitchen into a semi-open concept classy and modern kitchen. I enjoy cooking and now have a kitchen that I love cooking in . The third project was replacing the post supporting my second story deck. And the final project was replacing my back and side fence. The work was top quality, the team was professional, and on time. Especially with the kitchen remodel, they provided me with a timeline that was reasonable and there were no delays. They provided updates and times that I should expect the various team members at my house. If times needed to change they would let me know so I would not be caught by surprise. They were also very consultive during the planning stage, providing me with options and alternative that could make the most out of space and the remodel. I will happily use them again.

They did a great job patching drywall after our electrician opened up walls and ceiling to run wires. They were professional and courteous, and the work quality was superb.

They worked with my schedule and did a great job for a decent price. We are very happy with our experience with American Aim Construction and will return for future home projects.

Dan and his crew have done an amazing job.
The workmanship is great, they took care of a big list including painting, deck power washing and stain, replacing electrical fixtures, backsplash in the kitchen, the vanities in the 2 bathrooms and other handyman tasks. It was a pleasure working with him and when we need work done in the future, he'll be the first one we call.

American Aim Construction is a top-notch construction company. I had them handle a bathroom renovation project, and their attention to detail and craftsmanship were exceptional. They communicated effectively throughout the project, ensuring I was always in the loop. The final result was a beautifully remodeled bathroom that added value to my home. If you're looking for a reliable and skilled construction team, American Aim Construction is the way to go.

I recently hired American Aim Construction to remodel my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the beginning, their team was professional, efficient, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work. They transformed my outdated kitchen into a modern, functional space that exceeded my expectations. The project was completed on time and within budget, and I highly recommend American Aim Construction for any home improvement needs.

I highly recommend working with American Aim Construction. They have done a lot of work in my home from work like painting (which looks great) and installing light fixtures to more complex jobs like redesigning my kitchen and replacing floors or removing wood paneling. They have a great, friendly team - especially Dan the owner. They are always willing to work with you on pricing and timing. I will continue to work with them for anything we need in our home.

Select Kitchen and Bath did amazing work remodeling our bathroom. The team was professional, talented and reliable. It was easy to communicate with them and they listened to our needs. They took our 1950s bathroom and upgraded it to the 21st century. The results exceeded our expectations and we could not me happier.

We hired Select Kitchen & Bath to remodel two full bathrooms. From the very beginning we knew we had made the right decision going with them. Derek, the interior decorator, helped us every step of the way in choosing the materials, fixtures, paint color, cabinets and counter tops. He knew exactly what was needed, including wall niches which we didn't even think of, and made excellent recommendations. He was always available to answer questions thru telephone or email. We were then put in touch with the project manager, John, who was also extremely helpful and professional. As an example of the level of detail the company provides, when the cabinets were delivered, John inspected them and noticed one of them had been slightly damaged. We didn't notice until he had told us that he had already ordered a replacement! During the remodel the contractor, Scott, was always on time and coordinate with us if anything needed answering. He placed floor coverings everywhere he needed to go thru to get to the bathrooms, and every day he kept a clean work area. Overall we are enjoying the bathrooms very much and extremely satisfied with the company, and the workmanship Select Kitchen & Bath provides.

We had an excellent experience working with Select for a kitchen renovation in early 2024. As part of the estimate process they took full measurements of the kitchen space and surrounding rooms to generate early renderings of the final product. The proposal was comprehensive. Once we started to make more selections the renderings improved in fidelity such that we had a very good sense of the final product prior to making the first major financial commitment (i.e., cabinet order). When the work started the crew assigned was at our house making progress every business day of the job’s duration. They protected our floors and cleaned up after themselves daily. The primary carpenter was experienced and very skilled. From our perspective the job was complex as we knocked down a load bearing wall (now supported by LVL beam), had to move multiple radiator and vent pipes, had lead paint within the walls that were being disturbed, did a wholesale replacement of everything in the kitchen (gutted to studs on all sides), and requested a continuation of hardwood flooring without transition. To complicate matters, during the old kitchen floor demo it was discovered we had asbestos tile underneath. Select’s project management team helped us navigate all of these challenges and hazards smoothly. Given the unexpected nature of the asbestos abatement they passed along the subcontractor’s estimate without a markup. The master plumber they used was also very skilled. He re-routed the steel radiator pipe runs using the appropriate heat-rated pex material. As the final product came together the experienced carpenter’s pride in his work was evident. He had an acute eye for the finer details. We are extremely happy with the finished product. From start to finish the job took just shy of 2 months. That was much to our liking.

Many thanks to Sergio for guiding me through the somewhat complicated and overwhelming process of remodeling my condominium.
He was knowledgeable in helping me select the proper fixtures and styles to update my bathroom flooring, tile, and faucets, as well as supplying the necessary personnel to facilitate the bathtub resurfacing.
Sergio also helped me select the perfect flooring with the accompanying molding and baseboards. He also coordinated with the various contractors who leant their time and talent to the project.
I recommend Sergio and his team to anyone looking to undertake those daunting first steps into the world of kitchen and bath renovation.
