Based on his good reviews, we called in Ed and his assistant Tripp to inspect our 60 year old home before deciding whether to stay or move. The inspection was extremely thorough and professional and turned up a number of findings, including a couple that were major. Ed from Atlas Home Inspection was extremely thorough and detailed in doing our 1 year home inspection. He clearly explained major and minor issues and labeled our utility shut off valves. He was very prompt in sending us the report and answered all of our questions. I strongly recommend him and won't hesitate to use Atlas for future inspections.

Ed inspected our recently purchased property. Especially this being our first home, I found his approach especially helpful. Ed was very thorough in every space, explained everything he noticed so that I could understand what the issue was and its significance. Moreover, he helped me prioritize each of the current issues to address and told me where/how to look out for potential future issues that could crop up. It was very worthwhile to have Ed inspect our place.

Ed from Atlas Home Inspection did a great job for our home inspection. He showed up early and was very thorough. He took the time to explain and teach as well. He labeled everything that had an issue with stickers and took a good amount of photos. I would recommend using Atlas to anyone who is buying a home and needs an inspection.

I was having some issues with my roof and getting conflicting reports from the insurance company and roofing contractors. Contacted Ed to get a third party unbiased opinion on the matter and I am glad I did it. Ed's expertise helped me understand exactly what the problem was and that information was key when talking to roofing contractors. I was able to understand my options and best way to move forward repairing the roof. This newly gained knowledge helped me push back to the contractors claiming that I needed a new roof, which I did not, and actually address the problem in hand.

Ed from Atlas came to my home inspection, was pleasant and friendly to work with, and most importantly did a great job walking through the condo. He offered lots of explanation as to why some things were problematic, or even offering advice on how something could become problematic in the future that was fine now. He also asked if he had missed anything or if I wanted him to take a look at anything else that I thought he missed, which was nice (he did not miss a thing, though!) I highly recommend Atlas Home Inspection, and will call Ed again in the future if we need his services.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I hired Ed to inspect an older home, based on a referral from my realtor who described Ed as an Arlington expert. As a potential first time home buyer, I was nervous and did not know what to expect, but I could not have been more pleased with the thorough job that Ed did. He answered all of my questions and explained in detail every single thing he was doing, looking at, and investigating. I truly feel like I could have paid twice the amount I did and it would have been well worth it.

Overall I can't say enough good things about working with Atlas. Ed was so great to work with. The process of setting up an appointment was easy and clear and he was able to meet our scheduling needs.

The inspection was thorough and Ed took the time to point out how to work some of the equipment in the home as well as provide guidance on recommended maintenance schedules (something our builder didn't provide). That was unexpected and a very appreciated surprise. Deficient areas were marked with blue tape and Ed took the time to explain why the item was deficient. He also worked with a running list of issues we were tracking and made sure all those were addressed as well.

The inspection report was provided less than 24 hours after the inspection and included photos, a description of the problem, the severity of the problem, and recommendations on the repair needed. Additionally, Ed provided a list of referrals who can assist us with the repairs our builder will not agree to make.

It was a great experience and I would unequivocally recommend Atlas to anyone needing a home inspection.

Never had anyone walk through and explain each issue with the house in detail! Ed also provided ways to remedy or mitigate the issue and even recommended methods or products to use to help fix the issue.
Ed is very professional and meticulous. I love that he was able to catch so many things and even gave us the ability to reach back out to him if we wanted to fix anything or have questions on the inspection report.
I would highly recommend him if you are seeking a thorough and meticulous report. The turn around time was one day.

Ed is amazing! As a first time home buyer, I'm glad I found Ed. He is very thorough and explained what he found in layman's terms as well as the risks. He readily answered any questions I had. The inspection was scheduled for around 3 hours, but it ended up taking 5 because underneath the pretty new paint and flooring, there were many concerning issues. Thanks to Ed, these were discovered before I purchased the house. I will definitely use Ed for my next inspection.

Great experience getting a home consultation from Ed. He was thorough, he was very obviously very knowledgeable and experienced, he explained things well and didn't rush anything. He made sensible recommendations, including a timeline of urgency for when things should get taken care of by. He also provided captioned photos of the items of concern. Overall a good experience and well worth the money, I expect that we will probably hire him again in the future!
