I’ve been using their lawn care service for this whole year and they’ve been awesome! I rarely leave reviews, so the fact I am doing this should tell you how good of an experience i’ve had.

I originally bought an Amazon local deal from them to use while I was on vacation. I wasn’t really expecting much considering how cheap the promotion was ($59 for a month of mowing) but they didn’t skimp at all! I wasn’t planning on continuing after the deal but they did such a great job I figured I would continue. Now they come on a biweekly basis and my lawn looks better each time. I finally gave away my lawn mower and I would like to thank LawnStarter for giving me hours of my life back now that I don’t have to worry about my lawn care.

I've never ordered lawn care service until now. I've been in college the last couple of years, but since moving to D.C. for law school, I wanted to start doing responsible things, i.e. acting like an adult.

However, I'm lazy (meaning I'm too busy for any extra work). I certainly don't want to mow my lawn (I don't think I would know how to mow my lawn). So I wanted to hire somebody to do it. I didn't want somebody sketchy, though. LawnStarter had good reviews, so I thought I'd check them out.

I got on the phone and they swiftly scheduled my first lawn care service for like 2 days out. Not the cheapest out there, but not a bad price, and I'd rather have better service so I don't have to worry about it down the line. The first job they did was perfect, and I didn't have to coordinate anything!

It's easy to change up your account to, which is awesome with D.C.'s bipolar weather. If it rains a bunch, I can schedule extra service, and I can delay service if I want too.

For my first time scheduling my own lawn care services, I feel like I lucked out. It's super easy, which, for a busy law school student, is all I ask. 5 stars.

I just moved to the DC area and was in search for a lawn mowing service. I found LawnStarter via word of mouth and went through their online estimation process.

After I checked out they called (took them like 5 minutes) to schedule the appointment. I must say that I didnt know what to expect since i had not ever gotten lawn care service before, but they were certainly polite and were able to service my lawn that week.

They have done a great job every time they come, and I definitely like not having to deal with it. Also they accept credit cards which is super nice, considering my other home service providers will only accept cash. Recently they started sending emails when lawn service is rescheduled, which is nice that I am actually kept in the loop.

When it comes down to it, the quality of work and the convenience of not having to deal with yard work makes ordering service through them 100% worth it. Thanks guys!

LawnStarter was a non-starter. I was leaving for a business trip and wanted to get the lawn mowed before I left. I made my first appt with them and they promised to send a crew to my house to get it done by the time I was to leave. Without telling me, they cancelled my appt and rescheduled for the following week when I would be gone. I had to call them to find this out. Not only that, I would have to pay a lot more for the mow because the grass would have grown beyond 6 inches. This is my first experience with LawnStarter and they have proved to be unreliable. They wasted my time.
Update: Now, finally, after 11 months they respond. Seriously?

Great service, i can yap into so many different services that require minimum coordination from my part.

Use this company if you want to hire a company to cut your grass but end up doing it yourself. Terrible reliability - no shows - endless excuses - I hired them for the 2022 cutting season after 1 cut they kept cancelling as my grass grew longer. I terminated service and just did it myself. Gave them a second chance this year 2023 - again 1 cut and 4 excuses and pushed off two weeks. Im terminating service permanently. This company is all talk and show with their app but the absolute worst in customer service. AVOID - there are many other options.

They provide excellent customer service, are very professional, and take great care of the lawn with their treatments.

Manny is quick and courteous. His team does an amazing job and he communicates any changes in a timely manner.

Horrible customer support. I’ve called 4times today, spoke to two different people they transferred me twice. Got left on hold for over 15 min each time in a line with no music no message saying you are still helping others. No way to get out of it to leave message. The other times I called I was not able to get anyone in line at all just a air after you click an option. I’ve tried multiple options etc. I tried to purchase additional lawn care for a friend who was using your service who is dealing with a very ill child and cannot take care of lawn. You lost their business

I have had nothing but a great experience with Lawn Starter services. They have been very professional and continue to do great work at every visit. I feel very confident that when an appointment is set that they will do their best to be there. Of course mother nature is mother nature and things can change, but I have had them directly contact me to let me know that they have rescheduled due to the weather. They have informed me to changes and never leave me in the dark. I appreciate their work and services and will continue to use them.

After graduation, I moved to the Washington D.C. area for a full time job. In addition, I balance a vibrant social life with several yoga and cooking classes per week, so I'm too busy to take care of my lawn! My co-worker Rachael recommended this new company, LawnStarter. I went to their website and got a quote, and it seemed decently priced, so I took a chance and contracted lawn care through them for that week.

They called me to set up an appointment, which we set up for two days out. The service that week was awesome, and I liked how the representatives walked me through the process. It was a lot more effortless than other local providers.

Another big benefit of LawnStarter compared to other options is the lack of effort I need to put in. I really don't need to do anything, which is great, because I want to focus on my work and my yoga, not my lawn. It's easy to change up the service through their software too.

Overall, I have no complaints. Great work!

Darrel from KLS lawn service has cut my lawn twice now. He shows up as scheduled, takes his time and leaves my lawn looking good.

Not all the lawn specialist on this app are very good or listened to your concerns some of them will drop you if you make a complaint however Guadalupe is awesome he does everything he shows up when he's supposed to I don't have to ask him to cut something he was supposed to cut it's great
