We retained Northern Virginia Landscaping for 2 projects. One project was a major renovation and expansion of our patio. The other project involved improving the drainage on the side of the house. It was a pleasure to work with them on both projects. They provided reasonable estimates, undertook both projects in a timely manner and completed the work to our complete satisfaction. Unlike some other contractors that we have worked with, Northern Virginia Landscaping was totally professional, responsive and on time. We will most definitely use them again if we have landscaping projects. We highly, highly recommend them. They are great to work with in every way.

We've hired Northern Virginia Landscaping for several outdoor projects at our home to include installing a new patio, rainwater drainage, and installing plantings throughout our front/back yards. Ibi and his team have always been a pleasure to work with; they are responsive, friendly, and honest! Recently, we needed some overgrown plants/trees removed and new plantings installed. Ibi's team was able to get a design together and installed a week earlier than we expected! We couldn't be happier with the quality of the work and plantings they selected for our home.

So thankful we found Northern Virgina Landscaping! We needed our very first landscaping job done and were very nervous to trust someone to get the job done. Kenesi came and talked us through the entire project, then Victor, Kevin, and Noel came and executed it! Everyone was so friendly, answered any questions we had, and came back immediately when something needed to get fixed. We plan to use them for future projects for sure!

We had Northern Virginia Landscaping repair two patios and replace an old, damaged brick patio with a concrete slab. The job took just over five days. The crew was on time each day, completed the daily jobs, and left the site clean before returning for the next day. Kenesi, the project manager, was thorough with his proposal and explained to us what our options were to complete the project. I would hire NVL again for my next landscaping/hardscaping project.

I contacted Northern Virginia landscaping to get an estimate for some landscaping work at my backyard. Kenesi called me to get more details and later he set up some time to visit my house. He was very professional and respectful, after understanding our needs, he provided me a few options and I agreed to go with one of the options.
Due to weather they were running a bit late and they informed about that which was great in terms of setting the expectations. A few weeks later Kensei and his team arrived to execute the work. His crew were very professional, hardworking and ensured to clean everything when they were done. I enjoyed working with them and I will ask for their help again if I have more work in the future. We had a large scale project that involved replacing our entire back yard (grading, landscaping, planting, and sod) as well as both sides of our house, prep work for a shed, and adding drainage. In all aspects of the planning Northern VA provided multiple options to best tailor to our needs as well as provided excellent and professional guidance. There were multiple times when they provided me an alternative option that would more effectively accomplish what I was seeking while also saving money because they truly had our best interest in mind. We're thrilled with our yard space and were really pleased to work with them. I've recommended them to multiple neighbors already, and would suggest them to anyone looking for a great company to work with.

We just used Northern Virginia Landscaping to get sod installed in your yard. We originally had a very large tree that was removed and the roots were everywhere in the yard. We also had a previous vegetable garden that we wanted to replace with sod. For a very fair price Northern Virginia Landscaping came in and prepared the soil (removed patches, put down soil, sand and lime to help establish the roots), and laid sod down in the yard - about 800 square feet. The guys did an excellent job, were courteous, cleaned up, and were extremely efficient. Would highly recommend them and plan on using them again for other work.

We’ve had a great experience with Kenesi and the crews of NoVa Landscaping. They had some innovative drainage solutions, built a hot tab pad along with some regular landscaping and clean up. They turned around estimates quickly, got us on their schedule in a timely manner and communicated well throughout the project(s). Highly recommend.

During the initial consult, Ibi was very thoughtful and patient during the design process and promptly answered all questions. He was also not the "pushy salesman" and allowed us plenty of time to make our decision.

Throughout the installation, Kenesi kept a constant line of communication and kept us well informed of progress, timelines and updates. He was always available to answer any questions that came up and went out of his way to ensure we were happy before, during and after the conclusion of the project.

Marco and his crew worked diligently to install the patio. He and his team were incredibly respectful of the property, were friendly and skilled in installing the patio in a timely manner.

I recently hired Northern Virginia Landscaping due to some severe drainage issues that we had going on for quite a while. Their process was super simple and their team is very knowledgeable. To make it simple we had other companies come out and suggest major drainage systems that needed to be installed around our yard. Northern Virginia Landscaping did an excellent job on a number of projects at our house. The initial consultation was super helpful in determining the size, shape, and design of a paver patio, but they also helped to determine how we could improve some drainage issues in our yard. The patio came out beautifully and the job was done faster than expected. The crew was exceptional and were very accommodating to some last minute changes. We also had a shed pad installed, and when it didn't come out quite right at first, the team worked tirelessly to get everything fixed prior to our shed installation. We really enjoyed working with Northern Virginia Landscaping on our recent project. The owner Ibi came to our house twice to review the project and ensure he understood what we were looking for in our design when we changed the project scope. I appreciate the communication from the entire team, especially Ana and Kenesi. I had multiple people I could reach out to with any questions or concerns, and I was never left wondering. In addition, when miss utility mismarked our cable line, the team quickly addressed it and kept in constant communication. The project came out wonderful and it was exactly what we were hoping for. They are a company I trust and would use again for future projects.

Had them do some medium sized work burying sump pump and downspout piping. Was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. In the initial meeting with Ibi, we walked through the project should and plan and he was full of helpful input. Never had any issues with project alignment or miscommunication. The project was delayed a few times due to the crazy amount of snow this winter, but ultimately they were able to come with an extra team and completed the work in one day instead of three. The work itself was done quite well and exactly as we had originally discussed. Just overall a wonderful experience. Will definitely use them again for any jobs in the area.

We had a large landscaping project we needed to complete after having foundation repairs completed on our house. We originally had scheduled our normal landscaper to do the work but were surprised by how high the quote was, which led us to begin looking around. Northern Virginia Landscaping came in more than $1000 cheaper (nearly 25%) the quote I received from the other company and got us on the schedule very quickly. The weather didn't cooperate for a while, but Kenesi stayed in regularly contact with me to ensure we could get it done. When we finally found a small window to make it work, they came out immediately, and the final work looked great.

The Northern Virginia Landscaping team does great work and has been an easy team to work with -- from scheduling a walk through of two projects - one straightforward, and the other a more complex one. The proposals came back promptly, and any questions asked were also handled quickly. Ibi also investigated the source of erosion that has been occuring and identified buried pipes from the downspots that were broken. The team doing a spring clean up and the installation of a small flagstone patio did a fantastic job, and left the area neat and clean!
