The crew is always cheerful and efficient, and the work is done well. My only suggestion for improvement would be that it would be very helpful if we knew approximately when the crew was going to arrive. Even "morning or afternoon" would be helpful. Otherwise, no problems.

These folks are great. Excellent value. My house always looks and smell so clean and fresh after Merry Maid comes out. Marlen and her team rocks!!!!

The team swoops in and not only cleans our home but makes us feel cared for with the little touches like how they arrange the pillows on the couch or fold the blankets. The team truly contributes to making our house feel like a home.

Usually I have no issues but I did ask the maids to wash the wood floors this time (I don’t have them wash only dry mopped in the past) and they did not wash. Maybe they misunderstood me but other then that everything was fine.

I am always blown away with how amazing the house looks. Elena and Escarlet do such a fantastic job, and they are always so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Called Merry Maids to hire/clean my mothers home in Virginia and I am located in California. Merry Maids was so attentive to detail and listened to the services my mom needed done, provided me options and clear on costs. Scheduling was easy and I loved receiving real time status of arrival and departure- especially being across the country. This made it easy to call my mom and let her know exactly when they would arrive and their names.
The cleaning was perfection- each room was thorough and detailed. My mom was so excited and pleased- she quickly sent me photos of her kitchen with sparkles coming through!

Marlen is the best. She has cleaned our house for over 15 years and we are very satisfied with our experience with her. Thorough and reliable, we would love to have her every week that she is available.

Hired them for a move-out clean. We spent hours cleaning after they were done. The toilets were not cleaned at all and the kitchen cabinets were a hit and miss. Maybe since they know the person hiring them won’t be around to see the results, they couldn’t care less about doing the job they were hired to do. Not sure the reason but the quality of their work was unacceptable. I would never hire them.

4/13/2023 Update: Added an additional star after the owner contacted me. Lindsey gave me a call shortly after this review went up and profusely apologized for the experience. I was under the impression I had been working with the Fairfax location since I had cancelled the Fairfax number to schedule my cleaning. She offered a full comp of our bill, which I really appreciated, and was the human touch I was hoping to receive for an experience like this. I'll likely give them another try in the future when we decide on a cleaning again.

We had hired Merry Maids of Fairfax a year prior for a cleaning and was extremely impressed with the result, so we hired them again for a spring clean. The staff was very kind, but we noticed after they left that they hadn't thoroughly swept under our table (dog hair stuck to the chair legs), the windows weren't wiped, and the floors weren't mopped. We also elected to have the fridge and oven cleaned (which cost extra) and the services weren't completed. I sent pictures via email to customer service to let them know there were some spots missed and filled out both customer surveys that were sent letting them know we wanted to hear back. Nearly $300 for only sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting our two bedroom, 1.5 bath home is steep.

I followed up three times over three weeks via email and phone and only heard back after I told them we were disappointed with the service overall and that we had considered rebooking monthly until this experience. Jackie called five minutes later and apologized for the three week delay, saying she was on vacation, and asked if we wanted to schedule our next cleaning. At that point, we genuinely felt like they don't care after the credit card is processed. Jackie insisted someone responded to our first email and I told her we wouldn't be this upset if we had heard back at all. She forwarded the response, which was an internal response from one team member to another... not to us. No one responded to our missed call or to the email that was sent after their internal email. She told us that they have a 72-hour guarantee to clean areas that were missed, but that would have been nice to know three weeks ago. They did not offer any kind of refund, re-cleaning, or incentive to come back. They're great when they do it right, but don't expect customer service if something goes wrong. We weren't going to post a review initially, but that phone call left SUCH a terrible taste with us.

I have had my home cleaned by Merry Maids for several years. The cleaners do a thorough job and always are efficient in how they use their time. I also find the cleaners to be very friendly and nice. I highly recommend Merry Maids. I currently have Team #7, Escarlet Mejia and Elena Mejia. This mother and daughter team are lovely and work so well together. I especially like that they are willing to come early at 7:30 am which happens to be the best time for us. I’m very happy as a Merry Maid customer and recommend you ask for this team of professional housekeepers.
