Reviews of local pros in Chantilly, Virginia

Davey took down a large dead tree on our hillside. It was done in a very professional manner. There was a follow up visit at their instigation to replace the mulch which was taken out by the equipment and reseed any grass that was affected. Now we don’t have to worry about it falling on our house!

Chris, Andrew, and Preston did a great job for me. They had excellent equipment to include a bucket that allowed them to quickly complete the job. I definitely recommend Chris Reppert who is an arborist. Thank you!

We first used Davey to evaluate the health of our weeping willow tree. They did a deep root treatment plus corrective treatments for Rust. That was many years ago and the tree is doing well. Most recently we used them to remove several deer-damaged shrubs and plantings and a large tree toppled by a storm.

Their arborists and their crews are very knowledgeable and we will continue to use their services.

I've been going to Davey for major tree services for a few years now. They are always prompt and professional. The arborist, Tig Kabia, is absolutely the best. He is a true subject matter expert through and through. During the walk-thru and estimate, he displayed a keen interest in my yard and genuinely wanted to satisfy my needs. The team was fantastic as well. In addition to the pruning job I had left a rather large pile of limbs and brush from some of my bushes and they gladly collected them to throw in the chipper. This undoubtedly saved me a few trips to the landfill and I am forever grateful for their excellent services. They definitely went above and beyond to help me out, and I truly appreciate that! Thanks very much!

Great customer service! Our Davey Tree rep, Derek McDaniel, was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He took the time to discuss some options for our tree removal decisions, and made sure that all work was done exactly as quoted, for a reasonable price, on time, and with great care for our property.

Davey is to go place for me for tree pruning and yard maintenance.
They are responsive and ethical.

Extremely knowledgeable, helpful advice. Crew arrived on time, performed trimming and cleanup professionally. Service charge did not exceed quote and was just right considering expertise, equipment and professionalism Davey Tree delivered. I highly recommend Davey Tree to other homeowners.

The Davey Tree Expert Company did an excellent job providing great tree service to our property. Special thanks to Derek and to Lisa for their responsiveness to our questions and for providing a very detailed explanation on how they were going to accomplish tree trimming, tree pruning, cabling, bracing, and the planting of a very beautiful Willow Oak in our front yard. Derek is a very communicative arborist; he thoroughly educated us on our trees both in the front and the back of our lawn. When it came time to clean up for the tree trimming and pruning, Davey Tree's crew cleaned up meticulously. Thanks again for a very pleasant experience!

Very professional job did by Davey Tree! They came on time, used the highest machines and tools, and cleaned up the area after finished removing the tree. I highly recommend this company for anyone interested in tree experts. They really are experts!!

My wife and I were very impressed with the Davey crew today as they trimmed multiple trees, removed a large hedge of Leylands, and ground the stumps. Everyone was very professional and courteous and appeared to work safely and efficiently to finish all of our tree work on time and as expected.

We were especially impressed with Mike, the man who performed the stump grinding services. He was extremely professional and courteous, making sure all grinding work was completed to our satisfaction. He was also very thorough in cleaning up and provided instructions for watering the new grass seed he put down in a few of the muddy areas in our lawn.

The Davey people are wonderful! They are so knowledgeable and helpful. Crews are prompt and hard-working—from digging to planting to cleaning up!

Contacted Davey initially to have a big oak removed. After meeting with Cory, we asked for an estimate for lawn treatments/care and tree/shrub care. We were very impressed with Cory's knowledge and responsiveness to our concerns. We have since contracted with them and have been very happy with their consistency of services. Hunter takes care of trees and shrubs and always does a thorough job. I do my own gardening so I pay attention. Very pleased with everything.

Mason McKay was a pleasure to speak with. He was very professional, friendly and courteous. After speaking with him, I’m confident that Davey Tree can handle any job and achieve great results.

Welvin and his team from Davey did an excellent job at trimming and shaping multiple trees in our yard. Branches were cut back from the roof of our home and the crepe myrtles were trimmed and shaped for controlled growth. They are doing a great job at keeping a new dogwood alive and helping it begin to thrive.
We are quite pleased with the job that Welvin and his Davey team did for us.

I had used Davey Tree service before, but it had been a couple of years since they were last on my property. At that time, a tree had been damaged in a recent storm and was leaning. Davey told me the tree was dead, and advised letting them cut the top of it off. The price was reasonable, so I agreed. Afterward, I was told that the tree would, eventually fall and that, when it did, there would be no property damage and to call them again if I wanted it cut up and hauled away. Fast forward to the heavy rains in this area not so long ago. Sure enough, the tree slowly fell to rest between my neighbor's fence and my wife's garden! I had a couple of smaller trees I needed cutting down as well. I called Davey, and they immediately sent Welvin to give me an estimate, which I readily accepted. There was one hitch, however. I was in the middle of a house renovation involving two other vendors, so it was a question of timing being everything. Welvin managed to schedule my tree removal for the one day that was free. I have always been impressed by this company. They are professionals; well trained, responsive to customer needs, and - as far as I am concerned - entirely reasonable. I would - and have - recommended them on occasion. They are trustworthy. I am completely relaxed when I know they are handling my tree problems. Davey employees clearly communicate what they are going to do for you. You do not have to "ride herd" on them and waste energy you need for other things.

I recently had some work done to several trees in my property, and my experience with Davey Tree Dulles was excellent. My initial encounter was with Chris the arborist and he was very informative and helpful in answering all my questions and concerns regarding the type of service that I was looking for: on the 14 of Aprile, " Dale, Deshawn and Andrew " came to my property to work on my trees , what a fantastic and knowledgeable team , they went above and beyond my expectations. The work was done right, and my trees look fantastic; they reached out to me several times asking if I was happy with the work, they suggested some minor changes to the original plan which in the end delivered a better result. When they were done my propriety looked amazed. Dale, Deshawn and Andrew ensure everything was perfect. Incredible service!
Thanks

I needed a big oak tree pruned and Davey's team was great, starting from Tig, who came to inspect the property and tree and assessed what needed to be done. He sent rates within 24 hours and once I accepted the contract, the crew was performing the work a few days later. Scheduling was easy process. The crew was very professional and left my property very clean. I am very pleased. I definitely recommend and will reuse their services

Professional team, very careful with their heavy equipment to make sure they didn't scuff or gouge the brand new street that had been newly paved and was still soft. Took care of the downed tree with care to protect the car it had landed on. Much appreciate!

Did a great job trimming and removing two trees. Cleaned up well and no damage to lawn. Would hire again.

Davey Tree Company has worked on our "enchanted forest" for about 20 years, unfortunately mostly taking down dead oak trees. The representatives of the company have all been very friendly and responsive to our needs in a timely fashion. Pricing has been a determining factor in many cases, timing in others. Workers are skilled at maneuvering trees coming down from damaging surrounding plantings.

Mason McKay was very responsive and helped to diagnose our tree problem.
It was refreshing to have emails responded to in a timely manner. Thank you!!
