Constraction reviews in Chesapeake, Virginia

We went with Jerry Harris Remodeling for our Sun room addition (which also included changing out windows in our Master to accommodate the new roof line, as well as replacing the double doors at the back of our home and replacing some floor where the old door had leaked). They were very accommodating of our desires and incorporated them into the design. Excellent communication throughout the entire experience by the entire team. Their attitude the whole time was always, "If there's a problem, we'll make it right", and they came through in spades. They also managed to stay on budget despite a few changes that were made during construction! 😀 We are very pleased with the work, and happily recommend them for any of your remodel needs.

Exceeded expectations for direct ship cabinets! We wanted a Waypoint dealer and did not have one in our area so I took a gamble and ordered direct ship with Jerry Harris Remodeling since he had such great reviews. Not only did they make our remodel a reality, but they came in 38% cheaper than a ½ dozen other estimates. We had two cabinets swapped out with minor flaws, no charge and received within a week. The designer covered the unexpected by ordering several filler pieces for us so I could have flawless custom final product. Cabinets are GORGEOUS and complete the mid-century modern look I was going for. My wife and I are very pleased and highly recommend.

Professional and High-Quality Contractors allowed us to enjoy the process and not stress over the remodel project. Jerry Harris delivered a stunning addition to our home and Our Contractor Chris was always friendly and available for us throughout the whole build. He deserves six stars!

Jerry Harris and his team did an awesome job for me!!! I live in a condo and so that presented additional challenges for my project - but Jerry's entire team was professional!!! They worked efficiently and as quickly as they could. The follow-up has been great1 I was given a 5 - year guarantee for their work - and sure enough, through the five years there have been little things like caulk that settled, or a nail pop here and there and they were right on top of it! I would highly recommend them!

Jerry and his team are amazing! They helped rebuild a portion of our home after finding major damage and did so with great care. I’d highly recommend them to my friends and family. They worked with us to come up with a great design while remaining true to the original architecture. Their PMs and craftsmen are top notch, and made the whole process very easy and enjoyable.

This is the best company in Hampton Roads, you can’t go wrong.

We had called several contractors to get a quote to update our kitchen. We had worked with Jerry Harris Remodeling before to fix another "contractors" work and while they were not the cheapest they had the reputation and genuineness we felt comfortable with. There were a few bumps along the way but none of them were from Jerry Harris' team but their vendors. While I would have preferred a schedule or timeline of the work so I could be prepared (WFH w/ pets) they were very communicative and kept us updated with everything. Everyone was very nice and didn't show their annoyance with all my questions or indecision when picking out pieces. Our kitchen is beautiful and we will definitely be calling them again with future work.

We have used Jerry Harris Remodeling for two major projects at our home; remodeling our upstairs bathrooms and repairing and updating our living room wall. On both occasions the professionalism and expertise shown by Jerry and his personnel was quite evident. Constant communication helped us stay aware of the status of the projects. Jerry's team leaders were on site constantly ensuring we were satisfied with the progress of the work. The level of work detail was amazing. Workers took great care to ensure the workplace was cleaned up daily and that tools and materials were stored properly. They wore booties to reduce wear and tear on our floors. After job completion, Jerry himself or his team lead would ensure we were satisfied with the work. I would not hesitate to recommend Jerry and his folks for any project. When I need work done I know who to call, Jerry Harris Remodeling.

Superb service all around. Converted a standard bathroom to handicap access with a walk-in shower. Every detail
Of this project was handled with exceptional professionalism. The attention to detail was remarkable. Overall quality of the job equally impressive. The Harris team has their act together at all times. From the owner to the Job Manager to every person who touches this project we were impressed. We recently had Jerry Harris change out 19 windows for
Is as well. Equally superb project management and work accomplishment. They do the work as though they were remodeling their own home. Recommend most highly for home improvement or remodeling
Projects. The quality speaks for
Itself.

Jerry Harris Remodeling redid our Master Bathroom and did an absolutely fantastic job. From their incredibly detailed design process with 3-D life-like drawings of the planned finished product (under the superb supervision of Mr. Chris Williams) to the timeliness of the project completion and exceptional project Management (expertly led by Mr Cord Whitley and Mr. Don Landle), they beat the competition hands down! They take pride in their work and are able to do anything to ensure customer satisfaction. Our project was done on time as promised and on cost! You can't go wrong with this company. The outcome of the project was perfect. We are extremely happy with the results!

We hired Jerry Harris to install 2 lvl beams in our family room to replace 2 load bearing columns. While it doesn’t sound that hard, it was quite the project and we had several companies who did not even want to give us a bid after reviewing the structural engineering plans. We ended up getting estimates from approximately 5 other companies. While Jerry Harris was not the cheapest, we really liked their overall process. We’ve done many renovations before, and it was important that we were kept informed of the progress, any issues, etc. during the duration of the project. From the start, you have an initial meeting with the individuals who are going to be in charge of your project. Our project manager was Rusty, and he was a pleasure to work with. He always kept us informed of what would be happening everyday/who would be showing up to do the various work. He was very responsive to any questions we had and quick to address concerns. Like any project, nothing ever goes 100% smoothly, but we were happy with how issues were handled. We were emailed a progress report every Friday, which showed us exactly what was left to be done and the expected dates they would be finished. Prior to final payment, we did a thorough walk through and were able to make a final checklist of any items we felt needed to be done prior to them wrapping up for good. They completed every single item on the checklist in a very timely manner. Additionally, they do very solid work. They do not cut corners and the quality of their work shows in the end project. Overall, they are a very well run company, very professional and easy to work with. We would definitely use them again.

A sincere thank you to Jerry Harris Remodeling for their exceptionally quality workmanship and superb all-around service. The results were better than we could have ever imagined! This was our first time associated with Jerry Harris and it was truly a memorable one; new beautiful hallway bathroom, repaired and repainted living room ceiling with ceiling fan, and a new garage door. Every detail of the overall project was managed professionally and with care by an impressive, customer-oriented staff, through continuous communication and updated work schedules. The project was completed on time and budget. Thank you again!

Jerry Harris was a great company to work with. They made my whole home renovation project easy to do while I was out-of-state. They informed me weekly of the progress and reached out if they encountered any hiccups for my inputs. I highly recommend anyone who's thinking about doing a big project to consider Jerry Harris.

We chose Jerry Harris Remodeling to remodel the shower in our master bath. We wanted the standard insert pulled out and replaced with a tiled shower. They did an amazing job! Everyone we worked with was extremely professional and listened to what we were looking for. The communication was outstanding! We always knew when they would be working and what they would be working on. They always arrived on time as promised. On one occasion we had a meeting scheduled and Jerry called to say that he would be late, but he was close. He ended up being only 3 minutes late; that’s how attentive this business is. The craftsmanship of the work done was also stellar. We couldn’t be happier with the final product and will definitely use Jerry Harris Remodeling again in the future.

We remodeled our large master bath with Jerry Harris Remodeling and we couldn’t be happier. To start with, this was not a remodel we planned for, our 30 year old tile and fiberglass failed and we found ourselves with water dripping through the downstairs ceiling. I had heard great things about Jerry Harris from my neighbors so I thought I would get a quote — that quote was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Jerry’s construction knowledge is apparent immediately and he’s extremely easy to talk to. He gave me advice, let me know what the process would entail and then explained what products he uses. From start to finish, Jerry and his team made the process easy and seamless. This is the fourth house we have owned and Jerry’s team is by far the most professional we have ever seen. From the most up to date and technically advanced products used to the pride his company has in a job well done, every step of our remodel exceeded our expectations. Having experienced a Jerry Harris remodel, we wouldn’t trust our home to anyone else. Our project manager, project leader, designer and even the office staff kept us on budget and on time. We will enjoy our amazing bathroom for years to come and we are currently planning our kitchen remodel with Jerry Harris Remodeling. The best thing you can do for your property value is to have Jerry and his team of professionals improve your home!!

Jerry Harris remodeling did a fantastic job! I had 2 room addition to my house and they did exactly what was originally planned. They were very professional and friendly. I had the peace of mind that my house is safe every time they come in to do some work when I am not around which was the most important thing to me, safety of my family. We encountered a couple of problems but they fixed it right away. They also helped me with my budget, very honest with me. The quality of their work was exceptional. Interior and exterior looks really good and matched my house perfectly. I highly recommend this company!

We had a very positive experience with JHR. Chris and Melody came up with a beautiful design of our backyard deck and patio using composite decking, stamped concrete, and stone knee wall and outdoor fireplace. Rusty executed the plan nicely. As with most projects, there were delays in the project plan due to various reasons, but we are very pleased with the end product and highly recommend their services.

This is a fantastic company to contract with for remodeling. From initial contact to completion, their team stayed on task and coordinated with their subs. My project included painting the entire interior, installing LVT in 2 bathrooms, installing cabinets in the laundry room, reversing a door, and a complete remodel of the master bathroom shower. Cord Whitley, Project Manager, stayed on top of all the subs, resolved any problems the arose, and worked around my vacation. The results far exceeded my expectations. You get what you pay for. My sincere thanks to the entire Jerry Harris Remodeling Team!! You have my future business.

This is actually my second kitchen remodel with Jerry Harris. We had such a good experience with them the first time, we were excited to use them when we moved.

Cord and Marcus were very easy to work with and they enjoyed seeing the wildlife in the yard 😊. Thanks to their determination, they were able to complete the project earlier than anticipated!

Even though it is a crazy time of year for my job, they were very respectful of my time and always gave me updates on where the project was and what next steps were.

The tilers were amazing and had quite job with this remodel. Everyone who worked the project was professional and did a job well done.

Oh and I can't forget my creative designers Katlyn and Chris! Katlyn graciously joined us as we made decisions and understood the vision in my head of what I wanted. I am pretty sure she was just excited to see it come to fruition as we were.

Jerry Harris is a great remodeling company. When I had my first meeting with Chris, he went over the entire project, set up meetings and it all went smoothly. They are professional, always on time and inform me of daily/weekly assigned work being done. I am very happy with my room addition and added master bathroom. The design team - Melody is on spot with her designs, she is a true professional about her work. My project manager - Bernie was a professional and always on time from the start to the end on my project. I will definitely refer this company to anyone who needs remodeling done on their home.

Jerry Harris Remodeling completely transformed our 90's cookie cutter master bathroom into a modern Bathroom of our dreams. I highly recommend their overall quality of work and professionalism.

Great planning & design on our bathroom remodels. The whole process was easy & great communication from the start of the planning to the end result with our Project Manager.
