Constraction reviews in Chesapeake, Virginia

Castle Drywall did a fantastic job on a few drywall repairs we needed completed. Seth and Brian were very professional. I would highly recommend Castle Drywall!

Lisa helped schedule the estimate and the appointment for the work to be done. Paul and crew were prompt, efficient, diligent, and did a great job cleaning up their workspace. Above all, Lisa & Paul were excellent communicators, very prompt in returning phone calls, and fulfilled their commitment in the timeframe they promised.

We are so please with the work that was done by Castle Drywall. When we had to get our house repiped to remove quest pipes, Paul’s crew was so professional, hardworking and precise patching up all the ugly holes. They made everything look seamless, even matching the plaster swirls. Their painter George came on his day off to finish painting so everything could dry before our movers came. Really fantastic crew and a very fair price for the scope of the project. We would be happy to recommend them or give them our business again.

Had a cracked and falling ceiling that needed replacement. Was able to give me an estimate on a timely basis and with a comparable price. Empties out the room and they had the old ceiling demoed and the new ceiling in place in one day. They found some issues with my insulation and my walls and helped me out with both while they were in there. Had a few concerns initially, but those were resolved with a good discussion with the owner and he made sure everything was done right and to my satisfaction. End result came out great and now I don't have to look at a cracked popcorn ceiling. Will be hiring again for future drywall work my house will need in the future.

2 professional men arrived on time and worked great together. From the prep, repair of ceiling, popcorn removal and to the clean up, the two day job went smoothly.
The painter and crew was also great.
I highly recommend Castle Drywall.

Cody did phenomenal work throughout my house! He changed the texture of my whole house from plaster to knockdown, and a bedroom from plaster to smooth. I wanted to do away with a custom bookshelf and now you would never know it was there! Highly recommend!

Caste Drywall team was fantastic. Responsive, fairly priced, and quality work. Cody and Jacob did a great job!

Brian and Seth did a fantastic job! Their work was completed quickly and Is Very professional. The The plaster work is spectacular. We love all work that’s done by Castle Drywall & Plaster!!! Thank you!

Someone stepped on my ceiling drywall from the attic. I tried to fix it by myself, but the scar eges along the cracks were very visible on the knockdown ceiling. Brian and Seth came to fix the problem. They put a wood support in the attic, screw the damaged drywall to the wood support, plaster the ceiling, and spread the knockdown pattern. When it is done, the ceiling looks like a whole piece without any damage. They also protected the surroundin. My clothing in the closet were fine. Very professional. Highly recommend them for knockdown wall repairs.

Cody did a phenomenal job! There was an unexpected obstacle due to a plumber issue from a different company and he made it looks seamless and perfect. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

This is the second time we have had Castle Drywall and Plaster out to do work in the house as we were incredibly pleased with the first job. Today’s work was minor patches in several spots. Brian and Seth were incredibly efficient while doing excellent work. They also ensured any dust or chips were cleaned up before they left.

I would like to thank castle drywall for the awesome job they did in my bathroom. They repair a hole that needed drywall. The two gentlemen that came and did it was very nice. When they finished everything was cleaned. If you need any drywall done I recommend castle drywall. Thank you castle drywall for a awesome job.

Lisa is a gem. Whole team was responsive from scheduling, to feedback of work while onsite (I’m very picky and they promptly took note/fixed), great cleanup. Tenant was happy with the repair and pricing was very fair. Would use their services again. Thanks again!

D.J showed up ready to work, very pleasant attitude, did a excellent job in our bathroom. Made sure floors was covered with plastic and taped down, clean up after was great. Will use this company in the future.

We were very pleased with the work done for us by Cody and Jacob. They were professional and focused on the job at hand. Careful to protect the area where they were working as well as the floor space going in and out. They cleaned up everything when they were done. We were pleased with the result and highly recommend this company to others.

I couldn’t be happier with the customer service provided and their work. My husband contacted Castle and they were responsive and followed through with promises. I was concerned about repairs being done to knockdown plaster because I didn’t think it would ever blend with the rest of the plaster…I was wrong…The transition is flawless.

Castle Drywall repaired a hole in an interior wall. DJ arrived promptly and did an excellent repair. He has many years of experience and it shows. The repair is undetectable. In addition he is a very pleasant gentleman. The office staff was excellent to work with.

DJ and Seth drywalled our bathroom and were excellent. They were kind, professional, tidy, efficient and knowledgeable. We’ve done a lot of remodeling and they were some of the nicest and easiest contractors to work with. We are super happy with the end product and will use them again in the future.

I had water damage on the Popcorn Ceiling in two locations from the Quest Pipping leaks in the attic. One of the workers DJ was working on my neighbors house and I asked DJ for a business card to get an estimate on some repair work. Paul came out to review the job and to figure out a estimate. Lisa called me with the amount for the repair work and emailed me the paperwork to review. Cody and Jacob came out to replace a bad section of the ceiling drywall and to resurface two locations with new popcorn for the ceiling. They also smooth out a bummy plaster job to make it even with the rest of the wall. Cody and Jacob working for Castle Drywall & Plaster did an outstanding job with a good clean up after they finished the repair work. I am very pleased with Cody and Jacob's work.

BLUF: Was left without an estimate for a week, and communication was poor. When an estimate was finally sent, the work description was wrong and the cost was incredibly high. I believe they never wanted our business. Do not recommend for an estimate.

My family and I wanted to get the walls in our home repaired/retextured and painted. Castle Drywall & Plaster were one of 3 contractors we called and scheduled appointments with. A gentleman named Brian (IIRC) came in and was courteous and professional, answered our questions, and seemed like the company would be a good fit, depending on price.

We waited several days for an estimate before reaching out to check on the status. Texts and emails were sent and we were left with the impression they were waiting on Brian, who was out of town/office recently, but It still never came.

When we asked again for the estimate, or an explanation on why they didn't want the project, we were told by the clerk/receptionist (assumption), Lisa, that she was typing it up right then and there.

That estimate came in at $10k, compared to two other estimates of $3.5k and $4.5k. Additionally, details like which ceilings would be painted were completely wrong.

I am not sure if our job wasn't big enough, if they thought we wouldn't be able to afford it, or they thought we wouldn't pick them anyways, but we will be giving someone else a few thousand dollars instead. My wife and I really thought this would be our pick...

I do not recommend you even call them for an estimate.

When I was seeking a contractor to patch a hole in my daughter's bedroom wall that an HVAC technician had left, I chose Castle Drywall & Plaster for the job through Angie's List contractors service. I saw that they have great reviews. I am glad that I chose them! They priced our job at an affordable price and provided a quick and reliable service. They did a great job. I would encourage anyone to use these guys for their next plaster or drywall job. They will treat you right!!
