This is the second year of using xtra mile landscaping , and couldn't be happier. Our lawn has always looked good , but this year was exceptional. Justin used a low weed blend of grass seed . Turf is thicker than ever.

Extremely pleased with the quality and color of mulch. The crew did a great job and walked around with me to make sure I was satisfied. The owner, Justin, responds quickly to texts or phone calls and is all about giving his customers the finest lawns & professionalism.

The teams that come out are professional and timely, they do a wonderful job, and are very ready to answer my questions and to take care of my lawn and garden requests excellently. Justin and his team have been cutting my lawn in Norfolk for over a year. My house is on a busy street and it was difficult for me to find a company that would put up with the parking hassle in Ghent. Extra Mile has been wonderful. They are consistent and always show up on the days they say they will. I get a monthly bill for the work (after he's done the job!). Wonderful customer service and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend them!

Extra Mile Lawn Care's information was provided to me as a recommendation by another lawn service provider, which that alone let me know they have a great reputation in this business. I was immediately in touch with the owner, Justin, who was very professional and took the time to ensure I received the best service package to fit my specific lawn/landscaping needs. It's such a stress reliever to come home to a well manicured yard. Extra Mile Lawn Care performed their first cut of the year for our home and my husband and I are very pleased. Highly recommend!!

Service gets better over time. As they get to know you and your yard & garden it starts getting more custom and a little more detail, and a little more love. It often seems with some providers that they lose their luster, but no, these guys have improved. I also pay less than I paid the last lawn service, and they started out seeming very similar and now these guys have surpassed.

I've been a professional turf manager for almost 20 years. I really didn't think that any lawn maintenance company would do high enough quality work to make me happy. I was definitely mistaken. The crew at Extra Mile is extraordinarily professional. The cut is great: proper height, sharp mower blades, no clumps & perfect edges. This is a very detail oriented company and their professionalism and outstanding work ethic shine through in their work. If you're looking for lawn maintenance, I'd definitely suggest that you call Extra Mile. If they can make me happy, they can probably make anyone happy.

Extremely honest and knowledgeable lawn care company! I have some large bare spots in my bermuda lawn that I was looking to have sodded. I found Extra Mile with a generic google search and a day later the owner was at my property to provide an estimate. After about an hour discussing the yard and what I was trying to accomplish the owner wrote an estimate on the spot. He handed me an itemized estimate for around $5k which was cheaper and more detailed than than the other two estimates I received earlier in the week. He then told me they can do the work but didn't want to because he thought I would have better results through custom lawn treatments (fertilization, etc.) with no sod needed and referred me to an entirely different company. I would have committed to the quote as Extra Mile was cheaper and more knowledgeable than anyone else I spoke with, yet instead of spending thousands I committed to a treatment plan with another company for around $500, all while Extra Mile gained $0 after spending over an hour at my property. It was extremely refreshing to deal with an honest company as these days it takes about 10 calls to find 1 honest person, this time it only took me 3. I have never left a review for any product or service, I have zero involvement in social media platforms so posting anything online is very uncommon for me, but I had such a positive experience with Extra Mile I felt obligated to share this. Although I did not have any services done through Extra Mile, I will definitely call them for future landscape projects and I advise you do the same.

My husband and I had the absolute best experience ever with Extra Mile. Both the owner and crew were very professional and courteous and went way above our expectations.
Because our backyard was mostly sand, from new construction, the crew had their work cut out for them. They were here 4, full days and worked hard on preparing the foundation, installing french drains, landscaping, laying sod and mulching. They cleaned up at the end of each day, never leaving any mess behind.
We also thought the cost of the entire project was very fair, having recently compared it to a neighbors backyard.

I had the most incredible experience with Justin, and I can’t thank him enough for his kindness and quick thinking! I found myself in a very stressful situation when I ran out of gas on a dangerous stretch of road (elbow road). It was scary, but Justin came to my rescue. Not only did he offer to help immediately, but he also went above and beyond, ensuring I was safe and that my car was safe too. It’s rare to meet someone so genuine and selfless, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with Justin. Truly a lifesaver! Although I have not used his lawn care services I will definitely be giving him a call for my lawn in the future! Thank you, Justin, for being a great person and for helping me out.

I just want to cry. I called the company about a month after the installation because it started dying. I asked that Justin come out but he never did. Please don’t ask if I water the grass… I can show the amount that I paid for my water bill two months straight. I have the worst grass in the neighborhood, I am so embarrassed. The regular grass I had before looked way better than this. I paid too much money for this to happen, just too much. I did not get to enjoy my grass for a month.

Extra Mile did a great job with my yard. What they didn’t do was a good job of the cleanup. They left my driveway muddy and got my neighbors car dirty as well. Now it was raining which made things difficult, but if you call yourself “Extra Mile” I expect you to go the extra mile. This company did the complete opposite. The main guy, left in the middle of the day and didn’t even come back to see the work, and to see if I was satisfied. A bit disappointed.

Justin and Tammy were immediately responsive to my request for a quote. Justin came out the next day and sat down and discussed the entire process for getting our yard up and running this spring from trimming the bushes, mulching the beds, and getting the lawn mowed at the proper length as part of the full-service lawn care. It was immediately evident that Justin was personally invested in getting our yard looking great. From mowing the lawn yesterday to mulching and trimming today, the Extra Mile team knocked it out of the park. We look forward to being an Extra Mile Lawn Care customer for many years to come.

Had to go on a deployment and couldn’t mow the grass obviously so I called them up and they came out that week. They trimmed all my weeds and bushes along with making my lawn look amazing! I have been using them for almost a year now and couldn’t be happier with their service! The manager Jamier has been very kind and professional when it comes to any questions I had while away as well.

After we had gotten a very large tree removed, I could not find a landscaper willing to take on the work to redo our back yard for months. Justin and his team are THE choice in the Hampton Roads area to trust if you have a large complex job that needs to be done RIGHT! He worked hand in hand with us to design our new yard and I am absolutely in disbelief right now that we can enjoy this gorgeous open area. He is a true professional and worked with us to maintain our budget throughout. There were NO surprises in the bill. His team was dedicated and truly cared that everything came out perfectly. Freedom Mowers Lawn Care is a very professional, dependable and easy to deal with. They are quick to respond and flexible. I am on the once every two week mowing plan and that is perfect. Their employees are quick, courteous and frankly do more than I expected. They hire well and are determined to be a first class company to deal with.

We hired Freedom mowers to mow our large yard for us for the last few months. They have done an amazing job keeping our lawns looking well maintained while our home was placed on the market! If we weren’t moving out of state, we would definitely continue our service with them. Great company. Definitely recommend.
