Reviews of local pros in Chester, Virginia

From the visit for the estimate to the follow through of the call confirming we were happy with the service. It has been great dealing with Orleans tree service.
Great work, fair pricing, timely service.
It has been a pleasure dealing with good people and great customer service.
Do highly recommend Orleans Co tree service. We will definitely use them again if needed.

What a great company to do business with. The team was wonderful to work with and very professional. I had four large trees removed from the center of my paved driveway. They removed all the trees and grinned the stumps without any damage to the asphalt. They didn’t an amazing job cleaning up afterwards and the cost was very reasonable.

Thank you for a job well done. The crew removed a dead pine tree. The crew respected my yard and cleaned up all the debris. If you need a tree removed, Orleans Co Tree Service is the best company for you.

Raymundo and his crew were some of the best folks I could have asked to have my yard cleared! I cannot sing the praises of the folks doing the work enough. They did everything perfectly and the small touches that you'd hope for when you are clearing a lot.

This would be a 5 star review had it not been for the individual responsible for communicating with dominion, me, and my elderly neighbor. He put 2 work orders in for the line drop, did not notify me that my elderly neighbor would be impacted. She understood day one. I called him that night when lines went back up, he said the work order w dominion for the 2nd day was cancelled. He did not follow through and I had to stop Dominion from dropping the lines ~730am. It was a frustrating experience with his inability to communicate but I only had to work with the individual to settle the contract and for dominion.

However, I still recommend Orleans tree service because I don't think you find a better price, work ethic, surgical drop of 11 trees, cleanup, and grading as perfectly as Raymundo and his team. They took care of the whole job and were incredibly detaile oriented in a tight spot to take down 11 trees (mostly pine)

Orleans was very prompt and professional. Ryan gave us a great estimate and followed very quickly with a written copy. Would recommend.

Orleans Co. Tree Service did an amazing tree stump grinding and removal of two stumps. I greatly appreciate there work. I would use them again. Thanks, Debbie

These guys came in and removed a huge tree from our garage just before the rain hit, preventing further damage. We are grateful and thankful for your quick and professional response! Highly recommend if you ever find yourself in a similar situation or just need some trees removed. Thanks again!!

We had an excellent experience. David, the arborist, gave very candid advice at the outset. The crew executed a challenging tree removal (Chinese Elm) without damaging nearby trees or fence. They also minimized any impact to the grass. Highly recommend.

Wanted to reach out and give a BIG thank you to everyone at Orleans Co. Tree Service for the GREAT JOB they performed with removing a few trees as well as trimming up others. They performed an awesome job with cleanup. Besides the trees being gone and others trimmed, you couldn’t tell they were here. Ryan Thompson as well as the other crew members were very professional, great prices and they took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions. They exceeded my expectations, I highly recommend Orleans Co. Tree Service. You will not be disappointed. If I need any additional services, I will absolutely contact them.

Cannot stress enough how amazing our experience was! We had a VERY large tree in a very difficult spot that they took down with ease. David and his team were very knowledgeable and provided an experience that we will never forget. Thank you and we look forward to working with you all again in the future!

Orleans Co did a fantastic job for us. We had two trees removed along with two big holly bushes. One tree was entangled with a power line, half dead, and hanging over our neighbor’s property, but the team were pros and made quick work of what I considered a pretty complex job. They cleaned up really nicely after the work was done. Everyone was easy to work with. Highly recommend!

I have used Orleans Co. Tree Service several times. They are always very prompt and professional. They walk me through all the work they have estimated and get my approval and comments. When they are done, they ask again for my input and approval. They leave my yard clear of debris. I highly recommend their services!

Do yourself a favor and hire Orleans Co. Tree Service! We've worked with them on four separate occasions over the years, and each time they exceeded our expectations.

Our most recent experience was on July 7, 2025. They removed multiple bushes, took down an evergreen tree, trimmed and shaped our magnolia tree, and pruned back overextending limbs from our neighbor’s property (with his permission, of course!).

From David, who assessed our property and discussed the scope of work, to the friendly office staff who coordinated our scheduling, to Andy and his crew who performed the job—every single person at this company is professional, kind, and an absolute pleasure to work with.

If you need any service that Orleans Co. Tree Service offers, don’t wait—hire them today. You won’t be disappointed!

the team was polite and very professional, 7 trees were trimmed in total. They cleaned up after themselves. Trees look great. Prices were reasonable.

I had a wonderful experience with this amazing tree company. From start to finish they did an outstanding job removing my trees. They were very courteous, professional, and hard working. I could not help but notice how dedicated they are to their profession and really love what they are doing. When a difficult situation came up they took care of it for me immediately without question. If you are in the neighborhood looking for any type of tree work, look no further than Orleans Tree Service because they are simply the very best! Look for Judy at the office to guide you in the right direction, Dave to handle your quote, and Ryan to help solve almost any issue that may arise. Give them a call and I assure you it will be one of the best decisions you ever made.

I had 4 oak trees cut down and these guys are on the ball. Quick estimates and service. I was on hand most of the time while they were doing the work and the entire crew was very friendly, courteous and constantly watched the surrounding area in order to not damage anything. They did such a good job of cleaning up that you would never know they had been there except the trees were gone. Definitely recommend giving them a call if you need tree service.

The Crew at Orleans Tree Service are fantastic! They arrived promptly on short notice and performed my tree removal quickly and efficiently. They are very knowledgeable about the tree business and I would highly recommend them to family and friends. They also cleaned up the property like nothing had happened! Thanks Gary and the Orleans crew!!

I cannot say enough positive about the performance, kindness, courtesy and exemplary customer service shown by The Orleans Tree Company to my wife and me. Kudos to Owner Gary Smith. Dave Lewis, the Tree Crew and Ofice Staff, they epitomize the best in Customer Care. John and Concetta DiManno

Orleans was very efficient in every way. We told them what trees we wanted down and what trees we wanted trimmed and they had great suggestions and advice where that was concerned. The office was responsive and followed up with us prior to and after the appointment. The crew that came were extremely competent and did an awesome job for us. We will definitely be using Orleans again.

Outstanding Service from Start to Finish!

I cannot say enough good things about the Orleans team! From the very beginning, their professionalism was top-notch. The inspection team came out promptly to assess the situation and gave me a thorough, honest evaluation of the two massive loblolly pines looming close to my house. They took the time to explain every step of the process and answered all of my questions with patience and expertise. Best of all, they had the most affordable price AND the best equipment to safely get the job done.

The administrative team was equally impressive. Scheduling was a breeze, and they communicated clearly and efficiently from start to finish, keeping me informed every step of the way.

For removal day, the crew showed up the evening before to again go over day of logistics. Day of the crew were right on time and worked like a well-oiled machine. Watching them safely and skillfully take down those towering pines — in just half a day! — was incredible. They worked with impressive speed without sacrificing safety or quality. They cleaned up thoroughly afterward, leaving our yard in great shape.

If you’re looking for a tree removal team that combines professionalism, expertise, and a commitment to customer service, look no further. We are already recommending them to our friends and neighbors — they made what could have been a stressful experience completely stress-free!
