I have been a customer of EcoAir for two years now and am so thankful I finally found an A/C company who knows what they are doing, takes pride in their work, and still believes in true customer service. Today, I had an issue with my a/c drain line clogging up and the pan quickly filling up with water (which is in the attic!) so I called Eco Air. It was after 7pm when I left a message and within minutes my call was returned. Within an hour John had someone at my house working to troubleshoot the problem.
If you are looking for an A/C company for emergency work, routine maintenance, or a new install (which if you’re reading this review you probably are) John and his team are the most knowledgeable and reliable HVAC team in the area. His prices are reasonable and their attention to detail make them the best in my book. I would recommend this team to anyone who is looking for a company with integrity, honesty and a reliable service.

I hired EcoAir off of a referral from another contractor and I couldn't be happier with them. I have an older trilevel that needed serious work to make livable and we had a new unit installed, but duct work needed to be rerouted and reworked to get the right balance in the house. From the beginning, Jon came in and actually looked at the service manual to calibrate the system and get it right just from the initial consult. Then Gary and his crew did a lot of rerouting and insulating of the duct system. Then when one room still wasn't getting airflow, they cam out again and spent an extra 4 hours getting that one squared away. They really considered the whole house, communicated effectively with me, and their follow through was awesome. I highly highly recommend EcoAir as a service provider!

We hired Eco Air to install a new A.C. unit in our rental property. The HVAC Technicians dropped the ball and communication was not consistent across the board. HVAC Technicians left to get equipment that should have been packed on the truck prior to starting the job and ended their workday early the same day. We were quoted a two day turnaround and the job ended up taking six days. I understand we have an older home and there may be obstacles but it’s not good customer service when Technicians are complaining they don’t want to be there and continuously telling us the job could have never been done in two days because the company has people out sick. Their Lead Technician Matt had great customer service and explained to my husband the other HVAC Technicians dropped the ball. The really frustrating part was the owner (Mr. John) never called my husband which we requested. The company did not discount or compensate us for our inconvenience. Overall, they have done good work in the past and the job recently completed seems to be good. But the customer service and communication NEEDS IMPROVEMENT . Ms. Victoria and Ms. Natasha were very sweet and helpful during this whole process and the only reason I gave the additional 2 stars.

We've had eclair out to both our homes in the richmond and goochland areas. He is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Able to explain various concerns of his clearly and itemizes in estimates so you can prioritize repairs if you don't want to do them all the time. He is very responsive whenever I have reached out.

A couple of years we contacted Eco Air to look at our water tank and decided to go with a tankless unit. John and his crew was nice and presentable. When the old tank was taken out. They forgot to cork the holes in the floor that evening. After I call them, they came back a day or so later to cork it. Between that time a field mice got in the house and we never had a mice in here. It took everything we knew to get it out of here after some weeks. I called Victoria that use to work there and express my feeling to her. She was really nice, but she could not do anything about that. After this tankless unit was installed. We had problems with it clunking day and night. John came out a couple of times trying to fix it. It still was doing the same thing and another tech from eco air came out to fix it to know avail. The John and a rep. from the tankless company came out and tried to remedy it and 2 weeks later it went back to clunking everyday and some nights. Recently I called eco air to come look at my ac unit because it was blowing warm air. So John did get it running, but the next night it went out again. The tankless unit would still clunk. The house was at alnost 90 degrees. I called John he was going on vacation and the girl at his office did not have anyone available to come out for a couple of days. My wife and I called another company and expain our situation and someone came out that same day and replace a 18 year old unit that was shot. I call John and told him that my tankless unit is still clunking and it has gotten louder and worse in the last few months. He came by and stayed about 5 minutes look in the laundry room where the unit is and look under the house and said that he will call the rep. Then he said he think they other company close something off. The problem was there way before the other company change my ac unit with a new one. I been calling and leaving messages with the girl in the office to call me. She said when I call back that John is either out of town or busy doing another job. Which I do understand. We feel like the ball was drop on us. This tankless unit has been a crazy ordeal. At any rate the company that put my ac unit in came out he monday Sept 22, 2024 and fix my tankless unit and did not charge me anything.The tankless unit was showing error codes that the unit piping was not installed properly.

Technician Tyler was super nice, knowledgeable and fast with finding the problem and conducting repairs. He took the extra time to ensure everything was in good working order on my heat system and not just the problem area. Would recommend EcoAir for your heating and cooling issues.

Ecoair has always been professional and honest. I had a coil that had started leaking and John took the time to find out that it was still under a factory warranty even though Ecoair didn't do the initial install. Don't waste your time with "Hulked Up" prices.

This company knows what they are doing and upfront and honest. One heck of a job they did and went right to work until the job was done. Awesomeness is the only way to describe their service. Thank you Jon and his crew, I have heat for the holidays...

Unfortunately my heat pump was originally installed by these people. I didn’t choose them, the guy that built my house sub contracted them. My system had been leaking Freon probably since it was installed. By default I called Ecoair since they were the ones who originally installed it. They said they would send someone out to look at it and give me an estimate. They never mentioned they were going to charge me for the estimate. So they send a guy out who can barely get up the stairs to my attic, he breaks my drain pan trying to pull the cover off the air handler and then when he’s leaving says it’s going to be $340. I refused to pay the whole price ($115 for the estimate and $225 for a leak test) he didn’t do a leak test all he did was look the evaporator where I said the leak was and said yeah that’s where it’s leaking and they wanted $225 for that. So I ended up paying them only the $115 for the estimate. Two days later my aux drain pan is full of water and when I got a real tech out here from a legit company they showed me how he broke the drain pan causing it to fill with water. So they came out here and broke my HVAC system more than it already was. And come to find out they should have installed a float switch on my aux drain pan as well and they never did that at the time of the original install. So because of Ecoair I had to pay another company $1600 to fix an HVAC system that was only 4 years old. And that’s with the evaporator being covered under the warranty. So do yourself a favor and don’t call Ecoair.

The EcoAir Tech arrived, explained the work he was going to do and was very professional. Upon completion he assured me everything was working properly. Excellent service and I highly recommend this company. Our system has been working very effectively without any issues.

Ecoair LLC is as professional as HVAC contractors come and I am always pleased with the services/recommendations they provide. I never fail to learn something new from the owner, the apprentices and the office staff; you would do well to trust your home mechanical needs to them.

Another great fall/winter HVAC inspection. Les was the technician, and arrived on time. He noticed two components on one of our two outside units that needed replacing, and they are on order. Other than those two items our units were in excellent order. I recommend Ecoair to all of our friends.

I can always count on Eco Air to fix my issues in the most expedient manner. John, the owner of the company is the most knowledgeable competent and trustworthy person in his trade. All the employees at Eco Air are respectful and knowledgeable. I have been using Eco Air for over 10 years and do not want to call anyone else.
