I’ve used Jim the Handyman services occasionally and they’ve always done beautiful work, were on time and very attentive to keeping the work area clean.
Today Jose came to repair my 2 wooden gates that had settled and wouldn’t close or lock. Jose’s skills are carpentry, painting, and stone. His work is impeccable, he was neat, explained why he had to reset my garden gates so they cleared my flagstone walk, and also move my rear gate lock because of settling. He primed & painted and made all work perfectly. I’m so pleased I asked him to return yo address some fence issues, which he suggested 2 options: one seemed more durable than the other and possibly less work. Finally I found a reliable, skilled, and knowledgeable person to repair the carpentry and painting jobs that crop up owning a 240 year old home!

We had a great experience with Jim the Handyman. The process is simple, straightforward and appropriately priced. We were so fortunate to be assigned Henry who was prompt, professional, friendly and he did a great job repairing 17 drywall areas (repair, patch and paint) that were cut out after new lighting installations. I even goofed up and we needed paint picked up, I ordered it and Henry drove to pick it up for us rather than rescheduling or prolonging the job until we got more paint. Highly recommend booking with Carissa or Grace who are kind, responsive, efficient and organized. All around great experience, we're JTH customers for life.

Two of the workers just left my house and I couldn't be happier with the service. This was my first time using Jim the Handyman and there are several things they were great at. The estimate was very accurate to what I was charged, the service was done quickly, the workers were very friendly, and they also gave me suggestions for things that I was unsure of the best method to fix. The workers cleaned up well before leaving and made sure I understood the bill. I can't recommend this company enough. I'm very impressed.

I have many positive things to say about “Jim the Handyman” service and the work done!
The company’s estimator came as scheduled, I walked him to every area that needed repairs, to the rotted garage door panels, wood siding repairs, and the house outdoor wood to be caulked and painting on ground and second floors.
After I approved the estimate price for the work to be done. The very next day their handyman Jorge Falconer arrived. And Jorge walked with me to each repair area to confirm again exactly what I wanted done. I handed him my custom matching paint, and 6 hours later the work was completed! Perfect, flawless, no paint mess and no cleanup for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not an easy person to please, particularly when it comes to contractors/home vendors. I am typically disappointed and find a lot of companies do not do what they say they will do. After a recent windstorm my storm door was ripped off and destroyed. I had no prior knowledge of Jim the Handyman and had not used them before. I reluctantly took a chance. I called and a gentleman came over and was pleasant with my wife and was not condescending to her as I was at work. He gave a reasonable quote to replace the door and the work was scheduled for the following week. I even mentioned that we were flexible and if any cancellations came in, we could take the open spot. The did call and we were able to have the door installed a day early. The work done was great and we could not be happier. They did what they said they would do and this is what is most important to me. I would certainly recommend Jim and his team and will rely on them again.

The Handyman services team was on time, very experienced and polite. Efrain who worked on my home was very experienced and did a great job. He was patient arrived before the scheduled time and was exceptional with explaining everything and answered all my questions. He is an exemplary employee. First time using Jim the Handyman. I would like to thank the prior reviewers for the recommendation, because this was a positive experience.

I wanted to add a screen door to our back entrance, and after several options we agreed on the best door for our home. Jim the Handyman sent out Neal to to install the door; he was quick, professional, and did a great job. Would definitely use again!

We recently hired the company “Jim-the-Handyman” to install 1) a vanity in our master bathroom; 2) to restore our downstairs bathroom which needed drywall, a toilet, a sink and a door installed; and 3) a replacement of a pocket door and its runner. The vanity installation required delicate cutting of bathroom wall tile. We are happy to report that this work was done quickly and professionally. In fact, we could not be more pleased with the work that was done by Isacc and his helper. We believe that Jim-the-Handyman is very lucky to have such talented and dedicated employees. If we could, we would put them in for a pay raise. We are recommending Jim-the-Handyman to our friends and family.

We had excellent service today from Jorge Falcones with Jim the Handyman. Jorge undertook two projects involving our roof. These included: filling spaces between the outside paneling on both sides of our roof -and securing a new attic gable vents. He was articulate, conscientious, and competent completing the work in the time expected and within the agreed upon budget. We've had good fortune with many contractors with Jim the Handyman and Jorge's work will continue us looking forward to hiring this same company for future projects.

The one star is for the receptionist who was very nice when I was very frustrated. She had great communication skills. She is the reason I asked for an estimate. The person who came out was pleasant. The workers if given the time to do the job and do it correctly would be great but that isn’t the case. On Monday they arrived at 10 am left at 1:30. The two seams that needed to be repaired along with the ceiling painted. They left when the paint was wet only to look at it hours later to still see the seams and the paint bubbling. They had to come back the next day to “feather” the ceiling. They let the compound dry over night and came back the next day. The paint was wet but thankfully the job is finished. What I could say to management is to let the experts who are the workers do the job but you need to give them time to do it once and get the job done right. Coming back 3 times to finish a rushed job because they have to get to the next job isn’t going to create a happy customer. I will never use this company again. Lesson learned never pay for a job upfront. Pay when the job is complete and customer is satisfied.

Jose did an amazing job cleaning up our brick stoop and steps which had a ton of cracks and needed to be repaired badly after the winter left it in bad shape. He worked in 100+ degree heat to get the job done and was a total professional through the whole job. Highly recommend.

we needed to have a drywall repair in our kitchen ceiling due to a plumbing leak. Jim The Handyman sent Carlos to our home. He was great! He fixed the area so well, you can't even see where it was. He cleaned up when finished and could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend.

Mauricio and team are incredibly hard-working, a beehive of work conducted over 5 hours and I don't think anyone took a break or had a meal. I also worried that no one wore hearing or eye protection while operating loud power tools. On time, on budget, solid workmanship.

I had four different projects to complete: replace flood light fixtures, retape drywall and paint, remove deck trim and repair wood rot on deck support beam. All of these projects were completed by Isai and his coworker with attention to detail and exceeded my expectations. They cleaned up after each project and ensured my satisfaction before leaving. Extremely pleased with Jim The Handyman! Igor, Milton, and Anderson did some incredible work for a few projects around our house. From building a wall in our basement to expanding our master bedroom closet, including adding a door, to the drywall repairs and install including tape, mud, sand, and paint, their work was completed beautifully. The team was very professional and very communicative as we worked through several key decisions that popped up. I would highly recommend Jim The Handyman based on their high quality of work, professionalism, and great pricing. I will most definitely be bringing them back out for future work.

We had to have tile removed in our kitchen to replace the dishwasher and then had new tile reinstalled. Jose did a wonderful wonderful job and I could highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Jim the Handyman. Tim provided a prompt & thorough estimate for my project to replace a vanity, sink, LED mirror/medicine cabinet (250lbs), drywall repair & paint. I added on a few miscellaneous items while they were here. Mauricio & his team were reliable, efficient & professional. We hired Jim the Handyman for drywall repair from house settling, sanding and paint touch ups. We got a quick estimate and got quickly scheduled, and the work is great. We would definitely use them again.

Professional, courteous, competent, affordable, honest. I can’t say enough nice things about my experiences with this company over the years. Most recently Neal, their door guy, replaced the weatherstripping around my condo door and adjusted the hinges so the door closes without scraping against the frame. He showed me how easily the weatherstripping insert can be replaced if it breaks down or gets torn so that I could do it myself next time if I wanted to. I will continue to rely on Jim and his workers for all of my handyman projects.
