I highly recommend ALLEN MECHANICAL, they do an excellent job, at a very affordable prices, and without surcharging a fee for coming to your home. Steve just fixed my A/C didn't have to endure the 97F+ outside heat waiting for a Technician, as he promptly came and fixed the problem.

After my upstairs AC failed to cut on I thought I was going to need a whole new outside unit. However it turned out that the inside component was actually clogged with mineral deposits. Through a phone call I was walked through how to clean out the water pipes on the inside component with the included brush.
Low and behold it worked. They suggested this and saved me not only from unnecessary repairs but also a trip charge. They even followed up the next day with a phone call to make sure the unit was running properly.
I'll definitely be using them in the future.

The hot water heater that also supplements hot water to the coils to my Heat Pump to provide auxiliary heat was not working properly. Another company suggested replacement of the Hot water heater. Contacted Allen Mechanical, same day Phillip assessed the problem, and two days later he and his plumber fixed my hot water heater. I can not express enough my gratitude to Phillip for his caring demeanor and interest in saving me extra expenses. For a senior it means a lot.

AC started making noise and fan stopped working around 8pm. We sent a message and someone responded within minutes. We were told to turn off unit to avoid further damage and someone would call us first thing in the morning. True to their word we received a call before 8 am and they were at our house around 1130. Unit was back up and running by 12. So very thankful because this heat is brutal. Will definitely use them again.

Called on a Sunday and left a voicemail. I got a call back before 8:30am Monday morning from Steve Allen. He was beyond professional and very helpful. I have worked with Allen Mechanical on several occasions now. They are an honest and reputable company which is 100% focused on doing what is right for their customers! I have worked with both Philip and Steve on the following projects/issues.

- Troubleshooting and replacement/retrofitting of malfunctioning Trane thermostat and zoning system
- Troubleshooting and repair of clean effects air filtration system
- Installation of new Trane HVAC system for my 3rd floor
- Troubleshooting and fix of exterior unit run capacitor
- Troubleshooting and fix of thermostat error preventing unit from cooling

In each of these cases they were extremely professional, and their experience with Trane systems was immediately evident. They took the time to explain exactly what was happening and provided me with multiple options for repair, replacement, and/or installation. On a couple occasions this included walking me through a troubleshooting process over the phone which allowed be to get the system back up and running on my own without a service call. They also offered to help me locate used components for an obsolete Trane system to help reduce the cost of the repairs. Ultimately this search was unsuccessful and we had to install a new zoning system, but their willingness to try and always go the extra mile for their customers is what sets them apart.

I would strongly encourage you to use Allen Mechanical for all your Trane equipment service and installation needs.

I had tried a couple of other HVAC companies in the past and Stephen at Allen Mechanical was a breath of Fresh Air!!! Came on-site for my initial problem with our mini-splits and had the unit up and running within an hour. Greatly appreciated his prompt service and being able to resolve the problem. Steven Allen showed up on time and was very professional. He explained everything very well to me. I was home alone and felt very secure, being a woman, while he was here. He knew how to fix our issue and the repair was complete in less 45 minutes from his arrival. I will only use Allen Mechanical from now on.

After discovering my HVAC blower not functioning, I Googled HVAC companies in my area. I called Allen Mechanical and was immediately connected to a fantastic technical resource. He walked me through troubleshooting over the phone, explaining in clear details the potential areas of concern. We were able to get the system working. The technician gave me tips on a few things to check in the coming hours and overnight to ensure the problem did not recur. He said just call back if needed and they will schedule a home visit. He even gave estimates for common repairs. What a pleasure to get such professional people and a reputable company from a quick google search:)

Allen Mechanical is a life-saver! I bought a house a couple of years ago and signed up for a preventive maintenance agreement with the same HVAC service company that I had been using at my old home for over 25 years. The HVAC system in the new home had several issues and each time it seemed like the maintenance plan got the service tech out to the house quickly, but it always cost more than expected because they always seem to find something new that needed fixing. Yesterday, I noticed that the outside fan never stopped running so I called them out. Again, the tech was very thorough and got the unit running, but they found enough additional problems that the total cost was going to run over $2500. They even got me thinking about a brand new system. Looking for a second opinion, I contacted Allen Mechanical and talked to Stephen Allen. He was very knowledgeable and came out this morning. He got the unit running in no time and even did a complete check of the system and ordered some new parts. The total for everything he did was much less than half what the other company was going to charge. I've got the right group working for me this time! And I feel like I got a new friend in the bargain. Thank you, Stephen!

We are so glad we chose Allen Mechanical to replace our 47 year-old heating/cooling system! They gave us a prompt, reasonable and firm quote for an efficient new Trane heat pump system - without high-pressure sales tactics.
Other vendors who quoted seemed to be somewhat baffled by our installation and proposed rather outlandish fixes at undetermined costs; Allen had no problem with any of it and there were no added costs.
They did the job when and how they said they would. They took time to explain what they were doing and what we can expect as the new system adjusts to the house. They explained how the thermostat works and set it up for us with internet access.
When they finished the job they left everything inside and outside at least as clean as it was before!
They are very friendly but quite professional and we really feel good about having them do this job. Getting a new HVAC system is a big investment and you really don't want to get it wrong! You won't go wrong if you choose Allen Mechanical.

Fred Allen and his sons installed the HVAC systems (3) in our new home 20+ years ago. I talked with Philip Allen in September 2023 when he was here to inspect one of the compressors. He suggested that we should think about replacing the main unit based on twenty years of use, and then he provided information with several options. My wife and I told him that whatever we decided on couldn't be much better than what we had, but he assured us that the newer unit would be better. The main unit was replaced in late October 2023, and Philip was right.

As for our current and future HVAC needs, we are SO thankful to have Allen Mechanical to take care of this. They've been responsive whenever we've needed service (which has been minimal), and we fully trust them. We've also recommended them to some of our neighbors and friends over the years, and the folks who took our recommendations shared their positive comments with us after choosing them.

We highly recommend them if you have HVAC needs.

Honestly, it has been a long time since I've come across a business that was as professional, thorough and knowledgeable. After I called about my furnace not working, Steve Allen showed up within 20 minutes. He went over all my options, what would be cheapest, what would be most effective, what he felt was best for us to do, in his professional opinion. At a time when many businesses opt for what will garner the most money, he recommended a very reasonable solution that resulted in a warm, cozy house by the time he left. I could not be happier with Steve and the company he works for. Finding that kind of integrity these days is few and far between. AND, as an added bonus, as he he leaving, he pulled a tree that had come down in this last storm and was blocking part of my driveway, out of the way by using straps and his truck. Truly just a great guy who knows this business and is willing to go over and above. This is the first time I've ever written a review for any business but I was so impressed, I just had to. Highly highly recommend Allen Mechanical. You won't regret it.
