Constraction reviews in Hampton, Virginia

Shovel Kings is Grade A when it comes to tackling a job. I had a massive tree stump and 4 smaller tree stumps that had to be removed. On top of that, I needed roots removed and yard graded. Stumps removed, roots pulled out, holes filled in and leveled, sand spread, top soil spead, hay spread, and grass laid out. AMAZING WORK. They were in and out in 2 days! We RAN INTO a snag but without any hesitation, the owner, made it right. Shovel Kings has a very skilled and integral group of workers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL SCOPE OF WORK THAT SHOVEL KINGS PROVIDES. The Quality and Integrity can not be matched.

I have photographed for Shovel Kings for several years. While I have never personally hired them, I have seen many jobs through from start to finish. From a simple home repair, to a whole backyard makeover, to a new corporate business location from demo to ribbon cutting. Each job is completed to the highest standards, with integrity and professionalism. They are a joy to work with and around, and I hope to be able to work with them for years to come!

Shovel Kings poured a 10x12 pad for our hot tub... pulled up part of a tree and took up rest of a huge stump....Shovel King is #1 hands down ..can't wait for our next project Shovel Kings Hampton va

I contacted shovel kings for a repair estimate of a soffit removal, they sounded very knowledgeable, and told me we might have to relocate plumbing, they scheduled an appointment with me for the next day. The day of the appointment no one arrives, 18 minutes after the appointment time I receive a phone call telling me they are not coming because they need to either renovate my entire kitchen or they can't do the job. Loss of time, money and effort.. 10/10 would not recommend.

Exceptional craftsmanship paired with transparent, fair pricing set this service apart, instilling a sense of trust and reliability. Clear and consistent communication coupled with knowledgeable staff ensures the job is completed efficiently and to a high standard, making it a dependable choice for quality outdoor work.

I Highly recommend Shovel Kings; their assistance and professionalism were exceptional. They promptly resolved a significant pipe blockage for us.Thank you Shovel Kings!

Shovel Kings did a beautiful job on my bathroom renovation. They were dedicated to getting the job done right. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for our next house project.

Great customer service. I didn't get anything built by them but was called back and referred to another local company that better fit my needs

Driver of large contractor truck speeding and weaving through traffic on Hampton Roads Center Parkway. 65+ mph easily and running the light across Bethel rd. Unprofessional and dangerous.

AAAAA

Great People

This is the best contracting corp in Virginia, hands down!

Cops have already been contacted over this but one of your contractors on 04/05/25 was not only driving UNDER the speed limit but felt the need to brake check me numerous times so I go to get around him and he speeds up and hits his brakes even more so I can’t get in front of him. Actually pathetic and so unprofessional to do all of that IN a Company Car. license plate is UZV-1404. Do better.

I can’t say enough great things about Kappatal Construction. After my home was devastated by a fire, I was overwhelmed and unsure of what the rebuilding process would even look like. From the very beginning, their team stepped in with professionalism, compassion, and true expertise.

They walked me through every step, kept me informed, and made what could have been an incredibly stressful experience feel manageable. The quality of their work is outstanding, my home was not just rebuilt, it was restored beautifully with attention to every detail.

Their crew was reliable, respectful, and clearly took pride in what they were doing. They delivered on their promises, stayed on schedule, and made sure everything was done right.

I’m beyond grateful for Kappatal Construction. They didn’t just rebuild my house, they helped me get my home back. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a trustworthy and skilled construction team.

You can just see the passion behind their work! Its more than just business as usual with them! Will highly recommend.

Good company to work with, all the worker that came to my home was polite and professional, when all the work was done they cleaned up all their mess, I will recommend Kappatal Construction to anyone, job well done
