I called for a quote to do a paver stone patio and a lawn treatment service contract. Person I spoke to was friendly and said they don't do paver stone work any more, but would be happy to email a quote for the lawn service. I never got any email or call about the lawn service quote. Non responsive is so frustrating that it's worth 1 star.

This rating is from me as an individual homeowner. They currently have a contract to maintain a detention pond in my subdivision, and I am the HOA president. This review is unrelated to their work for the HOA.

Great plan to keep my yard looking good. It's always a breath of fresh air to come home. Cut and trimmed beautiful.

They are trash . They never remove debris and always leave trash laying around

Kevin and his crews are dedicated landscape professionals. They automatically cut our grass on a schedule that matches the growth. Similarly, they blow the leaves from our beds and cart them away once they start falling. We seamlessly communicate by email when we want bush trimming and that is always done artfully. Kevin also does anything else needed - once extracting a patch of invasive nandina using some just-the-right-size power equipment. Their charges are fair and match the amount of work they do. I know that they, without hesitation, extracted and disposed of a deer carcass from one of the subdivisions ponds when asked by the landscape committee. They just get the job done well.

YLS has been our Landscaping Service for almost 20 years. They are dependable, responsive, and their work has been excellent.
Would highly recommend for all of your landscaping needs. We have weekly lawn and clean up services, as well as trimming, seeding, planting, fertilizing, weeding, leaf/debris clean-up and removal.

Unfortunately, my experience with YLS was disappointing. I hired Kevin and his team because my husband and I had just bought a house that came with a large, overgrown backyard. We wanted help generally cleaning it up, trimming trees/bushes, removing debris and weeds, etc. When I initially met with Kevin we talked about trying to do this while still preserving the salvageable plants that were in place. I specifically pointed out a tree that had pretty vines growing on it that I wanted to keep and Kevin indicated that he understood. While vague, his contract said they would clear out all debris and generally clean up the yard. When it came time for Kevin and his team to do the job I immediately noticed that communication was poor, he would say a date that they were coming and then fail to show up or give any heads up not to expect them. This would be annoying but not a dealbreaker if they were to do the job well. However, unfortunately they didn’t, they ultimately came by on two days before indicating that the job was finished. During those two days they overly trimmed several bushes that will now probably take at least half a year to fill out again and yet left a couple trees with low enough hanging leaves that I (not a particularly tall woman) still have to duck to walk under. They left the patio still filled with weeds poking up between the interlocking pavement. There was a portioned-off garden area of the yard dedicated to fruit bearing plants (strawberries, blueberries etc) that was a big mix of these desirable plants and then also weeds mixed in. They ended up just ripping out all of it showing next to no discernment between plants that should stay versus weeds, with the end result that this entire area will now need to be replanted. Earlier I mentioned that there was a specific tree with a vine (Virginia Creeper) that I wanted to keep, so of course they ended up cutting off the roots of more than half the vine. I brought this up to Kevin, who indicated that he remembered that I wanted to keep this vine but did not give so much as an apology that his team had destroyed it, let alone offer to do anything to make up for this. Lastly they left the yard still completely filled with debris, including leaves, some left over grass clippings and tons of rotting pears on the ground. We hired YLS so that we wouldn’t have to deal with the mess that was previously there, however unfortunately now we still have just as much of a mess as before, it’s just a different kind of mess and we’re out over $550. Overall I would not recommend them for anything beyond basic lawn care.

Killed it on my fence and landscaping

I recently had my wooden fence replaced with vinyl. The company was absolutely the best! I highly recommend for any of your landscaping needs.

Hands down the best! We have used them for a few of our houses now and I’m impressed even more every time! Their attention to detail, customer service, and timeliness is why I would recommend them to anyone! At one of our properties, we were having trouble with the utilities getting marked before the fence install and they stayed on top of it and made sure it got done! One of the best companies I have worked with!
