Reviews of local pros in Hayes, Virginia

Large selection of plants, herbs, etc. They had several employees who were very helpful. Well established and organized business.

What a lovely find! So many wonderful houseplants at REALLY good prices. This place also had a good variety of pots, including frost-resistant ones at reasonable prices. Plus they had some shop cats to keep an eye on the staff 🙂 Will definitely be back!

Green Planter's Garden Center is by far the best garden center/nursery that I have conducted business with. They have great selections. Trees have perfect shape and very healthy. Flowers are nice sizes as well. Kenny and the staff are very knowledgeable, professional and the best customer service skills. I always feel welcomed and all questioned are answered happily. When I am conducting business at Green Planter's Garden Center it's truly a family feel. I highly recommend Green Planters Garden Center.

Love this place reasonably priced houseplants and I even got to save a bunch of swallowtail caterpillars! The lady was incredibly kind and the man who was working there was also friendly. They have a kitty named Atlas who has to be employee of the year for greeting us and showing us which plants were the best! Will be returning in the future!

Awesome place. I live right down the road so its super convenient for me. I've purchased my plants there for the last several years. I can only really speak on their vegetables, but they have a very nice variety.

Always friendly and helpful, and always knowledgeable. Definitely a gem in Gloucester.

We bought azaleas, a Camilla and rhododendron. Beautiful, healthy plants that are reasonably priced. Very helpful staff.

Stopped in on a whim passing by and ended up impressed! Beautiful collection of healthy plants - bulbs, bushes, small trees, succulents, anything you could think of. Very happy to see a thriving natives section, the honeysuckle was almost too enticing to pass up but went with phlox this trip.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff! Glad to know this place is nearby.

They are the best Nursery on the middle peninsula! Great family, great plants, and very helpful. We've been a customer for a long time now.

Went here for first time today and it was lovely! guy working was very nice and gave me some care tips for my new string of pearls he was very knowledgable! the house plants are gorg. if i didnt already have 100 plants i would have bought more but limited myself to just 5, prices are great too! cheaper/same as lowes and better quality for sure! nothing was overpriced most of the 4-6" house plants are 5.99, hanging baskets were about 10$ and many succulents 4-6" like large haworthias and echeverias also in 5$ range . i will deff be coming back as they did not have the string of turtles i was looking for that i saw in an old photo but i was thrilled with my new plants! they also have a super friendly kitty who followed me around the greenhouse; she is a nice little kitty and chirped up a storm! this is now my new favorite plant shop!

Beautiful plants and wide selection of bushes, trees, annuals, and perennial plants.

Lovely local garden center with knowledgeable staff and great prices! There are so many plant options, too.
Edit: we have returned several times, and every time, the service is great, and there are lots of plant options! We love it and hope to continue visiting multiple times a year for all our gardening needs!

Loving my plant purchases! I was happy to see a variety of plants I was looking for! Glad to see the selection of houseplants.

Plant selection is amazing. Must go through the store and out back. Very healthy plants. The shop was busy but the people were polite and friendly. Going back for a Venus Fly Trap. Their selection was excellent!
