Cannot recommend LampPost enough! After months of trying to get service from other local handymen and contractors it was only LampPost who promptly replied and got me scheduled. I had a fan on an 18' ceiling that needed replacement and some switches I wanted upgraded. Probably a smaller call to a company like this but they still treated me like I was getting an entire house done (I can't tell you how frustrating it was being blown off my so many others!). Before the techs arrived I was sent an email so I knew exactly who to expect. The work was quick clean and professional. I am thrilled to finally have a ceiling fan back in after a handful of months with a hole in my ceiling. They also inspected any other potential issues I might run into in the future without the heavy pressure sales tactics. I will certainly return for any future projects. Quality professional work.

These guys have wasted to much of our valuable time. We would confirm the day before that they were coming then the day of wouldn't should up. Finally after getting hold of them hours latter they had excuses for not coming and promised a new time and date to come do the work. After the 4th time this happened we decided enough is enough!

Mr. Floyd was hired because we were impressed by his eagerness to perform the job for my company. We had a large project involving the installation of a FASTBACK machine which was critical. Mr. Floyd promised to show up Saturday 9/12 at 12 noon. We called, left messages, texts but to no avail. Mr. Floyd finally showed up at 3:30 (the office closed at 4pm causing the Manager to stay over.. Now today, 9/14, he is to show up by 12noon. We've been calling him since 8am this morning to confirm his arrival. We are on schedule with the Installers, plumber, Forklift People but no word from the most important person, Mr. Floyd, the electrician. I would not recommend using this company for any further work due to lack of professionalism. We paid him a deposit the first day for him to buy supplies. NO GOOD!! WOULD YOU HIRE SOMEONE FROM A COMPANY, WHO IS THE OWNER WHO DOESN'T RESPOND?? We let our guard down and what a disappointment!!! 12:08 We finally heard from Lewis Floyd who said he was in Virginia Beach and would not come to do the electrical work he made promised to perform.
Now our company is in a terrible situation. If I could give a 0 this company still wouldn't be deserving. 09/29/20 Today we received a Collection Letter on behalf of the STOP Payment we placed on the check for $290.00 given to Lewis Floyd in advance for work will unwilling did not know he would not perform but this was a DEMAND of his. Mr. Floyd is a very clever and deceitful individual, he know that by going to Walmart to cash the check, the stop payment would not show up at Walmart as a Stop Payment. We , are filing a Civil case against :ewis Floyd for fraudulent deception. Who ever reads this "Review and you don't take this seriously, then be prepared to get ripped off by Lewis Floyd from New Light electric, who said he is the OWNER. Watch your finances. Don't trust this man or his company!! The sadness of it all is that WE trusted him here at our company!!!!

Amazing Staff and Professional and Courteous employees

I have called this company 3 times to get a quote. I was told that someone would contact me but that never happened.

The front desk receptionist is horrible. Very rude and condescending. Not helpful what so ever ,I wanted to talk to someone in charge of work and she couldn't get me threw to anyone . Towards the end of our call she made a smart comment.

I had two outdoor fixtures that needed repair. I had tried to do it myself, but it was more than I could handle. Mr. electric came and solved everything for me! They were courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and communicated very well. I would definitely use them again.

Ahmed is just the best! He identified issues I didn't know existed and he so knowledgeable about the job and very professional! I couldn't believe how quickly and professionally he had gotten the job done. I would recommend him to anyone in need of electric service. What an awesome experience thanks to Ahmed!!

I needed help with my porch lights. I had an issue where the breaker had been tripping and eventually left my porch light switch not functioning. After some DIY left me without a solution, I found Mr. ELECTRIC in a Google Search and they were able to get me an appt within 3 days. At approximately 250, a two hour visit was covered in terms of the diagnosis, labor, and any supplies needed to fix the problem. However, Shawn resolved my issue in 30 mins. It was well worth the expense. Best part was that Shawn took the time to show me where my issue was and how he fixed it so that I could be able to fix a similar issue in the future. He was well informed in his craft and was professional and very clean. I mean, this guy was straight out of an old Benetton or Calvin Klein advertisement. He provided me with an electronic copy of the summary of the proposed work ad well as a receipt for the services rendered. They accept card and check. I would highly recommend their services and I would use them again if the needed arose without reservation.

Very professional, thorough, and knowledgeable! Reason for the 3 stars and not 5 starts is because this service was completed during a post new build building inspection of a circuit breaker panel that was under recall. My panel was deemed safe but an extra "tune up" was conducted because the builder missed some basic stuff that could have been dangerous. I was told the bill would be sent to the building company because they had missed this stuff and they should be responsible. Due to purchasing a new surge protector after the inspection and having it installed, I was told that if the Builder didn't pay the extra tune up fee that I wouldn't have to worry about it. I recently received an email stating I still owed money for this job. Due to the worker's professional demeanor, knowledge and probably saving me from having an electrical fire I paid the bill. In the future I would recommend that employees are not making verbal deals with customers.

Ahmad provided excellent customer service in repairs of my smoke alarms as well as a couple of outlets. Prices for this company are HIGH, but Ahmad’s customer service was outstanding. Pricing appears to be almost double competitors that called while the repairs were being done. Ahmad’s quick response and customer service are what made the EXTREMELY HIGH prices doable as the alarm was making noises. It would be great if this company was more competitively priced as I have friends that are looking for recommendations. Better pricing would have resulted in 5 plus stars and a repeat customer.
