These guys are amazing. The first time I called them, they replaced my old, busted water heater in one day. The second time, I had bubbling toilets. They ended up finding multiple problems with the pipes and the valve into the septic tank. They got us functional within 2 hours of my call, and came back three days later (around a holiday weekend) to repair all of the issues. They were quick, professional, explained all the issues in layman's terms, and made the entire experience as positive as possible. I highly recommend them!

My water heater stopped working the night before, I called at 830 am the next day and was fit into the schedule the same day and they were able to work with my schedule as well. He gave me all the facts and options and answered an endless amount of questions. Also, there was no pressure I was given all the time I needed to make the decision that was right for me. They went above and beyond to make sure I was knowledgeable and able to make the most informed decision. The expertise, professionalism, honesty, and genuine caring for a customer made a bad situation so much easier. My 1996 water heater had a good life, I now have hot water ( a fixed toilet that I sprung on them) and they have a customer for life. I never write reviews, but if anyone else is like me I read them to help me make my decision on who to hire. I have already recommended them to my friends and family, I am genuinely grateful I finally found a plumbing company I can trust.

Called them at 8:15 this past Sunday night, and Gene called right back. My water heater thermostats were acting up for about the third time, finally tripping the unit's reset button and we decided it needed to be looked at. Gene came out around 9:40 am the very next day after setting up a visit, and had both elements and both thermostats replaced in ONE HOUR! SUPER respectful and nice, which is rare today! The only number I need to call for plumbing need I can't handle myself for time, know-how, or lack of specialty tools!

Update 2/7/25 - We had our water tank under our house leak with a broken pipe this past Tuesday night. I called the service line and they came out the next morning exactly when they said they would! Piping was replaced with an upgrade for us (Pex) and they were done within 30 minutes! I really can't say enough about Gene. If he offered other services I would hire him for EVERY single one of them!!!!

Great experience with D&G plumbing they were very polite and very helpful when they came out to unclog my septic line. Even moved me to top of the work load for the day. GREAT JOB D&G would recommend them whatever chance we get!

The work is okay, but they charged my credit card more than the quoted amount. I called them to confirm, and they started arguing about county law. I requested that if you guys have some CC transaction fees. The business is responsible for telling customers that if they pay with CC, we will charge you transaction fee. They should have mentioned something on the bill and just unthinkingly charged me. This is totally unacceptable. Please make sure to ask everything before doing any business with D&G

I have used D&G plumbing several times over the past several years.
I find them reasonable and honest.
They have done all my plumbing needs, from something simple like snaking a toilet to installing a safety bar in my shower to major projects.
I have recommended them to my neighbors and they have been very pleased.

They replaced the well pump for me through the local church charity. They never covered the well and when phoned to ask them to come back to cover it, they told me they would not come back. I phoned the church and asked them to contact the company to return. They didn't come back. I do appreciate the well pump replacement but I am upset that they never finished the job by covering the well.

Same day service. Came prepared for anything. Worked quickly and carefully. Answered all of my questions and offered great advice. Professional and friendly. Mannerly with speaking, knocking, and taking shoes off inside. Prices are affordable. I won’t call anyone else… they are my Plumbers, now.

Responsive and professional. Helped our family out with an emergency repair involving a failed bladder tank and pressure switch. Very grateful for the quick service and would highly recommend.

We came home from vacation to a nightmare in January and was referred to D & G from our FB neighborhood group. Gene and his wife were professional, acted fast, communicated with us so we knew what to expect and showed up when they said they would. Since then, I have reached out to them with questions about various things (because I know nothing about a well or plumbing), they have always responded and answered my questions without hesitation. Recently we had another service call and they were super responsive and just good honest people. With all of the things life throws at you being a homeowner, it can be difficult to find good people that you can trust to help take care of your home. D & G are just good humans that do great work, which is sometimes hard to come across in our world. I appreciate them more than they will ever know!! We certainly recommend D & G Plumbing whole heartedly!!!

I recently had D&G plumbing fix our well that had a leak and was allowing dirt to get into our water (which suckedddd) and D&G was ON it! Truly is such quick service and the quality is unbeatable! Wildly impressed by them and their friendly staff and will refer them to anyone and everyone!

The team at Hometown Heating and Air are amazing! They were quick to come out and diagnose the issue. They had the parts a few days later and came out as soon as they were delivered to install and get our unit up and running. It was after hours but they stayed until the job was done. We’re returning customers for sure!

Harrison told me we don’t gouge each other here in New Kent and he was at our home 35 mins later. He worked tirelessly to fix the issue with a very very fair price. Extremely unprofessional. We had scheduled an appointment to get an estimate, and Zach decided that instead of meeting us there, he showed up early, went on to the property unattended and left before me or my fiancé could even make it to the house. He was not interested in meeting us or discussing options, likely because it is a Friday afternoon and he wanted to be off the clock.

Excellent fast service. Our Outdoor unit broke on a Sunday afternoon was giving the option to have a tech come out on that day or Monday. I chose Monday and the tech discovered a bad compressor. They went over all available options. I decided to replace the compressor and it was ordered and installed the next day. Excellent communication from what to expect down to when they would be here and how long. I would highly recommend Hometown and I am glad to have a trustworthy reliable HVAC company in our community.
