We hired JZL landscaping services to build a stone patio last month and removed the leafs in backyard this month. We enjoyed their services very much. They spent time to address my concerns and made sure the jobs were done correctly.

TL;DR Stayed true to their quote, didn't try to upsell, and they are neighbor approved!

Used them to fix up my mess of the yard. It was a 10 hour job and they arrived early, coordinated with the neighbors regarding tree pruning and cutting, and did excellent work. The yard now matches with the rest of my street on looking clean and well kept. I'll definitely be using them for any future jobs I need.

UPDATED REVIEW: Although I did originally have an issue with the pricing and contract working with JZL, they contacted me and offered a very fair solution to the misunderstanding. The quality of their leaf removal work was very good and they even cleaned off our rook and gutters. I was very satisfied with their service and willingness to work with me to solve a contract issue I had.

Found JZL through Home Advisor and they were amazing! We had a run down flagstone path and steps up a hill and rotten planter boxes requiring complete redo given a new shed we installed. Their work was exceptional, fast and very economical. They also did an outstanding job cleaning up and power washed the entire driveway, sidewalks and the new hardscape. Absolutely recommend this group. Jose, Miriam and Emily were outstanding professionals and very courteous. Thank you

JZL had been recommended to us by 3 neighbors and we were not disappointed. They were responsive, professional, reasonably priced and went above and beyond our expectations with extra landscaping. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to landscape their yard.

JZL did a great job with our yard! The team helped us with spring clean up (leaves, bark chips, mowing, edging etc.). They were responsive, professional, and made our yard look great. We are continuing to use the service for regular lawn care and have been very happy!

I have used them for several jobs over the years. Planting large trees, moving existing landscape, a paved walking path, etc..... They are a good little company. Great communication, good work, and responsive to feedback. They can be a little pricey at times, but you get what you pay for with these things. Overall, very satisfied with them and regularly recommend them to the neighbors.

We just have to give a shout out about the amazing JZL Landscaping crew that worked (all day - in 95+ heat) on our yard. They pruned our tree, removed old mulch, put down fresh mulch everywhere even in all of my flower pots. They put down a truck full of river rock and cleaned everything. They have a great eye for detail, are professional, meticulous and some of the hardest working people we have ever met. We highly recommend them (and we are very particular).

JZL did a fantastic job on our front lawn. Their customer service was extremely responsive and was patient while we asked many, many questions before moving forward with our plans. When the time came for the actual work they showed up and worked incredibly hard, going above and beyond to deliver quality. We will certainly be using JZL for our future landscaping needs and we recommend you do, too!

JZL Landscaping Services provided a fantastic quality of work and customer service. They provided a quote on the weekend (due to a busy family schedule), and began the brick entryway repair the following week. While the scale of your job was small the attention to detail and the quality of their craftmanship is second to none. I cannot express my level of satisfaction and confidence in their abilities. Since my last review JZL returned Sept 21, 2023 to install a slate and river rock path in my backyard to connect two separate garden areas. We are delighted with the quality of the workmanship and the look of the path! Jose and his team also removed a large pile of lumber and in its place added a beautiful shade garden (see photo). The price was very reasonable. Attached is the “before” photo and several after photos. This is a top notch business. We continue giving JZL our unqualified recommendation.

I have been using JZL for a number of years to do our annual Spring yard cleanup trimming, weeding and mulching and to install plants and hardscapes as needed. This is our go to landscaping service. Jose and his team are consummate professionals and meticulous in achieving a park like setting on our 2 acre property. They do an exquisite job of weeding and mulching. Of the multiple landscaping services we have used over the past 30 years JZL is the best. I give them our unqualified recommendation.

I hired JZL to build a large retaining wall in my front yard to replace some existing landscape beds. Scheduling was a little rough, with a surprise cancellation the initial scheduled day. But they came to perform the work a week later and did an excellent job. They built the wall in 2 and a half days and it turned out beautifully. They also put in a path made of large stepping stones on the new terrace area. While I had mentioned this was something I was interested in, it was left off the initial estimate so I was surprised that they put it in, but I wasn't charged anything extra. It looks beautiful and I'm very pleased with it, but the lack of communication around it could have led to an uncomfortable mistake.

Overall I give the company very high marks for craftsmanship, efficiency, and value (I felt we got our wall for a very good price), but they could stand to improve the clarity of their communications. Five stars nonetheless for a beautiful end result.

My neighbor recommended JZL to me because I wanted a new front walkway and a new back patio. Jose and the men who did the work were absolutely AMAZING. They went over and above what the job called for. They were always on time in the morning and worked very efficiently all day. They cleaned up after themselves every day too. I bought a toilet and I found the tank was broken till the installation. They asked me to pick up a new one, and again, they gave me a wrong model... !!

Full of incompetence. Very poor in communicating. Trying to set up flooring installation and delivery. Multiple times they changed orders, delivery options, and failed to notify me. I had to call to correct everything and even when they set something up, they fail to enter into the system correctly so it has to get done multiple times. Never seems like enough people working either, so be prepared to wait or get put on hold.

I dont like how they screen their outsourced contractors. They should all be held to a standard. I purchased a microwave here and a random guy showed up to install it. When they left we noticed a large scratch on the table. I am sure its an accident but trying to work with home depot was a mess. They didn't care and didn't compensate us at all. When i asked them to come back and see the scratch it ended up being a completely different group of guys ????

worst experience ever - do NOT buy any flooring here ! the supposed "expert" who they insisted had to come out to our house assured me the laminate floor would be no problem, took the day off after waiting weeks for the floor ( and paying all in advance) - installers said , No , Home Depot got it wrong, they could not install ( despite being the installers that Home Depot works with and had subcontracted this to). Now a month of limbo, calling on daily basis - no one can resolve it, they are asking for random extra amounts unjustifiable on any paperwork - installer has given them figures. They no longer return our calls or call us - as they have our money we have no choice but to go to court, currently dealing with supposed customer care and HQ - what a bunch of crooks and liars. do not go there for flooring, suggest Lowes or anywhere else, inefficient, inept and inconsiderate. No one is running this store.

Sky NRG Solar recently completed the solar install at my home and I could not be happier with the results. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in solar. I spent a lot of time researching various PV solar panels, components, and design considerations. When I started contacting local solar install companies I found that almost all provided little or no choice on components, panels, and other add-ons; I felt my time was wasted researching and I would not be able to get exactly what I wanted. When Rob from Sky NRG Solar reached out to me he had a much different tone, he was excited to deliver the system that I envisioned and provide a solution that would exceed our expectations and meet our energy goals.
Sky NRG Solar clearly separated themselves from competitors by the following:
1. Allowing solar panel choice which was very important because warranties differ between manufacturers.
2. Providing inside wiring of conduit rather than having metal conduit exposed along a roofline and down the side of the home; and the resulting look is worth it.
3. My installation also included a consumption meter, no other vendor offered this. Without the consumption meter you are only seeing a third of the picture, you only see how much solar you a producing; however, with the consumption meter I can see how much I am self-consuming from solar, how much I am using from the power company, and most importantly when my utilization goes up. This truly gives a full energy picture within your home and makes you very aware of the energy you produce and consume on a regular basis.
4. Throughout the entire experience they treated every aspect of the design and install as if it were their own home. The placement of components like the inverter were all strategic, ultimately minimizing costs for improvements in the future and allowing us to quickly add additional components (like a whole home battery or electric vehicle charger) for when we are ready without having to relocate any existing components.
5. Finally, Rob and his team have a genuine passion for solar energy and it is displayed by the work they do and the finished product.
After the first visit Rob was able to provide a detailed quote with sizing, pricing, and component selection. Unlike other vendors I corresponded with he was quickly able to provide component specification sheets that provided all the details needed for the system that was to be installed, this even included the rail color and hardware. We went through some iterations and changes in the quote and finally decided on a different panel type than originally planned, he was able to price quickly and update the quote.
Rob provided all the information necessary for all HOA approval docs, he took care of all the county permit applications and design documents, and the coordination with the power company for our net meter install. I simply had to post the permit on our front door. The detail included in the documentation was second to none. Once the HOA approval was done and the permits were ready he was able to coordinate the delivery of the panels and components to our home with us. Shortly after the delivery his team got to work installing; they worked long and hard to get the install completed as quickly as they did. Most importantly their entire team treated our home like it was their own home; very respectful and clean. The result was visually attractive, functional from day one, and insightful regarding our power production and consumption.

SkyNRG designed and built a ground-mounted system for our home. Their pricing was competitive and they worked to provide the system we wanted, rather than the one the other contractors wanted to sell us. When a shipping company damaged some materials, SkyNRG took care of it, and when a manufacturer failed to meet its obligations, SkyNRG solved the problem and stood by its original pricing. Their service to us was thoroughly professional – we will turn to them again if any expansion to the system is ever anticipated.

Five-stars and more! From initial contact through planning, installation and activation, the Sky NRG team was terrific. Clear explanation of options, managed expectations and delivered as planned. They even fixed a faulty circuit from prior work. Beautiful installation that looks and works great. Wonderful follow-thru on getting us all available benefits!
